78 Ch. 78 An Uninvited Guest

Anxia lost count of how many times she stretched her right hand back and forth. She bent and straightened her arm repeatedly while massaging her upper arm with her left hand.

She did those gymnastics-like movements on the balcony facing the flower garden to calm her heart which was filled with immense aggravation.

Her perverted husband made her hand labor more than she could handle.

‘You have to fix me.’

When she heard her husband’s words, Anxia knew that whatever her husband asked for would not benefit her.

And it turned out to be true. Once they reached the bathroom, Richard asked her to help the man get released. Richard even made her hand come into contact with that, grip it, and move it back and forth as if she were washing a bottle.

Now Anxia felt her hands hurt as if she had just lifted a heavy object, and she couldn’t stop blaming her shameless husband.

“Mommy!”

Anxia instantly turned around to greet her daughter with a big smile, especially for her daughter.

“Lori, you are my best baby.” praised Anxia.

Thanks to her daughter’s unexpected calling, she could escape the lion’s trap in time.

She didn’t understand how she could fall into his deadly temptation as if her body craved his touch.

If Lori hadn’t come looking for them, Richard would have eaten her right then and there.

They had done it four years ago, but that was because Anxia was willing to do it for her revenge mission.

Anxia still couldn’t trust anyone. She was willing to try to open her heart a little and believe whatever her husband said.

If her husband said Ling Meng was safe, she would believe it. But she still wasn’t ready to put her whole life into Richard’s hands, and that’s why she didn’t want to do the deed for the second time.

She didn’t want Richard to plant his seed again and granted Lori’s wish to have a younger sibling.

If she got pregnant again and gave birth to her second child, Anxia wasn’t sure she could break away from Richard. Even now, she has bonded with the man through Lori’s presence. If she were to have another child with the man... there was no turning back.

Anxia was afraid that she would fall in love with her husband. She was worried that Richard would betray her and her sincere feelings would be taken advantage of just like master Yu used her.

But can she survive? Can she keep drawing a line while Richard keeps crossing it?

While Anxia was trying to fight off the foreign feelings that rose in her emotions, Anxia felt tired. As she tried to block her husband from entering her heart, she felt her strength drain rapidly.

Would things go easier if she gave up? Would she not feel too exhausted if she chose to bond with Richard?

Lori kissed Anxia’s cheek to break her mother’s trance.

“Why do you put on a scary face?”

“Scary? Are you afraid of me?”

Lori smiled broadly, showing clean white teeth, and making Anxia’s heart filled with beautiful colors.

“No. I love you, mommy.” Lori wrapped her hands around Anxia’s neck to place a lingering kiss on Anxia’s cheek.

Her daughter’s sweet kisses made Anxia laugh out loud, lightening her heavy heart.

On the other side, Richard was sitting in front of his computer with a butler standing in front of his desk.

“Are you sure she already left?”

“Yes, sir. As soon as young miss arrives here and meets Miss Lori, young miss returns to England.”

“How did she know I was here?”

“She doesn’t know, sir. It looks like she purposely came here for a vacation. But she just left when she discovered that you and your family lived here.”

“What was her expression when she found out Lori was my daughter?” The longer he talked about this uninvited guest, the more agitated his heart became.

He knew this uninvited guest very well, and this guest was a descendant of a member of the Heinest royal family. Richard felt sure the person who brought Lori to look for him when he was about to make love with his wife was that woman.

“She doesn’t seem to know yet. But she knows you are married, and Miss Lori is the madam’s daughter.”

“I understand. You may go back.”

The butler bowed his head slightly and then returned to his delayed work because he had to serve a mysterious guest.

Richard was still focusing his eyes on his computer monitor, showing the figure of a woman in her mid-twenties getting off the helicopter and entering this palace.

The woman had the beauty of a fairy with golden blonde hair like precious gold bars, while her eyes were the color of a brilliant green that made the youths who saw her feel enchanted.

Richard was one of them. He once was fascinated by the woman’s extraordinary beauty. Not only Richard but his twin brother also fell for the woman.
