Chapter 163 - 163 Ch. 163 A War-like Match

163 Ch. 163 A War-like Match

“We should call it a day for now. It’s noon; after all, it’s about time we―”

“No. I want to play one more time.” Anxia cut in without giving Raymond a chance to continue his words.

Anxia remembered that the Raymond-Michele pair dominated the current score. If she stopped now, then she would lose. Even though she was careful not to make Michele reveal her past, she wasn’t going to let the other woman bully her over to this match.

On the other hand, Michele was irritated by Anxia’s manner towards her husband. Raymond had been kind enough to offer her to stop, but Anxia cut him off and refuted him indifferently.

“Xia Xia, aren’t you hungry? It’s time for us to eat.” Richard tried to persuade his stubborn wife―Anxia almost agreed if Michele had not further provoked her.

“Alright. Let’s play one more round.”

Raymond and Richard turned to Michele with a look of disbelief.

Oh, come on. They wouldn’t be able to refuse if their wives agreed to continue their game. Richard and Raymond could only grant the women’s wish helplessly.

The game started, and Raymond threw the ball toward Richard, and the game went on as usual. But as soon as the ball fell into Anxia’s hands, the girl deliberately aimed it at Michele, and Michele aimed it at Anxia.

.....

As the ball flew towards Raymond, Michele ran to her husband, took over the ball, and hit it toward Anxia. Likewise, Anxia always took Richard’s turn and made sure she was the one who hit the ball toward Michele. No one realized the couple’s match turned into a single match between two women.

Richard just stood behind Anxia shaking his head, while Raymond scratched his forehead while watching his wife, who didn’t seem tired at all in continuing this game. In the end, Richard and Raymond decided to return to their families, and both took their drink bottles.

“Brothers, what happened to them? Why don’t they give you a turn?”

Richard gulped down his bottle without giving his sister an answer, while Raymond shrugged his shoulders in response to his sister.

“It seems the third world war has occurred in this place.”

Harmonie smiled, amused at her father’s comment, while Meisya hit her husband’s chest in exasperation. In contrast, Raymond and Richard could only sigh in resignation while watching their two wives still so excited about throwing the ball at each other.

“Shouldn’t you stop them?” this time, it was Meisya who asked, as she couldn’t bare to see her daughters hurt. “They would get hurt.”

“Let them be. I’ve never seen Michele this excited,” Raymond said in an amused tone.

“Me neither. I never saw Xia Xia willing to linger under the sun like this, and seeing them like this once in a while isn’t bad either.”

No one knew how long it took for the two women to throw the ball at each other to score, and Harmonie painstakingly recorded their scores because of the request of the two. It wasn’t a request because they kept asking Harmonie in a demanding tone to record their scores carefully.

At one point, the stamina of both of them was on the verge of limit. Michele couldn’t move her legs anymore, while Anxia also felt all her nerves begging her to stop. Seeing the two of them panting for breath made Raymond and Richard approach their wives.

“Michele, it’s time to stop.”

“No. I still don’t want to stop.”

“Michele,” Raymond called her name not as gently as usual but with a firm tone and a slightly domineering aura that made Michele couldn’t help but feel weak.

In the end, Michelle complied, and just as she decided to stop, her legs suddenly went limp, and she would have fallen had Raymond not swiftly wrapped his arms around her waist.

In the meantime, Richard approached his wife to tell her to stop as Raymond had done.

“I can still play. Go away, don’t bother me.”

Richard’s jaw twitched at the sound of his wife shooing him away like he was an insignificant nuisance. Without warning, Richard carried Anxia in a bridal style making the girl shriek in surprise.

“Looks like you still have a lot of energy. If you want to use up all your energy, I know an efficient way to do it.”

“What?” Anxia suddenly panicked when she realized her husband’s hidden intentions, especially when Richard took her away from the rest of the family. “No. No, I want to go back! I’m tired!” Anxia struggled by swinging her legs up and down but Richard’s arms were still firmly holding her.

Raymond, walking back to his family’s side while embracing his wife, was surprised by his twin brother, who instead walked away and entered a corner area.

“Oma, where are dad and mom going?” not only Raymond but Lori was also confused by the sudden departure of her parents.

But before Meisya could answer her granddaughter’s question, Harmonie answered the little girl in a mischievous tone.

“They’re making a baby brother for you.”

Harmonie’s answer made the others widen their eyes while Lori smiled happily, and Stanley rubbed his forehead in resignation.

“Yippie!! I will have a brother!”

“Then, should we also give Eugene a little sister?” Raymond’s teasing of his wife brought a blush to Michele’s face.

“Stop it. We are not alone.”

“Okay. I’ll entice you when we’re alone.”

If Michele’s face could be redder, it would by now upon hearing her husband’s teasing.

Harmonie smiled broadly; seeing the closeness of her two older brothers towards their wives made her think of her ex, and suddenly her eyes were cloudy again without any light.

Meisya was the first to notice the change in her daughter’s eyes. She walked over to Moni to hold her hand and smiled gently when Moni glanced at her.

Harmonie smiled along with Meisya, and then they decided to enter the building and discuss their lunch menu.

In the evening, Richard invited his two younger siblings and wife to The Maggiore Wine Bar. Meanwhile, Stanley and Meisya stayed home to look after the little ones and put them to sleep so they wouldn’t sleep too late.

Stanley and Meisya let their children, the younger generation, have fun late into the night.

Since Raymond married Michele, the siblings rarely had adventures together like in the past, even though their relationship was very close. In addition, since Richard married Anxia and took care of everything that was often approached by danger, Richard rarely contacted his family so that their enemies would not target his family.

Tonight would be the most highly anticipated because they would spend quality siblings’ time. Even though two new members were added―the twins’ wives- they still enjoyed their moments together happily.
