Chapter 164 - 164 Ch. 164 Harmonie Is A Trouble Fixer

164 Ch. 164 Harmonie Is A Trouble Fixer

The Maggiore Wine Bar was unique because the building was carved into tunnels and caves, and this place provides the most complete variety of wines in the world. The atmosphere inside also was warm and very suitable to be used as a gathering place with friends or lovers.

“Wait a minute. Didn’t you two drink wine last night? That means you can’t drink more than two glasses today.” Harmonie advised in the tone of a mother giving a strict ban on her two children.

Harmonie’s advice made her two older siblings roll their eyes lazily, but they took her advice. After all, one of them had to drive the car back home, so they agreed not to get too drunk and could drive in total sobriety.

As usual, Anxia and Michele were still silent to each other and only answered modestly when someone spoke to them. Richard and Raymond only sighed because their two wives still felt awkward with each other.

Although they had tried to persuade their two wives to be casual and relaxed, neither could live up to their expectations.

“Hey, at this time of night, you know what works best to keep us warm?” after having a few drinks at the bar, Harmonie suddenly indulged in a riddle with great enthusiasm.

“What?” Raymond asked with an amused smile.

“Crepes! Don’t you agree?” Harmonie deliberately asked her two sisters-in-law because she knew both were crepes fans.

“I guess so,” Anxia replied gently, while Michelle only nodded in agreement with her sister-in-law’s proposal.

.....

“Okay. You two, go out there and buy us crepes. I want Nutella and cheese.”

Why now did Richard and Raymond suddenly feel like they were helpers?

As soon as her two older siblings came out of the building like a cave tunnel, Harmonie directly grabbed Michelle and Anxia’s hands, shocking them both.

“Moni? What is it?”

“Shhh. It’s not fun to be with men. I’d rather be with you girls.”

Anxia and Michelle looked at each other for a while, and both silently agreed to do whatever Harmonie wanted.

Harmonie took them out through the back door and a relatively cold night breeze immediately greeted them, along with city lights adorning the two sides of the road.

“Anxia, ??do you know the way to the Thames?”

“Yeah. You want to go there?”

“Yup. I heard the view is breathtaking at night.”

“Okay. We can walk while neutralizing the alcohol in our bodies… but….” Anxia glanced at Michelle doubtfully.

The distance to the Thames wasn’t too far if they took a car, but if they walked… they could spend half an hour or even an hour.

Anxia didn’t know whether Michelle was strong enough to walk for a long time, but she didn’t want to risk offending the girl by lowering her stamina.

As for Harmonie, Anxia knew that Harmonie could walk and even run for hours, so she didn’t need to worry about that girl.

Michele felt Anxia’s gaze, and it was evident that the girl seemed hesitant to open her mouth. Although Anxia didn’t speak, Michele understood what the girl wanted to talk about.

“I can walk a long time. We can chat with each other and enjoy the view of the city.”

Anxia blinked a few times to digest Michele’s sentence.

Chat with each other? Does that mean Michele is willing to converse with Anxia?

“Good. Anxia, ??you will be our guide.” Harmonie immediately grabbed Anxia’s right arm because Michele was standing on Anxia’s left.

Michele could see how close Harmonie and Anxia’s relationship was to the point Moni didn’t feel nervous about taking Anxia’s arm.

For a moment, Michele remembered her childhood when Anxia first came to her house and became her sister. The girl was so sweet and followed her wherever she went.

Anxia never felt shy or afraid when Anxia held her hand or hugged her arm when Anxia sought Michele’s attention. It was a joyful moment that made Michele feel happy.

But…

Michelle’s heart clouded over at the thought that what little Anxia was doing was just a play to catch her heart and her family’s. She shook her head vigorously to dispel any evil thoughts about Anxia.

Michele had already decided to start afresh with Anxia. She wouldn’t be able to do it if she kept remembering the past that made her hate her husband’s brother’s wife.

“Michele, you can hold Anxia’s hand if you want. Anxia’s jacket is warmer than ours.”

Michele widened her eyes at Harmonie’s proposal while Anxia kept a straight face.

Previously, Anxia did not know or was suspicious of Harmonie’s super duper attachment to her. Before this, Moni had approached her without fear or embarrassment, but not this clingy.

Only when Harmonie proposed to Michele to move closer to Anxia by holding her other arm did she understand. Harmonie had been trying to get her closer to Michele!

Anxia didn’t know if Michelle would reconcile with her, and she didn’t know whether Michele still viewed her as an enemy. But Anxia felt sure of one thing―the hatred she once felt for Michele had disappeared without a trace.

Anxia didn’t know when she got rid of her hatred, but now she wanted to sincerely make up with the girl she once considered his sister.

At first, Anxia didn’t know how to fix this broken relationship. Instead, she became wary whenever she was with Michele, fearing that Michele would reveal all of her past sins to her husband’s family.

Now Harmonie paved the way for her―opened up an opportunity for Anxia to mend her relationship with Michele. How could Anxia waste this opportunity?

“If you’re freezing, you can hold my hand, Jie Jie,” said Anxia in a gentle and sincere voice. Her old endearment stunned Michele as this was the first time Anxia had called her like that since their reunion.

Michele looked at Anxia with a probing look as if she was trying to find out if Anxia had some ulterior motive for bringing her closer. What if Anxia swung her knife toward her like she did years ago?

‘Hhhh… Michele, Michelle. Didn’t you decide to forget about that incident?’ Michele scolded herself.

In the end, Michelle walked over and wrapped her arms around Anxia’s arms as tightly as Harmonie’s.

“Gosh! Your hands are so comfy!” Michele shrieked involuntarily because she had been shivering with cold as soon as she left the bar.

“I know, right? Anxia has always had a more heated body than normal humans.”

“Hey! Do you mean I’m not normal?” Anxia grumbled, making Harmonie laugh out loud.

Maybe because Michele was relaxed and held her hand without hesitation, Anxia also relaxed and enjoyed everyone’s company.

Harmonie’s grin widened when she managed to melt the awkward atmosphere between her two sisters-in-law. Her two older brothers would have been shocked to see their two wives standing without a gap separating them.

As usual, her brothers were useless, and they needed her to fix their wives’ problems!!
