194 Ch. 194 The Siblings’ Fight (part 2)

“Moni, from now on, you are banned from meeting with Andrew.”

The corners of Harmonie’s lips twitched at the commanding tone that didn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.

“What is it all about? Why did you burst into our room and make that ridiculous ban?”

“Doesn’t matter. I won’t allow you to meet him alone.”

“How dare you! What rights do you have over me?”

“I am your brother!!”

“And I’m not a little child!!” countered Harmonie with a fierce look as if she was a fearless warrior in front of the terrifying lion king.

The brother and sister pair no longer made a sound and only looked at each other with intense gazes without anyone wanting to give up.

On the other side, Michele and Anxia looked at each other without knowing what to do. Before this, Michele and Anxia went through a cold war, and Harmonie, with her brothers, was trying to reconcile them. And yet, why is Richard now waging another cold war with his beloved sister?

.....

Anxia decided to walk over to her husband and took his hand gently, but his husband still didn’t move from his place and looked at his little sister while clenching his jaw as if he was trying his best to swallow all the words he wanted to say.

In the end, Anxia hugged the man tightly and patted the furious man’s back gently, stunning Harmonie and Richard with what she was doing. At the very least, Anxia managed to divert the attention of these two stubborn siblings.

“Richie, Uncle Leon’s wedding anniversary will soon begin. We still need a long time to dress up. Can you put it off until tomorrow?”

“No. If we postpone it until tomorrow, Harmonie musn’t get out of this room tonight.”

Anxia, as well as Michele, choked up hearing this sentence―not because of the words but because Raymond was the one who said this verdict.

When Harmonie saw her two brothers insisting on keeping her away from Andrew, who had just confessed his feelings, Harmonie’s face turned red with anger.

“Why are you doing this to me? Are you really my brothers?”

“It is because we are your brothers. It’s for your own good, Moni.” Raymond replied gently but in a firm tone. In this case, Raymond was more patient and kept his emotions in check, although his tone still conveyed that he didn’t want to be challenged.

“My own good? Which one exactly? You guys locked me in this room without telling me a reasonable reason? You guys never could lock me up when I was a child. Why do you think you could do it now? I will run away once you restrain me.”

“Harmonie, calm down. I’m sure they didn’t mean what they said.” Michele put her arm around Harmonie’s shoulder to calm her down and relieve the tense atmosphere in the room. Unfortunately, her husband didn’t help her by continuing his words.

“We meant with our every word, though.”

Anxia glanced at Harmonie, who was biting her lips in frustration and eyes red from trying to hold back the tears. This was the first time she saw a girl as cheerful and agile as Harmonie; showing tears made her feel guilty.

If she hadn’t told Richard about Harmonie and Andrew’s sailed-ship… maybe this would not have happened.

No wonder this husband suddenly became quiet

as soon as he heard this news. It turned out her husband didn’t like the idea of ??his sister being with Andrew. But why?

Why was Richard against it? Why was Raymond also against it and forbade Harmonie from meeting Andrew? Anxia couldn’t comprehend the twins’ way of thinking. Besides, aren’t these two adore Andrew?

“Richie, you know full well you can’t stop feeling someone once they grow. Wouldn’t it be better if you talked about it carefully? Give her a valid reason why you guys are against it.”

Richard glanced at his wife, embracing him fearlessly even though he was emitting a dangerous aura ready to pounce on anyone. However, when the irresistible scent and two tiny arms wrapped around his waist assaulted him, Richard’s sanity returned. Guilt overwhelmed him when he noticed tears gathered in Harmonie’s eyes―his sister looked hurt and disappointed in him.

Richard had no intention of making his sister cry―he only didn’t want Moni to get entangled deeper with Andrew. It was fine if their bond was only cousins, but it was wholly matter if they were in a relationship.

After a while, Richard turned to his twin brother as if they were communicating through their eyes.

“Alright. How about a bet?” Raymond’s suggestion made everyone look at him in confusion. “Tonight, We’re going to play ‘which one and which one.’

If you or Andrew can guess, we have nothing against you.”

“Rei, what are you―”

“On the other hand,” Reymond interrupted Richard’s confused inquiry, adding, “If you guys fail, you should be willing to separate from him without fighting back.”

Harmonie bit her lip hearing her brother’s suggestion. Just hearing about this type of game made her pale, but now she had to bear the risk she would face if she lost this game.

Meanwhile, Anxia and Michele were both wondering about the game Raymond meant. What kind of game is that? And why did Harmonie seem like someone who had lost badly before even going into battle?

“No. I don’t want to play something that you’ll have the ultimate win. This is not fair!”

“You get some help, don’t you? Unless Andrew is unwilling to help you―he is a coward then,” countered Raymond without putting on his usual friendly smile, making Michele wonder at her husband’s attitude.

“So will I and Michele. We will help you.” Anxia’s statement made the twin brothers surprised to hear it. “Isn’t that so, Jie Jie?”

Michele didn’t know what kind of game she was going to face, but if her sister-in-law needed help, she would willingly help.

“Absolutely. I will help you. Don’t worry.” After all, Michele felt indebted to Harmonie because she had paved the way for her to reconcile with Anxia. She would do anything to help Harmonie in every way she could.

“Michele? You’re my wife. Aren’t you supposed to be at my side?”

“Xia Xia, you too. You are my wife. Why are you siding her against me?”

Anxia let go of her embrace, stepped back two steps, and then folded her arms in front of her chest.

“I will side with you if you act like an older brother who cares about his sister’s happiness. But who knows what got into you, so you can’t think straight. So this time, I will not be on your side.”

“Me too.” Michele continued to show her husband that she had the same answer as Anxia.

“Do you know what kind of game we would play?” Raymond craved to devour his wife’s lips so she wouldn’t say any more defiant words.

“Let them play, then.” Richard cut in before his brother exposed the mysterious game. “But in exchange, if you lose, you will receive my punishment for daring to defy me.”

Anxia widened her eyes at the heavy and dangerous tone of her husband. Not to mention, the gleam in Richard’s eyes that were so enthusiastic that he wanted to punish her in a way that she definitely didn’t wish to―made her shudder.

“Interesting. Then, it’s a deal,” stated Raymond, grinning at his wife.

Those overconfident twins made their wives want to reverse the time. Is there still a chance to withdraw from the game?
