Richard and Anxia still felt sleepy and tired because their minds and souls had been drained due to the bad news that had befallen them. Even so, they forced themselves to stay up to accompany their daughter to breakfast before dropping her off at school.

Anxia was confused about finding the right answer when Lori asked about a new baby. Now that they knew they couldn’t give Lori a sibling, Anxia didn’t know how to explain this to her daughter without upsetting the little girl.

“Don’t worry. Lori isn’t a kid who gets moody or upset easily; she will understand and won’t nag us.” Richard reassured her in a tone full of pride for their only daughter.

Lori never complained and rarely fussed to the point of irritating his parents. When she received news that didn’t match her expectations, Lori only frowned for a moment, and then her mind quickly shifted in another direction. Even though Lori would feel disappointed that something wouldn’t go as she had hoped, the child would not be sad or complaining. Instead, Lori will find something fun to replace her sadness.

“I guess you’re right,” agreed Anxia when she saw her daughter entering the school building and chatting happily with her friends. “She’s so much like you.”

“Why do you say that?”

“She’s easygoing like you and has brilliant, mischievous ideas like you. Her face is also similar to yours, so I won’t believe she is my daughter if I didn’t give birth to her.”

Richard put his arm around his wife’s waist and chuckled. “That is not true. She has your smile. Also… I didn’t expect her to inherit your temperament.”

“What?” Anxia glanced viciously at her husband, making Richard wince.

“See, you’re already angry like this just because I teased you. I don’t want to have a daughter who gets angry easily.” teased Richard while pinching his wife’s nose playfully, making Anxia snort while swatting her husband’s hand away from her nose.

But she couldn’t hide her smile in response to her husband’s last sentence. Anxia was relieved because Lori was not easily emotional or held grudges like herself. She knew very well what it was like to live with hatred for so many years without being able to make her happy—her bad temper made her the enemy of anyone she met.

However, her daughter was different. Lori was very smiley and quickly forgave other people’s mistakes. Even people who used to hate her couldn’t bear to hurt her because of how big a heart such a small girl had.

Anxia hoped that Lori’s life could be colorful and meaningful during her growth. She didn’t want Lori to suffer the same fate as her and would do whatever it took to ensure that only a smile stayed on her daughter’s face.

“Let us go home,” Richard suggested while yawning widely, covering his mouth with one hand.

“You still sleepy?”

“Yeah. I want to go back to sleep for a few more hours.”

“Did something happen at the office? I heard the value of your shares has decreased.”

“That’s how it is. I don’t know which bored party wanted to slander us by spreading videos defaming us.”

“What a coward. If I were that person, I would have confronted you directly.”

Richard chuckled at his wife’s words. “Well, my wife is not an ordinary lady; only you would dare face me head-on.” Richard brushed his wife’s nose with his own, then took Anxia’s hand to go back home.

When the two arrived in their room, Anxia stared in disbelief when she saw her husband had fallen asleep as soon as he lay down on the bed.

Is the man exhausted when dealing with problems in the office? Well, she would never know how much pressure work in the office because she has never worked as an office worker. Even if she wasn’t sleepy, she still accompanied her husband, given Richard always sulked if she wasn’t by his side when he awakes.

However, lying in her husband’s arms for a long time bored her and made her sleepy—she fell asleep without knowing.

Anxia didn’t know how long she had fallen asleep, and she didn’t even know that she had fallen asleep. She had just woken up when she felt something squeezing her chest and something long pressing down on her lower part.

Anxia still closed her eyes when she felt something sucking her neck harshly, creating an erotic groan from her throat.

“I need you.” cut Richard in a hoarse voice, making Anxia no longer resist and let her husband do anything to her.

Now Richard was on top of Anxia’s body perfectly, and this time Richard could knead the two twin hills simultaneously with his two hands. He pulled away and stood straight with his legs crossed to remove his shirt. As if there was a magnet between them, Anxia woke up, took off her T-shirt, and threw it somewhere.

Their mouths collided with each other again once they had no cloth covering their upper bodies. Richard pushed his wife with his body weight, making them lie back on their bed to make love. His hand began to move to feel the soft skin of his wife’s stomach, then crawled down to something that would take them both to the seventh heaven.

Anxia herself also did not remain silent, and her fingers caressed her husband’s muscular muscles, making Richard groan with pleasure.

Richard’s fingers reached Anxia’s lower lips crease and ran his index finger right in the middle of the fold.

“You’re already wet.” Richard grinned breathlessly as he briefly broke off their advance.

“Whose fault is that? You must take responsibility.”

Richard’s grin grew wider upon hearing that. “With pleasure. But… I want to try something else.”
