Chapter 267 - 267 Ch. 267 Richard’s Anger (part 2)

267 Ch. 267 Richard’s Anger (part 2)

The Guardian Angel relied on the power of data to put criminals in jail and give the government a fair trial to the people. The Guardian Angel that people know was not someone who easily takes lives or seeks revenge. The Cerberus also has the same mindset and agrees not to take a human’s life recklessly.

Their way of taking revenge or punishing evil people differed significantly from Anxia, who wanted revenge by killing everyone who hurt her. That’s why Richard tried his best to make Anxia reconcile with her past and not think back on her revenge plans. After all, if Anxia managed to kill Michele or anyone she wanted to kill, she would never return what she had lost.

In contrast to Anxia, whose hands were dirty and filled with human blood, Richard’s hands were still clean as he had never taken someone else’s life from his own hands or others.

His act of revenge and the punishment he gave to criminals was to expose their crimes and gather strong evidence to throw them all in jail and get punishment commensurate with their crimes.

Some received prison sentences for dozens of years, and some received life sentences. Regardless, Richard had never personally acted to inflict punishment and kill his target.

But now...

When Richard saw how someone was choking his son while imprinting extensive trauma on a small child, Richard lost control, and without him knowing it, he fired his gun at the man’s shoulder.

Fortunately, his brain could still think clearly, so he didn’t target the man’s head and only injured his shoulder. He deliberately lured that person out of this mansion and took the man to greenfield.

Richard had purposely challenged that person one-on-one and didn’t care if he was deemed a cheat for fighting an injured person. After all, that evil man also didn’t behave like a gentleman when strangling a child.

.....

Richard posed in a stance to fight against him and immediately threw a fist at Song Lei as soon as the older man drew closer to him.

As Richard had expected, Song Lei tried to remove his mask and glasses to see his face. People would find out who had attacked them so that the next day that person could find and hunt down their attackers.

Of course, Richard wouldn’t let Song Lei take off his glasses and mask so easily. He even used advanced glasses to record the man’s movements and predict his next move.

“What’s wrong, old man? Has age consumed you?” Richard purposely provoked the man in a scornful tone.

He didn’t need to worry that Song Lei would recognize his voice because he had used a voice changer, making his voice sound deeper than usual.

Song Lei made no comment and thought hard about defeating this man. He remembered he had a shuriken in his waistcoat pocket and smiled crookedly inside. He purposely kept his expression low so that his opponent couldn’t read what he was planning.

After contemplating what kind of attack he would make, Song Lei rushed towards Richard as fast as he could and threw a fist toward Richard’s stomach.

Richard had already guessed the movement with the help of his glasses and swiftly dodged the punch. He didn’t expect that when he swerved to the left to avoid Song Lei’s right fist, the sly man grabbed a knife with his left hand and thrust it toward Richard’s stomach.

Luckily, the X-sharp eyeglasses immediately showed a visual image of the sharp object, so the knife didn’t penetrate his stomach and only scratched his skin.

Seeing how skillfully Richard dodged his attacks made Song Lei feel furious. Now he was sure that the glasses were not ordinary and detected and predicted all his attack movements.

Even though Song Lei still wanted to fight, he felt his shoulders numb and sweat wetting his back.

Damn! Why was he careless and let this guy shoot him in the shoulder? Song Lei cursed himself in his head.

“Are you Deke Shu’s dog?”

Richard didn’t answer and walked around while waiting for the man’s continuation. While he sensed Song Lei had no intention of continuing his sentence without a response, Richard finally decided to answer.

“Master Shu does not like his heir to be hurt.”

In truth, Richard was betting, and he didn’t expect him to win the bet at all. Song Lei’s face looked pale when he heard his words.

Richard still needed to find out whether Deke Shu was his wife’s grandfather or not. He instead hoped that Anxia was not related to Deke Shu at all.

However, Song Lei even mentioning Deke Shu’s name made him inevitably think that Deke Shu was indeed his wife’s grandfather. And the moment Richard said that Deke Shu didn’t like his heir getting hurt was just a lucky guess.

He had no idea how important Song Lei or Loraine Shu was to the Di Sha organization. But his members had been investigating this organization and Deke Shu’s background for the past few days.

Few results came out regarding Deke Shu as if this person was essential and powerful, so his private life was very secret.

But he knew one thing. All the members of Di Sha are terrified of Deke Shu, and they would do whatever Deke asks them to do and dare not go against him.

“Say my apologies to him. I won’t hurt him again.” Song Lei said, making Richard laugh inside.

‘You are sorry? And won’t hurt him again?’ How could Richard ever forgive this man?

Every nerve in his body itched to beat this person, black and blue. If necessary, he would snatch that person’s knife and stab it into Song Lei’s chest time and time again.

But Richard didn’t. He wasn’t an assassin, and even if he decided to change professions to become one, he wouldn’t be stupid by acting rashly to make people suspicious.

If Richard showed uncontrollable anger because Song Lei harmed Elliot, that evil man would suspect that Richard was the boy’s father or someone who cared about Elliot.

As Richard’s manner was casual and looked relaxed, Song Lei had no idea that the person he was fighting right now was Elliot’s birth father. The man would never have expected that Richard was trying so hard to restrain himself from killing Elliot’s assailant outright.
