Chapter 220: Another bonus, setting off

Upon hearing Evale's quick rejection, Myropsis turned to Eldrian, "He will, in this case even if everyone dies the resources won't be lost."

"But what if I die first, then they will be without it." Eldrian quickly countered, not wishing to take the hot potato either. Tens of thousands of gold coins was simply a mind-boggling amount to him. The current exchange rate for coins had come to 1 silver per dollar, slightly cheaper than at the start but still quite an amount.

Most players actually felt it would rise again, it had degraded a great deal thanks to the efforts of the empires. With players no longer needing to gather their own weapons, no longer needing to pay to learn basic spells, the need for coins had depreciated a lot. The only reason it was actually still so strong was because of how rare coins still were.

Though with time it will become more valuable again, while also becoming more available. Thus the future of the exchange rate wasn't really easy to determine. Still, even at this low rate the storage they wanted Eldrian to take was worth over a million dollars. He really did not want to take it, he feared he would be tempted to try and sell it.

He knew he wouldn't really do this, but the temptation was really strong. The amount of money was simply too much for him to ignore. The thought of only taking a crystal or two quickly jumped into his head.

"Yes you might die first, but in that case you can go to the fort. There everyone should meet up should a major battle happen. Doing so will allow everyone to get back together, and also to take note of the damages. So you dying won't cost them much in this case, just some time. Yet it will have safeguarded over ten thousand gold coins." Myropsis explained slowly.

"Still, where the hell did you get all this!" Eldrian suddenly countered in another direction.

"From the king. This mission is too important, as we have said before. We also don't want any of the others to know of this part. The worth of this dimensional storage far outmatches that of most of their rewards. While it is only around twice or thrice a single person's reward, it is much easier to take." Myropsis said without missing a beat.

"Why didn't you just order a Magic Crystal then?" Eldrian asked not understanding why she had struggled so much to organize that. If she could talk to the king, then certainly she must be able to that much.

"It isn't the same. Doing something for yourself, versus doing something for the kingdom. Naturally the latter is much more acceptable, much easier to get approved and budgeted. People will even offer their support in the name of the kingdom, that does not happen when it is just for me." Myropsis replied, slightly sad that her position in her family was actually so low.

The only reason she was still kept in the loop and accepted in formal occasions was due to her strength, something the family couldn't afford to lose. Even so, she knew that they didn't like having her home, hence why she left as far as she could. To not bother them, and instead live her life as she wished.

"Fine..." Eldrian accepted with a grunt, taking the dimensional storage from Myropsis. It was in the form of a bracelet, the dark purple gem cut out and curving along with the metal. Eldrian quickly connected himself to it and looked inside, it wasn't as big as his own inventory. Only around 2 cubic meters, slightly less.

This space was mostly filled with books, Eldrian quickly realized that there were plenty of magic books inside. Looking at Myropsis he saw her wink at him, So she added these too. Smart, and this makes this even more worth it for me. Eldrian quickly started checking the covers of the books. Most of them were actually on a single spell, where the spell was taken from Tier 1 up to much higher levels. Floga, or rather a similar spell, he quickly recognized on one of the books.

"But should I just keep it on me? That doesn't seem all that smart, and my inventory is too full at the moment to just empty this one." Eldrian asked as he quickly tried to figure out how he could solve this.

"Maybe keep the crystals in your inventory, as that would be safer," Myropsis said, Eldrian quickly pulling some out. Just as he wanted to insert it into his inventory he got a message.

[Mov Crystal detected, do you wish to absorbed the crystal to increase the size of your dimensional storage?]

Wait, what? Eldrian was quite intrigued by this option, "What are the Mov Crystals for?" Eldrian asked instead.

"To build advanced arrays." Pelaros replied with a curious look, "Why?"

"Seems I can use them to increase my storage space. If I were to use one or two then I might be able to fit everything inside my storage." Eldrian quickly replied.

"No, that won't work. That might lead to you all not having enough crystals when you need it most." Pelaros quickly rejected this offer, "Why don't you just move the extra things from your inventory into the bracelet, and then keep the valuables in your inventory. Later, after the mission, if things went well you can use the leftover crystals."

"Pelaros, are you sure about that?" Myropsis quickly questioned, not willing to make the same deal. Each Mov Crystal inside that bracelet was worth nearly a thousand gold. They were not weak defective Mov Crystals, but rather some of the strongest and best quality ones.

"Sure, we can just say they were needed for the mission. Haru holding onto them already increases the chances of them returning to a hundred percent, so I feel it is fair for him to take a little for this increase."

"But you aren't promising just a little!" Myropsis quickly countered.

"Right, I am promising that thanks to his safeguard he gets to use what isn't needed. Seems fair, since without him this safeguard would not be possible." Pelaros quickly countered again, Myropsis giving, she didn't really dislike this option.

She just knew that it might lead to questions if it was found that an array wasn't even needed. Eldrian quickly thanked Pelaros and started to move everything over, quite happy with the deal he just struck for him.

In the end, Eldrian kept all the spare food and water inside the bracelet, along with some of the crappier weapons he had still lying around in his inventory. This left both dimensional spaces around half-filled, and Eldrian quickly wanted to stuff more food into the bracelet for incase.

He did this, while Evale started organizing everyone, Eldrian returning ten minutes later as everyone finally started listening. Some of the rougher adventurers didn't just want to take Pelaros's words for her experience, incited by the nobles they quickly started giving her trouble.

None of them had been able to say a word after she decided to act, as they were still talking nonsense she had acted. Using an agility boosting skill, along with her experience in fighting, she moved so fast that all of those making trouble doubled over in pain without even knowing what had happened. The nobles instigating this were not left out, she had made sure to give them an extra hard hit. Using almost all her strength, leaving them all blue in the face as they struggled to breathe.

Seeing this none of them dared stir any trouble again, they all realized that even five of them might not be able to take her down. Yet she hadn't even taken out her weapons, leaving them shocked at the distance between new Tier 7's, and one who had been at that level for years.

With this all set they were ready to go, and they did. Eldrian climbed onto his horse, an eight-legged steed, called an Agima; All of the non-centaurs were given one to help them keep up and make the travel quicker.

Agima was a demonic variant of horses, but not as a monster, rather as a magical beast. A classification for all none evil creatures of animal variation, Alicorns and Unicorns also being in this classification.

The Agima were not intelligent enough to talk, but they could use a few skills and abilities, along with following commands and making their own decisions for survival. They were amazing steeds and regularly used in the army of Taurus. The Agima given to them were fully armored, but their armor was only normal grade armor. The armor was more for show, as they wouldn't go into the forest with the party. They were only to get them there in less than a day's travel.

Around an hour after setting out Evules asked Eldrian in curiosity, "Don't you have any armor?"

Looking around Eldrian quickly realized he was the only one who hadn't changed. It seemed that at least half the people in this group had some sort of dimensional storage. Those without one had backpacks with them, all of them had equipped themselves before leaving the city outer walls. Eldrian was the only one still in his clothes.

"Ah... Yeah, I actually don't have any." Eldrian admitted a bit embarrassed. The armor he had last used was quickly destroyed, he definitely didn't want to waste the little money he had on another set. Especially when it was so easy to lose in combat.

He had accepted that if he couldn't dodge, then he would die. This would be the case in most cases even if he had some normal grade armor. Only magic-grade armor would actually be worth it in Eldrian's eyes.

Evules looked at Eldrian in disbelief upon hearing his admittance. "You have to be joking. How can you not have any armor?"
