CH 60

[Aerial Battle]

“Kuee!!”

Dimol flaps his wings, getting above of the Small Cloud Whale.

Below my view, the Small Cloud Whale cladded in black-dyed cloud began to discharge smoke containing poisonous and paralyzing components from its body.

“Dimol, don’t inhale that smoke. You’ll be hurt and be paralyzed at worst.”

“Kuee!”

As if understanding what I said, Dimol flew at a certain distance from the Small Cloud Whale.

Now then, first, I have to do something about that smoke.

Should I try to imitate the way Noelia used wind magic to blow poisonous fog in the battle against Cerberus?

“Dayle, can you blow the smoke using Gale Wind?”

[Understood! ■▲〇※■▲〇※!]

The wind of the Gale Wind that Dayle activated blows away the smoke generated by the Small Cloud Whale.

However, the amount that was blown off was insignificant compared to the overwhelming amount of the smoke.

As expected, that much smoke wouldn’t be blown away with just a Gale Wind.

The Small Cloud Whale whose smoke was blown moved its large body agilely, and when it rose to the surface, it swung its tail up at Dimol who I was riding.

“Kueee!”

Before the tail of the Small Cloud Whale reach Dimol, Dimol avoided it at the last moment, brushing against it.

He showed an agile movement despite his large body.

The Small Cloud Whale spewed a large amount of black smoke from the hole on the top of its head as a follow up attack, robbing our sight.

Just like the one from its body, the smoke covering our view contained poisonous and paralyzing components.

I immediately chant a magic to blow off the smoke that covered us.

“Dimol, the air will be turbulent for a while, so fly firmly.”

“Kuee!”

When I told Dimol – who even though was deprived of his sight and was inhaling the smoke mixed with poisonous and paralyzing composition, was still flying calmly without being disturbed – that I would release magic, he replied cheerfully.

“O’ drifting air. Condense, and unleash at the place I point out! Aerial Broken(Eariaruburoken)”

When the chant was completed, the space I pointed out with the tip of the sword begins to fluctuate.

The air within a certain range moves at high speed, condensed at the place I pointed. The air then unleashed at once, blowing away the surroundings with explosive momentum.

Like a torrent, the poured-out air blows away the black smoke that covered the surroundings.

As expected, the range and effect of the magic is higher than that of Gale Wind, so the surrounding smoke cleared up at once.

“Kuee!”

[Wawawa! We’re swaying! Dimol-chan, do your best!]

“Sorry, the scope was a little too big.”

Facing the overflowing wind, Dimol swayed up and down, having a hard time stabilizing himself.

However, because the smoke that covered the surrounding had been lifted, our view became clear.

“But I’ll cast another one. When I release the magic, breakaway from it immediately.”

“Kuee!”

[Dayle will also shoots a Gale Wind!]

Having understood my intention without me saying anything, Dayle immediately chime in her support.

“I’ll leave it to you. O’ drifting air. Condense, and unleash at the place I point out! Aerial Broken.”

Dimol already took a certain distance by the time the chant was finished; this time, I release the Aerial Broken toward the body of the Small Cloud Whale.

With the addition of Dayle’s Gale Wind, an overwhelming windstorm was created, tearing apart the clouds around the body of the Small Cloud Whale.

[It works. White smoke is gushing out from the torn parts!]

Having a part of its body torn by the windstorm, the Small Cloud Whale got angry, it tried to knock us down using its tail fin and chest fin skillfully.

Every time the fins passed near Dimol, a tremendous wind-cutting sound can be heard.

Cloud Whales are creatures that clad themselves in high-density clouds, their true body is not that large.

However, even thought what they clad themselves in is cloud, it is dense, so if you are hit, you will take more damage than being hit by a heavy blunt object.

It was a troublesome opponent that will rammed into the rearguard adventurers, who shoots arrows or magic, from the sky even if you fight it from the ground, but it was also a troublesome opponent even in aerial battle after all.

“Don’t let your guard down. It’s poisonous and paralyzing some was already blown away, so it’ll come closer to bring us down.”

“Kuee!”

[Roger! Meal time!]

The moment Dimol evades the attack of the Small Cloud Whale and flies to its back—

I jumped down towards that back.

“Alright, landing success! Dayle, let’s go!”

I tightened my grip on Dayle, chant all the body enhancing magic at once, activating them, and get into battle stance.

[Understood. ■▲〇※■▲〇※!]

At the same time, Dayle also activated Spell Sword, cladding its blade in flames.

A shark-like creature appeared underneath us who descended on the back of the Small Cloud Whale.
