However, Caroline knew that this was Edwin’s room because there was a familiar smell in the air. It was a faint smell of medicine mixed with a faint smell of pine wood. It was a strange but harmonious smell that made one feel at ease.
Caroline wasn’t tired, so she took out her phone and sat on the sofa to pass the time.
Joline told her to come up and rest. She probably had to deal with what happened in the house today and get rid of any hidden dangers.
Although Caroline had already agreed to Edwin’s proposal, she was still a guest at the moment, so it wasn’t good to let her see this side of her.
