Chapter 100 - They Are Twins

Then, her phone rang.

It was Chen Meng.

“Aunt Chen?” Mo Rao was a little shocked.

“Come to the hospital for a checkup.” Chen Meng went straight to the point.

Mo Rao was stunned. “What…”

“No matter what your future plans are, the child is in your stomach now. He’s a life. As a doctor, I have to be responsible for him, so come quickly. I’ll cover for you. No one will discover that you’re here for a checkup.” Chen Meng urged.

Mo Rao replied weakly, “Okay, I’ll be right there.”

After tidying up, Mo Rao took a taxi to the hospital. She was still wearing a hat and mask.

Chen Meng was already prepared. As soon as Mo Rao arrived, she immediately did a checkup.

After the examination, Chen Meng held the pile of examination reports with an ugly expression.

“Aunt Chen, what’s wrong… Is there a problem with me…” Mo Rao was frightened by Chen Meng’s expression and asked carefully.

She had been inexplicably thin recently. She even suspected that she had contracted some terminal illness.

Chen Meng slammed the table angrily. “Do you know that you’re pregnant? You actually made yourself seriously malnourished. Do you know that your anemia is very serious?!”

Mo Rao was like a child who had made a mistake as she explained softly, “Aunt Chen, I have three meals a day…”

“Then were you in a good mood? A pregnant woman’s mood is very important.” Chen Meng was a little disappointed. “I often see Fu Ying accompanying a woman called Qu Ru in the hospital.”

She was the doctor here. It was easy to find out Qu Ru’s name.

Mo Rao’s expression stiffened. “Aunt Chen, it’s okay. The matter will pass quickly…”

“Are you prepared to endure it?” Chen Meng asked solemnly.

“No, I won’t endure it.” Mo Rao shook her head. “I’ve agreed with Fu Ying to give him a month. If he can handle it to my satisfaction, we’ll continue our marriage. If not, we’ll get a divorce, but there shouldn’t be a need now.”

She could already confirm that Fu Ying could not resolve the matter between him and Qu Ru.

Chen Meng nodded. “End it quickly. You’re pregnant. It’s not good for you and the child if this continues.”

Mo Rao understood. “I know.”

After looking at the checklist again, Chen Mengyu said to Mo Rao sincerely, “Rao Rao, you’re pregnant with twins.”

“What?” Mo Rao looked at Chen Meng in shock.

“I said you’re pregnant with twins,” Chen Meng repeated.

Mo Rao was completely stunned.

Chen Meng continued, “Rao Rao, if you get a divorce, it will be very tiring to take care of children singlehandedly. Do you know how hard it is to take care of two children?”

After Mo Rao reacted, the shock in her eyes turned to determination. “I know. I can accept it. No matter how many children there are, as long as they are my children, I will never give up on them. I will work hard to raise them!”

She would not give up her children.

They were her flesh. How could she bear to give up on them?

Chen Meng sighed. “Sigh, then listen to me and replenish your nutrition. Sleep well and pay attention to your emotions.”

“Okay, I will, Aunt Chen.” Mo Rao nodded vigorously.

Chen Meng was like Mo Rao’s elder. Mo Rao did not dare to disobey her.

“Rao Rao, I know you’re pregnant and also have to hide it from the Fu family, so things are very difficult for you. Although they treat you very well, pregnant women need special care. They don’t know your situation, so they naturally don’t have that much preparation. This is the soup I made for you. Drink it while it’s warm.” Chen Meng took out a thermos.

Inside, there was the soup she had made herself.

Mo Rao was shocked. “Aunt Chen… this…”

“In the future, come to my house once or twice a week. I’ll make soup for you and make some food tailored to pregnant women.” Chen Meng looked at Mo Rao’s thin face and felt her heart ache. “If you continue like this, your body won’t be able to take it. The children will also suffer.”

Mo Rao was very touched. She nodded and opened the thermos cup to finish the hot soup.

Seeing that the soup was finished, Chen Meng smiled. “Good child.”

Mo Rao wiped the corner of her mouth and asked obediently, “Aunt Chen, shall I leave now?”

“Go!” Chen Meng became serious again and waved her hand to chase her away.

Mo Rao stuck out her tongue and quickly left. She went to the inpatient department to visit Lin Qun.

Lin Qun had yet to wake up, and the person who had hurt him had yet to be caught. Mo Rao only felt heartache and guilt.

She had a vague feeling that this matter might just be left unsettled.

It was because Fu Ying had intervened.

This was too unfair to Lin Qun!
