C41 – How Things Became Like This

That night, after Liu Yuan finished his cultivation, he let out a long breath.

No wonder the Upper Clarity Heaven-Calming Treasure Book of Jade Void Sect was considered the number one Taoist canon. It was truly difficult to comprehend. Fortunately, he transmigrated here and was able to understand the meaning of it through visualization.

If he had the comprehension attribute, he would have achieved even more by now.

“Alas, now I just hope I can find a suitable weapon. Then I’ll be invincible in the Novice Village.”

Liu Yuan stretched his body as he sighed. He looked at the iron sword beside him and then thought of the Flying Star Sword in the storage bag.

The Flying Star Sword was almost useless.

Unfortunately, the skill Liu Yuan had used to deal with the Heavenly Devil, known as Skywolf in the North, was specially designed for heavy crossbows. It was quite deadly to enemies, but at the same time, it would cause great damage to the weapon.

The sword had sustained too much pressure, and as a result, though not twisted, it had a lot of cracks on it.

Liu Yuan wondered for how long it could still be of use.

It would probably be broken completely soon.

He thought he might as well perform the skill again next time and use the sword to its fullest potential.

He walked to the table and poured himself a cup of tea. He then activated his senses and found Ning Xiangrong next door was still awake and that she was not training.

She was probably waiting for him to go over.

Liu Yuan took a sip of the tea.

He took another sip.

But no matter how much he drank, his lips and throat were still dry.

He was not thirsty at all; he was nervous!

“Who am I kidding? I am a genius player! How could I be nervous? Ha!”

Liu Yuan slammed the cup on the table and thought to himself with a serious look, “No. I’ve always been a playboy in Ning Xiangrong’s eyes. Now that she has made the first move, how can I back off? This doesn’t make sense.”

He stood up and went for the door, but the second his hand landed on the bolt, he paused.

“What if I go there and fail to do anything well? Wouldn’t that make things even worse? I have been single for 19 years and I am a complete newbie for that matter. What if some accident happens?” he muttered, taking a few steps back.

He was in a dilemma. After hesitating for a long time, he gritted his teeth and finally made a decision.

Creak. He pushed the door open.

He walked next door and opened the door to Ning Xiangrong’s room.

Inside, Ning Xiangrong was sitting on a stool beside the table. When she saw Liu Yuan coming in, panting (due to his mental struggle just now), she lowered her head to avoid his gaze as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.

But still, she stood up and walked towards Liu Yuan with her fists clenched. She said softly, “Yuan…”

Liu Yuan stared at her blankly. He then closed the door behind him and bolted it.

Ning Xiangrong was only wearing a thin, white shirt, which set off her perfect figure; her long black hair was hanging loose like a waterfall, and her fair and beautiful face was flawless.

Her beautiful eyes were looking down, and her cheeks were rosy; she was biting her red lower lip while rubbing her fingers anxiously as she walked towards Liu Yuan.

Even if she wanted this to happen, deep down she was still very nervous.

After all, she was a woman…

Liu Yuan’s heart melted. He knew that keeping avoiding her was no use. On the contrary, it would only worry him even more.

After all, he had a handful of lady friends in the game. What if he met them one day? It’d be embarrassing if he told them he was afraid of having physical contact.

Moreover, Ning Xiangrong already had the maximum favorability points toward him anyway. They both knew what should happen next.

“Phew…”

Liu Yuan adjusted his breathing and felt that he really should change his mindset.

He should not be scared, but rather enjoy what was about to happen.

Yes, enjoy it.

Now that such a charming woman had devoted her heart and soul to him, what was he waiting for?

Liu Yuan pulled Ning Xiangrong close into his arms.

It was the first time that Liu Yuan had taken the initiative to hug her, and Ning Xiangrong responded to the hug enthusiastically. She raised her head, closed her loving eyes and pressed her lips onto Liu Yuan’s.

Liu Yuan widened his eyes in surprise. He did not expect her to be so forward.

But it also made sense, given that Ning Xiangrong had been waiting for three long years for her lover.

“Hmm…”

Liu Yuan hugged Ning Xiangrong even more tightly. She moaned softly as she stepped back and hit the corner of the table. The two of them both fell against the table.

Ning Xiangrong clung to Liu Yuan’s shirt with one hand and propped her other hand on the edge of the table behind her, grabbing the table cloth.

Her room was much more luxurious than Liu Yuan’s. After all, it was for the female guests from an immortal sect. The table was covered with a brocade cloth, very pleasing to the eye.

At this moment, the vibe in the room was very romantic and sensual.

Liu Yuan was immersed in the kind of intimacy that he had never experienced before.

Suddenly, someone was knocking on the door, interrupting the two of them.

Liu Yuan opened his eyes and met Ning Xiangrong’s gaze. They had no idea who it could be at this hour.

“Are you in, Sister Ning? I want to talk to you about something.” It was Gu Siyin.

The couple inside didn’t make a sound.

Gu Siyin knocked again.

She frowned as she muttered, “It is not late yet. Why, do those cultivators go to bed so early? This is the right room, isn’t it? Hmm… that’s strange.”

She hesitated for a moment, then looked towards Liu Yuan’s room. “Alright, then I’ll go find Brother Junxuan first…”

Creak —

The door opened.

Gu Siyin blinked her eyes, turned around and saw Ning Xiangrong, who was only wearing a shirt.

“Sister Ning, what takes you so long to answer the door?”

Ning Xiangrong made up an excuse, “I was focused on cultivating just now, so I didn’t hear you knocking on the door. I’m really sorry.”

“That’s alright.” Gu Siyin shook her head and her gaze landed on Ning Xiangrong’s face.

Why was Sister Ning’s face so red? Why were her lips swollen and her clothes a bit messy? And why was she out of her breath?

Perhaps she reached a bottleneck in her cultivation, so she needed to put in extra efforts. Siyin thought to herself.

She then asked, “May I go in?”

Ning Xiangrong nodded, “Of course.”

Gu Siyin sniffled, secretly feeling a bit jealous of Ning Xiangrong’s figure. After thanking her, Gu Siyin stepped into the room.

The room was neatly decorated.

Gu Siyin walked over and sat on the stool. She hesitated for a while before saying, “Sister Ning, I’m here because of Brother Junxuan.”

Ning Xiangrong also walked over and sat down. Her gaze shifted somewhere under the table.

There, Liu Yuan was crouching and holding his breath.

He didn’t dare to make a sound.

Although he could tread on air, he could not teleport.

He began to wonder how things became like this for him.
