CH 27

Both of them looked at each other for a while. Jiang Zhan looked at Jiang Li’s pants that were hanging halfway down his butt, he could only feel his nerves on his forehead pounding, while the person who started it held the imitated fox tail and waved it towards him.

“Don’t just stand there!” Jiang Li shouted towards him. Throwing the tail towards him he said, “Come and help me, it’s hard for me at this angle.”

Jiang Zhan caught the tail reflexively. He took two steps towards Jiang Li, lowered his head, and looked at him. He purposely avoided looking at his lower half and fixed his eyes on him. He said with difficulty, “Are you complaining that your waist is not in enough pain?”

When they did it till the end last night, Jiang Li even hugged him as he cried and said his waist was breaking so he didn’t want to do it anymore. Then tonight he came with the same method and acted recklessly.

Jiang Li raised his head and looked at him innocently, just like Jiang Nuomi usually did when it did something wrong, “I’m scared that you’re angry, I just wanna please you~”

“… Am I such a beast in your eyes?” Another line of vein popped out at his temple.

“No… “

Jiang Zhan heard him denying it and felt a bit better. He stretched out his hands wanting to pull him up, until he heard him murmuring, “You don’t even react when I’m this naked, you’re no better than a beast.”

“…”

“Jiang Li…” Jiang Zhan gritted his teeth and called him. He threw the tail that was in his hand onto the floor. As he was about to go into a rage, his gaze reached the smile and slyness in Jiang Li’s eyes unintentionally and suddenly realized something. He hmphed heavily and walked away.

“Wait for me ah~” Jiang Li used one of his hands to pull up his pants and chased after him swiftly. He hugged him from behind, “I’m just joking with you, don’t be angry.”

Both of them did it crazily for half of the night last night, Jiang Zhan had even helped him to put ointment on afterwards. He also had a shooting in the afternoon, so he knew Jiang Zhan wouldn’t do anything to him.

With that hug his pants slid down again, hanging onto his butt, on the verge of sliding down completely. He even accidentally made Jiang Zhan’s towel which was wrapped around his waist fall onto the floor.

“Jiang! Li!”

“I-I-I-I I’ll help you to wrap back up!!”

Jiang Li bent his waist to pick up the towel that was dropped onto the floor, causing his pants to drop as well, a pair of smooth and white thighs were then exposed just like that in front of Jiang Zhan.

Both of them looked at each other for a while. Jiang Zhan picked up the towel with a stormy expression and wrapped it around his waist himself.

Jiang Li pulled up his pants and went to the cloak room to help Jiang Zhan take out his underwear and pyjamas while also trying to stop himself from laughing. After he finished putting on his clothes, Jiang Li poured a glass of water and placed it beside him. He then raised up his hand, “I request a 15-minute period of time to explain, please agree to it, boss.”

After half a night of commotion, Jiang Zhan felt that the flame in his heart had disappeared a little. He took the water and drank a gulp. He then sat down beside him, showing that he had agreed to Jiang Li’s request.

While Jiang Zhan was bathing earlier Jiang Li had organized the memories of Zhang Ziyang and the original host. He had thought of how to best communicate with Jiang Zhan, the fox costume was just a bridge for him to use to calm down the atmosphere. He knew Jiang Zhan wouldn’t be willing to touch him due to his waist.

The original host’s father had passed away when he was six, so there was only Mother Liu left in the house. In his early years, Mother Liu had worked in a firework factory located in town. She earned for the family and she provided the fees for the original host to attend school in the village.

The original host had looked pretty since young. He was always the most eye-catching child among the mud children in school. However, due to his soft personality and the fact that he came from a single parent family, he was always bullied by the other children. As time passed he only became weaker and more timid.

Although Zhang Ziyang and the original host were from the same village, and went to the same primary school and middle school, he had only noticed the original host after his looks matured during high school. He had also, by chance, saved the original host from senior bullies.

The original host had a soft and weak personality, so he didn’t dare to tell Mother Liu that he was being bullied in school. He was scared that his mother would be worried, so he bore  with it silently. Also, as he had always been excluded from the students ever since he was young, he didn’t dare try to form relationships with others on his own. His childhood was too lonely and helpless and Zhang Ziyang’s help was like an open door to his heart.

After that, other than his mother and academic studies, Zhang Ziyang was also added to his life. The main reason that he went to University S was because he wanted to be in the same city as Zhang Ziyang.

The original host had really placed Zhang Ziyang in his heart. He wasn’t a person who had no opinion of his own, he had just forgotten to think about himself first after placing Zhang Ziyang as the top priority for so long.

While Jiang Li was telling Jiang Zhan about the past, an ache that could not be ignored could be felt in Jiang Li’s heart, a weak cry could be heard from the deepest, darkest part of his soul.

It was the other Jiang Li crying.

Jiang Li placed his hand on his chest and sighed lightly.

Jiang Zhan heard his sigh and misunderstood it as him being unwilling to let go of Zhang Ziyang. His hand slowly clutched into a fist and he said stiffly, “What a touching past, that’s why you were willing to use your body to trade for him.”

Jiang Li heard his words filled with sourness and knew he had misunderstood something. He laughed lightly and shook his head.

Jiang Zhan saw his expression, “Why are you laughing?”

Jiang Li stood up from the chair and walked towards him. He bent his waist slightly and looked into his eyes, “It’s not that I’m unwilling to let him go. The reason that I’m telling you all this today is because I wanna let you know that everything is already in the past. The Jiang Li standing in front of you now is a new Jiang Li.”

“Jiang Zhan.” Jiang Li called his name out lightly, his eyes were filled with a seriousness that had not been seen for anything other than acting since he came to this world, “Everyone has their own past. I’m not a saint, so I have one too. But everything happened before I knew you. I wish you wouldn’t see my past, and instead look at the present me.”

Even though that past belonged to the original Jiang Li and he hadn’t faced it directly before today, he was still borrowing his body so it meant becoming a part of him. No matter what, those events had truly happened.

The house fell into silence. They looked at each other, not talking.

After a long while, Jiang Zhan lifted his arms and hugged Jiang Li who was bending his waist and looking at him. His action was gentle, as if he was treating him like an expensive treasure.

Jiang Li stayed in his embrace and didn’t move. He heard a low tone coming from the top of his head, it sounded like a sigh and an admonishment.

“Nobody is deserving of you to use your body to make an exchange.”

He stopped for a while, and said, “Including me.”

Jiang Li froze at his words, his heart felt as if something had burned it. Next, he could feel something boiling like lava and flowing out from his heart. He could also hear his heart pounding like drums in his ears.

At this moment he understood. The reason why Jiang Zhan was so angry wasn’t because of Zhang Ziyang, but because he didn’t appreciate himself more.

Once Jiang Li thought of this, the edges of his lips gradually raised up. He stretched out both of his arms and hugged him back slowly. The affection that was suppressed in the depths of his heart all along flowed out like waves, engulfing him from the inside out.

Jiang Zhan, how lucky I am to be able to meet you in this life.
