CH 32

“It’s Land…!”

“Hey! What’s up with that girl next to him!? She’s so damn cute!”

“By the way, has the dog he was with earlier gotten bigger…?”

“I heard that even a Minotaur was with him the other day!”

As soon as I stepped into the guild, everyone’s attention was drawn to me.

“He’s now popular.”

“No, he’s just standing out in a bad way…”

I headed for the reception. Even on the way there, the voices wouldn’t stop.

“Still, that girl next to him is really cute.”

“Maybe that’s why he rejected Meiru and Quella.”

“I heard that they abandoned Land in a dungeon and ran away.”

“Those guys are idiots. I’ve always thought Land was the best.”

“Yeah, yeah… until recently you were all ‘Fade this and Fade that’ and making a fuss.”

While hearing various vocal remarks at my back, I finally reached the counter.

“Ah! Land-san! And… Who is this pretty lady?”

“Fufun. I have my charms. Would you like to be my subordinate?”

“Eh… I don’t believe it…”

Nina-san looked at me.

The place I went to, Milim’s words and behavior just now, if Nina-san thought about it, she will get her answer easily.

“She didn’t seem like a bad person, so I brought her along.”

“Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute!”

Nina-san ran quickly into the back.

“I guess you’re even more noticeable than I thought.”

“Rather, your reaction was strange.”

“Right…”

I didn’t know what kind of existence Milim was for the guild, but at least it wasn’t a case of no questions asked.

“Ah! I’m sorry but both of you please come this way.”

In the end, we were invited to the reception room in the back of the counter.

In a sense, this was also a status for adventurers. Being called to this room meant that one was a trustworthy existence who gets to go on special missions for the guild, or has privileges such as being a national war force class, A-rank or S-rank.

So again, I received envious glances on my back, but the two of us headed towards the reception room.

“This way.”

“Ah… What? Gihren?! ”

“Long time no see, Land.”

The one waiting in the reception room was the Guild Master, Gihren. He had a large, well-trained body and a scarred face. Anyone could tell at a glance that he was not an ordinary person.

“Well, first of all, let me apologize. If I had been more careful, you wouldn’t have been in danger. I’m sorry.”

He lowered his head as soon as we met.
