CH 67

Chapter 67

It was a name that even made me feel nostalgic.

Looking back, it was also the place where I could say I started from.

“The boss on the 8th floor is a Dragon Zombie, so we can handle it.”

“I don’t really want to fight a Dragon Zombie anymore though…”

“You should change your way of thinking. Prepare to fight a Dragon Zombie again without getting hurt. Otherwise, you’ll be at the mercy of opponents stronger than that.”

“I just want to live in peace…”

“It’s impossible.”

She stated it with certainty.

‘Why…?’

But well, the truth was, being with Milim, encounters with opponents stronger than that weren’t entirely impossible.

“If you can reach the 8th floor of that dungeon, you won’t have to worry about weapons.”

“So, is that our next destination…?”

It wouldn’t hurt to be prepared… That’s probably what it meant.

Even at the 5th floor, the equipment was of god-tier quality, so there was definitely some excitement for what lay ahead.

But going there required a certain level of resolve…

“If you’re thinking of going to the dungeon, it’s best to gather what you can prepare now. Rather, what you have is just clothes, not equipment…”

“Aren’t all clothes just pieces of cloth…?”

“For what purpose were you gathering materials…? Most weapons and armor are imbued with magical protection by incorporating materials from monsters. You were just wearing pieces of cloth at the guild.”

“Uh, yeah…”

So that was it.

Well, when it came to buying equipment, I was just in charge of carrying the luggage, so I left everything to Fade… I thought I had at least something on me though…

“Let’s start by putting that in order.”

“If you’re going to gather armor, it’s better to head to the town of Araid.”

I was just following them, but since Fade and the others always did their equipment shopping there, I thought it would be a good place to go.

“I don’t know about that, but shall we go?”

It would normally take three days on foot, but we had a stable means of transportation now.

“Can you do it, Earl?”

“Kyuu!”

When I stroked Earl, he gave a dignified response and closed his eyes, looking comfortable.

Then, Rei pushed his head against me, asking to be petted, so I obliged.

“Don’t hold back in this situation anymore.”

When I lightly patted Ace, who had a face that seemed to want something, he became satisfied.
