C18 – What If Meeting a Lecher on the Road?

After finishing breakfast, Tang Yue approached the housekeeper with a map, requesting his assistance in locating a craftsman to make certain items.

The housekeeper was astonished by the map that Tang Yue had presented to him. He had never seen anything like it before and was unsure of where the young master had acquired such knowledge.

In addition, Tang Yue’s method of drawing was vastly different from the contemporary era, including detailed markings indicating the length, thickness, and curvature of various tools. Fortunately, he was aware of how to convert these measurements into simpler units. Otherwise, if he had provided measurements in centimeters or millimeters, it would have confounded the craftsmen.

“Can these tools be made?” Tang Yue asked anxiously, knowing that his survival depended on them.

“Although I have never encountered these tools before, they seem relatively straightforward to construct. I will consult with the blacksmith, but the final products may not be as detailed as your specifications,” replied the housekeeper.

Tang Yue had sketched a vast array of tools, including scalpels, scissors, forceps, and sewing needles of varying sizes and types. He had even unraveled the threads from his clothing to create a detailed illustration of a piece of cloth.

Upon hearing the butler’s affirmation, Tang Yue felt a surge of hope and a content smile formed on his lips. “In that case, please proceed.”

Politeness was a virtue that everyone appreciated, including the butler. Tang Yue’s ability to treat his servants with respect was truly impressive, especially since he was the future master of Yueyang Marquis’s Mansion.

“Young master just needs to wait for the good news,” said the housekeeper as he began to search for the best blacksmith in the house. If none were available, he would venture out to find one. They could always create a solution.

Tang Yue was in high spirits after solving a major problem. Coincidentally, he received an invitation to hang out with Tang Ya. He volunteered to escort her there.

Since arriving in Ye City, he had not ventured outside. He wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the area. In order to fully integrate into society, he needed to avoid being too isolated.

He was aware that his behavior and mannerisms were peculiar to others. Fortunately, he grew up in the rural areas of North Yue, which somewhat explained his actions.

After changing into a blue outfit and re-doing his hair, Tang Yue felt like he was dressed up for a modern-day historical drama. He appeared to be a noble young master!

Women always took a while to get ready, so Tang Yue waited outside for thirty minutes before he saw Tang Ya and Tang Wan exit while holding hands. He was taken aback and asked, “What are you doing here?”

Tang Yue’s eyes were filled with admiration as he gazed upon Tang Ya, who looked stunning in her bright red dress. Her inherent flamboyance only added to her allure, making her a sight to behold.

Standing beside her, Tang Wan, who had yet to fully develop her features, wore a bright red dress that made her look like a blooming peach blossom. She was undeniably pretty and cute.

Tang Yue made a charming “Please” gesture and replied with a smile, “Of course I’m here to be your chaperone. Both of my sisters are as lovely as flowers, and I wouldn’t want any unsavory characters to bother you on the way.”

Tang Ya looked at him up and down, slightly surprised. “You’re the one taking us there?” In all of the aristocratic families in Ye City, it was unheard of for a brother or older sibling to personally escort his sisters to an appointment.

Despite this, Tang Ya found herself drawn to him. Though his social status may have been lacking, he was still the future head of the family, and it wouldn’t hurt to have him accompany them.

She felt a sense of duty to contribute to the family, especially while she was still unmarried.

Completely unaware of his sister’s thoughts, Tang Yue responded, “Of course. It’s only natural for an older brother to look after his younger sisters.”

Tang Yue assisted the two of them in getting onto the carriage. He had intended to sit next to the driver, but Tang Ya pulled him inside and rolled her eyes playfully.

Tang Yue chuckled and sat silently across from them, admiring the passing scenery through the gauzy curtains.

After some time had passed, Tang Ya suddenly spoke up, “The host of today’s banquet is County Princess Huizhu. She has invited both male and female guests. I’ll introduce you to everyone when we arrive. Just make sure you don’t embarrass Marquis’s Mansion.”

This revelation surprised Tang Yue, but he quickly grinned and pinched Tang Ya’s cheek affectionately. He said, “Don’t worry, I won’t let you down.”

He couldn’t help but marvel at how soft her skin felt. Tang Yue felt like a dirty old man.

“You…” The Tang sisters stared at Tang Yue in bewilderment. Even Tang Ya’s cheeks reddened slightly as she glared at him in annoyance.

Tang Wan chuckled, finding her older brother more and more amusing. In the past, they had been mocked for their family’s changing fortunes whenever they went out. But now, she had an older brother to protect them. This feeling was truly wonderful.
