445 Counterattack
In the next moment, the Thorny Rat Sniper disappeared and reappeared beside Shen Fei as though it had teleported.
The Thorny Rat Sniper’s projectiles were vicious and swift, so Shen Fei was on high alert.
“Black Sun, Dark Spirit Intimidation!” he shouted.
The Black Sun released a dazzling golden light, forming a thin membrane around itself and Shen Fei.
The golden membrane trembled violently as the Thorny Rat Sniper struck it. Then, it rippled and turned into countless golden light particles that filled the air, preventing the Thorny Rat Sniper from escaping.
However, the Thorny Rat Sniper was like a bolt of lightning. Every attack it fired managed to hit the Black Sun dead on.

The defense of the golden membrane was very tenacious, but it only reduced the speed of the Thorny Rat Sniper slightly. Instead, the Black Sun was forced to retreat continuously. This was the most troublesome enemy beast that Shen Fei had encountered so far!
“Hehe… I want to see how long you can last.” Lear grinned ferociously. He then haughtily said, “My patience is limited. I’ll give you three seconds. If you still can’t do anything, then don’t blame me for what happens next!”
Shen Fei gritted his teeth. His face was pale and his forehead was drenched in sweat, but he still stood his ground stubbornly.
“Hahaha, the Black Sun is a piece of trash! I didn’t want the beast anymore, and you actually went and picked it up. I suppose this is what they call one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. But trash is still trash.” Lear mocked Shen Fei and his spirit beast without restraint. “Still, I still admire your courage. Not many would dare to provoke me. So, let me tell you this: Nothing is impossible for me.”
Lear then began the countdown impatiently. “Three!”
His eyes flashed with cold killing intent once again. He summoned a dagger—one of his more famous weapons—and moved in to slash at the Black Sun.

The moment the dagger touched the Black Sun, bright sparks jumped up. However, Lear felt as though the dagger had struck rock, and there was a violent rebound force.
‘Hmm? Has it always been this tough?’
Lear frowned, and his eyes filled with doubt. This dagger of his could cut through iron like mud, and its power was not something to be trifled with. However, he did not expect that even the Black Sun could not be damaged by his famous weapon!
“Hmph! It’s just a piece of scrap metal, after all. You still can’t stop me!”
Lear’s gaze hardened, and his murderous aura surged from his body, and the veins on his arm bulged. He was going to exert all his strength to tear the Black Sun apart.
“One.” He said the last word with a face full of playfulness and a hint of malice.
Boom!
However, the Black Sun suddenly trembled, and a terrifying energy swept out like a wave, immediately overwhelming Lear.
Bang! In the next instant, Lear was sent flying and he landed heavily on the ground.
This sudden turn of events caught Lear off-guard and he was stunned. “How… How is this possible?”
Lear struggled to get up. His entire face was red with incredulity. He had never expected the Black Sun to have such terrifying power!
“It’s time to end it!” Shen Fei’s figure suddenly appeared in front of Lear. At the same time, the Black Sun released a pillar of black light that was aimed at Lear.
“Argh!” Lear roared mournfully. He waved the dagger in his hand with all his might, trying to block the Black Sun’s attack. “Thorny Rat Sniper, hurry up and stop the Black Sun,” Lear ordered frantically.
Hearing Lear’s cry for help, the Thorny Rat Sniper’s body paused for a moment before it dashed toward him. By this point, the golden membrane had disappeared and it was free to run to its master.
Whoosh! The Thorny Rat Sniper turned into a black light of its own and rushed in front of Lear at an unimaginable speed. In the next moment, the Black Sun and the Thorny Rat Sniper clashed, resulting in an intense explosion.
The black light pillar released by the Black Sun was extremely domineering. Wherever it passed, it destroyed all obstacles and was unstoppable. However, Thorny Rat Sniper’s attack was even more bizarre. Its body was like a ghost—silent and unpredictable. It zipped around the battlefield rapidly, avoiding the Black Sun’s beam of light.
After that, it circled around and tried to attack the Black Sun and Shen Fei from the rear. Its phantom light tore through the air as though it could reach the other end of the realm in an instant. Shen Fei’s expression revealed his mild surprise. The black light of the Thorny Rat Sniper was only half an inch away from Shen Fei’s head, but it could not get close. The Black Sun had managed to successfully intercept the enemy’s attack and the black light exploded with terrifying energy fluctuations.
The two were in a stalemate. But soon, ripples appeared on the surface of Thorny Rat Sniper’s body as if he was under some kind of pressure. This was because the Thorny Rat Sniper could not completely resist the domineering force of the Black Sun.
“Damned useless thing!” Lear’s face darkened. He gritted his teeth and scolded his beast, “Explode that piece of trash!”
As he gave the order, the Thorny Rat Sniper’s body trembled slightly. Its eyes became bloodshot, as if he had fallen into a state of madness. The aura on its body suddenly soared and took on a more dangerous edge to it.
Not to be outdone, the Black Sun’s aura surged out and it increased its own threat level!
“Grargh!” It roared at the sky. Its body expanded several times and it became five feet tall. The Black Sun looked like an ancient demon.
In the next moment, the Black Sun was attacked by a projectile, and it trembled from the impact. Then, its aura exploded with a loud bang, turning into rolling energy fluctuations. Its main body was uninjured.
“Hehe, I’ve said it before. This measly power might be enough to deal with others, but if you want to hurt me, keep dreaming!” Lear sneered.
After the Thorny Rat Sniper went into its rage mode, its strength and combat power had doubled! The Thorny Rat Sniper’s body moved in and quickly lunged toward the Black Sun.
It clenched its fists tightly as it prepared to attack the Black Sun with its terrifying force.
Seeing this, Shen Fei frowned. “Black Sun, dodge it!” he roared.
This guy is becoming more terrifying!”
The Black Sun understood him. It let out a low cry and turned to fly back to Shen Fei. It left the Thorny Rat Sniper’s range of attack just in time.
Lear’s face was cold and furious. The power of the Black Sun was even more terrifying than before! Moreover, his attacks were becoming less effective on Shen Fei.
‘It managed to stay out of the range of attack? Preposterous! Unacceptable!’ Lear was completely enraged!
Although the Black Sun was a waste of space, it still had its merits that made it worth keeping alive for the moment.
Boom! The Thorny Rat Sniper caught up to the Black Sun again and attacked it with both fists. However, Shen Fei grabbed the Thorny Rat Sniper and threw it into his system-modified storage ring.
Then, Shen Fei turned around and regarded Lear indifferently, saying, “You should feel honored. I’ve never used this move against any other enemy before. You and your beasts will be the only exceptions.”
Hearing this, Lear could not help but laugh. With a face full of contempt, he asked, “Are you sure you can even land a hit on me?”
“What do you think?” Shen Fei laughed coldly with cold murderous eyes. “Since you’re so confident, then why don’t we give it a try.”
