Chapter 1252 - Guessed Right

Chapter 1251 – Guessed Right

“It’s good! I’ve tried Miss Tang’s food before.” Lin Yi took a piece of chicken and bit it.

Looking at the people eating her chicken, she felt that life really was quite mysterious, and she felt satisfied. She would have never imagined that Mengyao and Yushu would become her good friends! The three were the school beauties of the school, but she knew perfectly the distance between them.

She was a commoner beauty, not some big rich young Miss. If it weren’t for Lin Yi, she’d never even spoken to these two girls until graduation, let alone eat together and live in the same tent together!

After graduating, they’d go their separate ways, never interacting with each other again. In a faraway reunion, maybe after Mengyao inherited Pengzhan Industries, she’d look even more dazzling with Shu by her side. Tang Yun, on the other hand- would she age and lose her youth and beauty like her mother?

Thinking about it, her mother’s greediness was reasonable. Everyone wanted a better life. It was just that she didn’t understand these things before–she never considered them. Fortunately for her, she met Lin Yi- and this changed her life.

Perhaps, she’d be able to sit together with the Miss and Shu in that faraway reunion. Life was strange, indeed.

“Since Yun Yun and I are hosts for the charity event now, we can’t join the singing competition anymore. So if Shu and Xiaoxiao want to participate, you should go have fun.” Mengyao said.

“I’m not going if Yao Yao isn’t going,” Yushu said.

“I’m not going if Yun Yun sis isn’t going,” Xiaoxiao said.

Mengyao and Tang Yun looked at each other, speechless. All of a sudden, Mengyao felt that Tang Yun had become quite powerful? Xiaoxaio had gone to her side, and the two factions were now equal?

If a war were to happen again, it’d be a tie.

But now, the chance of this sort of war happening was getting smaller and smaller. Even if Xiaoxiao were to pass now, the three would never go back to those days of war since they were no established friends. They wouldn’t go extreme at all.

Mengyao thought about it. Was this a good thing or a bad thing? Hm… But then what did it have to do with her, she didn’t even like lin, Yi! Yes, not at all!

During the afternoon, the classes had changed to study hall, and every class sent out some of their best singers to join the competition in the field. Because it didn’t concern them, Lin Yi, Mengyao, Yushu, Tang Yun, and Xiaoxiao didn’t go and spectate, studying in their classrooms instead.

Lingshan drove to Donghai, and met Yang Huaijun in a hotel.

If it were someone else, Lingshan naturally wouldn’t meet him in someplace intimate like a hotel- if someone were to hear about this, they’d think she used her body to get her position or something. But Huaijun was different!

Everyone in the station knew that Lingshan treated him like a big brother, and Hauijun himself was really nice to her. The two were practically siblings and nothing more!

Of course, this was also because Huaijun was a just person. There were no rumors circulating him in the first place. Otherwise, who knew what the situation would be.

“Director Yang, am I interrupting?” Lingshan said happily as she saw Hauijun. It’d been only a while when she got her promotion, and it was then that Huaijun got assigned to a different place. They haven’t met since.

“Haha, Lil’ Song, we’re not at base or anything, just call me Yang Bro, what’s with the director talk?” Huaijun looked well now. After using the eastern medicine Lin Yi gave him, his injuries were all under control and a lot less painful.

“Okay, I’ll call you Yang Bro then!” Lingshan was like a good little girl in front of Huaijun. However, this was also because she only treated him as a hero. There were no complications of a male to female relationship in here!

But for some reason, Lingshan suddenly felt that Lin Yi was stronger than even the Yang Bro she admired? She felt really guilty at the thought, but she was still a normal woman… Having fallen in love with someone, she’d forgotten about her brother…

“What’s wrong? Why are you paling and blushing all of a sudden?” Huaijun looked at Lingshan oddly.

“It’s… It’s nothing…” Lingshan shook her head, shy. “I suddenly thought of someone. It’s nothing…”

“Oh? Who is that? It’s not a boyfriend, is it?” Huaijun poked.

“Wha- Of course not!” Lingshan jumped. Seriously? So this was how powerful the director was, he saw right through her?!

“Hm?” Huaijun didn’t actually mean it, but with that reaction, it seemed like he’d guessed, right? He couldn’t help but smile. “Lin Yi?”

“Ah?” Lingshan froze- thinking of the relationship between Huaijun and Lin Yi, she quickly shook her head. “Of course not…”

“Looks like I guessed right.” Huajun smiled. “We’re on the same team. There’s no reason to lie, right.”

“Yeah… Lin Yi said that you were his partner in war before? You guys knew each other?” Lingshan said subconsciously before explaining herself. “There’s nothing going on between Lin Yi and me. We’re just normal friends. He wouldn’t like me anyway…”

“Oh? Did he tell you all of that? It looks like you guys are getting pretty close?” Huajun said with a slight smile.

Lin Yi wasn’t someone who liked talking about his past, and the fact that he told all that to Lingshan meant that their relationship was getting somewhere. Otherwise, he wouldn’t do that at all.

“It’s alright. We’re a bit better than normal friends…” Lingshan wanted to say that they’d undressed already, but that was too much- she couldn’t say something that embarrassing, she stripped, and Lin Yi wasn’t even moved!

“Haha, actually, from a big brother’s perspective, I do hope for you to be with Lin Yi. I know your standards, and Lin Yi fits you just right. Marrying him would make me very glad for you!” Huaijun said. “But your house…I wonder if your grandpa would like that?”
