Chapter 149 Morning Routines

"Mmm, I'll ask." Lee Seng nodded. Lee Seng brought up the group chat and skimmed through it. He gathered Lee Seng and Ritsuka came back an hour later than Evan and Olivia. Olivia and Evan told them they came across black veined goblins and it was a harder fighting experience than regular goblins.

LS: Hey, we apparently get tablets from the school. Check your schedules and go to the end for your homeroom. Let me know which homeroom you have. Liz and Manny think y'all might be in the same one with us.

OO: 3:367

ET: 3:374

RY: 3:374

LS: Ooo, dayum. I guess Olivia and I are together.

RY: Eh, that's fine. We're together all day anyways until the end LOL

ET: T_T that's fine

OO: IT'S OKAY, EVAN. WE HAVE EACH OTHER AT LEAST

ET: T_T

RY: *pat pat* its okay.

LS: Well, imma tell Liz and Manny.

"Olivia's in the same homeroom as us. Ritsuka and Evan are in 3:374." Lee Seng told Liz and Manny.

"Ah, they're with the math teacher down the hall." Manny chuckled. Liz smacked Manny's arm again and rolled her eyes.

"Do the homework!" She pointed with her tablet pen.

"Fine..." Manny scrolled to the next question as Liz looked up at Lee Seng.

"That math teacher have some sort of reputation?" Lee Seng asked.

"More like that math teacher and Manny don't like each other. Manny embarrassed the math teacher in front of the class and the incident spread around like wildfire." Liz shook her head as she looked back at her tablet. She started to scribble an answer down as Manny tried to hold his chuckles in.

Lee Seng's attention drew back to his phone and scrolled the group chat to see the others still chatting about the first day of school at the Academy.

ET: I feel fine about tomorrow being our first day. We literally got thrown into some nasty situations over the weekend.

OO: I'm already feeling nervous. It's keeping me awake after I took my shower.

OO: I feel like I'm going paranoid about the smell of monster blood and guts all over me *nasty face*

RY: Put me in a wheelchair and wheel me out.

RY: MY legs are nonexistent.

LS: lmao

LS: *rolling gif*

LS: I'll carry you to class if you wnt

ET: LOLOLOL

OO: LMAO

ET: DO IT

LS: You know these arms can carry you like nothing

LS: Goblin body removal wasn't too bad ;)

RY: Haha, bet.

LS: *thumbs up*

LS: Well, I'm feeling sleepy.

LS: *sleepy sticker*

LS: Gonna go sleep.

OO: Alright, good night! Breakfast tmrw?

LS: When?

LS: Oh, Liz is studying with Manny btw

OO: Ahhh, that's where she went. Ok!

OO: What time did you guys wanna meet @Ritsuka @Evan ?

RY: When does homeroom start?

ET: Uhhhhh....

ET: 8am

RY: Then let's meet at like 7 for breakfast?

OO: Alright, 7am then? (LL, RY, and ET have liked this message)

LS: Sounds good.

LS: I'm gonna go sleep then. I'm wiped. *tired emoji*

LS: *sleeping gif*

OO: Alright, goodnight, Lee Seng! *bye emoji*

RY: Goodnight, Lee Seng *waves*

ET: Night.

Lee Seng shut off his phone and plugged his phone in and quickly set an alarm for 6:30am. He pulled his shirt off and set it on the nightstand and slipped under the covers, moving the pillow with him.

- The Next Morning -

6:30am

Lee Seng and Manny's alarms both went off at the same time. Lee Seng woke to the loud cry of the alarm next to him and groggily grabbed his phone and shut it off. He could hear Manny's alarm still blaring away. Lee Seng groaned as he forced himself into a sitting position, comforter slipping off and revealing his naked torso.

He stared at the slowly awakening Manny and pulled the comforter off of him. He stood up and moved to the bathroom. Lee Seng relieved his bladder and started his morning routine. Brush his teeth, mouth wash, apply face wash and morning creams onto him and walk out to see a zombie Manny walking to the bathroom.

Lee Seng listened to Manny groan at him and step into the bathroom. He moved over to the shades and pulled his side open. He fixed his bed, folded his t-shirt next to the nightstand and move to change. He slipped on the white button-up t-shirt with his first name letter initialed with his last name after it and black pants. He slipped on the dark gray sweater with blue, green and white accent lines and the Third Year marking on his right shoulder.

Lee Seng grabbed some socks and fished for his black slip on shoes in the closet and shut it once it finished. Lee Seng moved to his bed and slipped on his socks, listening to Manny walk out of the bathroom more awake.

"Ahh, I feel better now." Manny's rough morning voice happily spoke. Lee Seng slipped the other sock on and looked up at him.

"I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse that I'm used to your sleeping habits." Lee Seng shook his head. He grabbed his shoes and started to slip them on one at a time.

"I'm not a morning person, man." Manny yawned. "Gotta get a cup of coffee to even function." Manny moved over to his closet and began to change into his uniform.

"I'm gonna go have breakfast with the others. Wanna come?" Lee Seng offered.

,m "Mmm, Liz said something about Olivia inviting her to have breakfast with y'all."

Lee Seng slipped his last shoe on and moved back to lie on the bed. He scrolled his phone and noticed a couple of text messages. He noticed he had gotten a text from Akali, Akio, and the Creator. Lee Seng sighed and clicked the Creator's text message.

Creator: I was informed of your field outing with Number 9. Continue to work hard. It's also your first day of classes at the Academy, correct? Do well and don't tarnish my reputation.

Lee Seng sighed and moved onto Akali's message.

Akali: Just know I had to report to your father about the field expedition outing. He didn't seem impressed or disappointed, so I guess he's a bit impressed. Do well on your first day of classes.

Lee Seng: Now I wish I read your message before I read his. SMH... Thanks, I'll try to have a good day.

Akio: Hey how was your field expedition? Kali told me that you did pretty well against a shifter yesterday. Hopefully you can continue to grow and get just as strong as me hahaha.

Akio: I'll make sure to leave a tiny bit of room between us because I don't want you to feel bad about not being better than me ;)

Lee Seng: Screw you, Ki. I was just lucky. I need to practice more. I'm gonna head to breakfast with some new friends so see ya. Hope you can visit me sooon T_T

"Ready?" Manny tapped Lee Seng's shoe. Lee Seng looked up and heaved himself up into a sitting position.

"Yeah, let's go." Lee Seng stood up and moved to grab the backpack on his desk. "Do I jsut need that tablet we're getting from the school?"

"Yeah, that tablet will last you the whole day at school even if you slack off and play games on it." Manny answered. Lee Seng strapped the backpack onto his back and followed Manny out of the room. "What about gym clothes? Will I get them before class?"

"I think you get it in homeroom too. You filled out the sheets beforehand, right?" Manny held the door open and let Lee Seng through.

"Yeah, I filled all the sheets out."

"Then it shouldn't be a problem. You should get the stuff during homeroom." Manny shut the door behind him and slung his arm around Lee Seng. Lee Seng pulled Manny's arm off and glared at him before moving.

"Come on," Lee Seng moved forward. "Ritsuka and Evan are already waiting for us right there." Lee Seng pointed. He waved at Ritsuka and Evan, who were both looking at their phones.

"Yo, did you wait long?" Manny asked.

"Huh? No, we just got here not too long ago." Evan answered. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and tapped Ritsuka. Ritsuka pushed himself off the wall and groaned when he tried to balance himself.

"Your legs hurt like hell now?" Lee Seng asked.

"Yeah," Ritsuka nodded. "Leg day will be worth it..."

"Do you need help?" Manny asked.

"Nah, I'll tough it out. Can we take the elevator though? I don't want to see stairs until we have to use them."

"Sure, sure." Evan hit the elevator button down and the elevator began to descend. The boys made small talk amongst each other. Manny was being the usual Manny, but more tired without his cup of coffee. He was asking and wondering how the others were feeling about the first day of classes. They began to answer each other as the elevator opened and they filed in with the half-filled elevator.
