Chapter 351 The Lords And Ladies Of Limbo

"Fox?" The demon smiled. "That's what you're calling him? Ha, maybe I should just deal with the Fox for you. You have so much on your plate, I should just—" A blood bolt flew straight through the demon's heart. The demon's mouth filled with blood. He let out a wicked smile as he looked down at the puncture. Blood spilled from his mouth, dropping onto his body and the floor.

"Begone, demon. These souls are all mine and what I do with them are up to me." Cain told the demon, again. The demon squeezed the blood, shattering the hardened blood. He watched his wound heal in an instant. The demon opened his mouth and more blood spikes flew out, piercing the demon straight through the head.

"Argh." The demon groaned. The blood held him up as Cain slowly moved forward, removing his long black sword from his should and pointing it at the demon.

"MY patience is thin, demon. Begone." Cain slashed downwards, splitting the demon's entire body in half.

"ARGH!" The demon screamed turning to ash. Cain's black longsword pulled the demon's ashes into his sword. He turned around and his crimson blood eyes made eye contact with Lee Seng.

"Come with me, little Fox. I shall amuse myself." Cain raised his left hand and red energy swirled around the two of them, pulling them out of their spots. Cain and Lee Seng appeared in a tower covered in black and white. "Get up and follow me." Cain ordered. Lee Seng stood up and followed Cain through the doors. The skies were filled with colors of death.

Everything around them didn't make any sense to Lee Seng. Had he really been to such a place before? Cain's form shimmered as he moved through the doors. A white shirt that left a V-opening going down to his chest as his black overcoat changed to a leather overcoat that billowed behind him. He wore black pants and boots. His hat disappeared and a tuft of short black hair was left in its place. Lee Seng followed after, climbing the stairs after Cain.

"Where are we going?" Lee Seng asked. Cain didn't answer. They continued to climb the stairs to the second floor. Cain stepped onto the red carpet and followed it straight to a set of gold ornate doors. He pushed the doors open, revealing the red carpet continuing into the room creating a large circle. 5 chairs sat in a half-circle with a large red chair in the middle. Cain stepped up to the red chair and turned and sat.

"Come in." Cain motioned. Lee Seng felt himself pull forward as the golden doors closed behind him. He stopped in the middle of the circular carpet.

"Lord Cain, who have you brought into our establishment?" A ethereal woman's voice asked. Cain turned right and watched as a ethereal ghost woman sat on the green throne. Her whole entire body materialized as she gave Cain a glance before looking at Lee Seng.

"I've received word that Lord Cain has personally dealt with the demons. What will we do if that Devil decides to send all of Hell after us?" A skeleton with burning red eyes appeared sitting on a white bony throne directly left of Cain. "Do you want them to attack our Realm, again, Lord Cain? What happened the last time you decided to do something as drastic as this?"

"Lady Beth and Lord Eros, what a pleasant surprise. You're just in time. I was about to figure what to do with the little Fox here." Cain motioned at Lee Seng.

"Lord Cain, do you really think this Fox Spirit-human hybrid is worthy of your attention? We could just throw him out and let the creatures of the Realm handle him." Lady Beth motioned at him. Her hand became see through as she pointed a finger at him.

"Well, Lord Cain should figure out what happens to this one before the other two come. Who knows what Lady Esme takes a liking to him and feasts upon his special blood." Lord Eros pointed a bony finger at him.

"Someone's talking about me?" A woman stepped out from behind a chair and gave Lord Cain a peck before sitting in the black chair to his right. She wore a revealing outfit and giggled when she laid her eyes on Lee Seng. "This one's cute. Are you sure I can't have him, Lord Cain?"

"Enough, temptress! Lord Cain hasn't degreed anything yet!" The shadows pulled and a lanky tall man appeared sitting in the gray chair.

"Enough, all of you." Cain spoke. The four settled down and looked towards Cain. Cain's eyes stared at Lee Seng for awhile before speaking, again. "Little Fox, show me your friend."

"F-friend?" Lee Seng stuttered in confusion. "I don't know who you're—"

"He lingers right behind you and yet you cannot feel him?" The shadowy Lord next to Lord Eros pointed out.

"Lord Varjo, you should keep your mouth shut. The little Fox seems to be scared by our presence already." Lady Esme warned him.

"If he's too incompetent to even notice that faux demon attached to him then why should we give him the time of day? Just because Lord Cain has decreed it?"

"Don't be rude, Lord Varjo." Lord Eros moved his bony finger over his mouth. "You'll dig your own grave if you continue."

"I'm already in my grave. I have to stay here for an eternity because I lost a measly bet!" Lord Varjo stomped.

"Shhh." Lady Beth hushed. An ethereal sleepy feeling washed throughout the room. Lee Seng began to doze off as the other seemingly ignored the effects. "We aren't here to fight, but to see the little one Lord Cain has taken interest in. Lord Cain, shall we continue?" Lady Beth motioned. Lord Cain stood up and moved down the steps towards the dozing Lee Seng. He reached past his shoulder and grabbed onto something behind the Fox boy. He pulled and a demonic Lee Seng appeared in Cain's hand.

"Talk before I kill you, fake demon." Cain ordered. The demonic Lee Seng smiled as he gripped onto Cain's hand.

"You could spot me… I-I didn't think you all were that perspective." The Demon smiled. Cain tossed him and blood runes immediately scattered across his body. Cain turned and moved back up the steps and sat on his mercury throne.

"Explain yourself, demon. What're you doing to the Fox?" Cain asked.

"What am I doing?" The Demon chuckled. He stood up and looked over at Lee Seng, who dropped onto the ground, asleep. "I'm taking what's mine. What're you doing interfering with him? Last I checked, you didn't care about such trivial matters."

"Last you checked?" Lord Eros repeated like he was going to raise an eyebrow (if he had any). "What do you mean by that, fake demon?"

"Stop calling me a fake demon. Last I checked, I am one." The Demon corrected.

"Then what should we call you? Fake? A liar?" Lady Esme asked.

"We have no name. We're just numbers on a system to our Master. I'm Eleven."

"Eleven. How crude." Lord Varjo shook his head. "I feel bad for you. No individuality under a Master that simply numbers you. Hmph, just as cruel as those numbered Biohumans."

"What business do you have here, Eleven?" Cain asked, ignoring the comment by Varjo. Eleven tilted his head and tapped his lips. Even in the presence of Lords and Ladies of Limbo, he acted like they were simply people he didn't owe anything to.

"I've come to torment this poor soul." He motioned at Lee Seng. "I've combed through his memories and it seems like this would be the best place to make him break. If he can't remember a thing then I can easily do my job and take over his body. Once I do that, I can be more of use to the other D31M0N5.

"We're the next step in human evolution. You wish to put yourself in the affairs of humans, Lord Cain?" Eleven raised an eyebrow. Esme and Varjo narrowed their eyes a the deimon.

'Is he serious?' Lady Esme thought. 'For a fake demon, this deimon is cocky.'

"You cannot use my Realm for your needs. If you wish to torment the Fox, do it on Earth. I will not tolerate you popping in and out of my Realm as you please." Cain objected.

"Oh come on, Lord Cain. It's only for awhile until the spell wears off."

"The spell?" Lady Beth asked.

"That's what that was." Lord Eros nodded. The others turned to look at him as he pointed his bony finger at Lee Seng's chest area. "I was wondering why a strange energy was around his heart like that. It's a spell. A nasty one at that." Eros turned to face Eleven. "Who would do such a thing? Don't you know spells like that are dangerous? It looks incomplete too. It could be taxing to the caster and to the one receiving it."

"Hmph, like I care about that. He won't die from it." Eleven motioned looking at Cain. "You know what he's capable of."
