Chapter 450 Knowledge Rat

Keng found himself standing in the library as Gorrum and Jyu'so gasped at its large selection. The library had a earthy smell to it. Keng sighed as he looked around. He hadn't been in here in a long time, yet his curiosity was creeping up on him. What answers could he find here? He moved past Gorrum and Jyu'so and headed to a table and sat in it.

"What're you doing? We must dig through all of this knowledge to find what we need." Jyu'so asked.

"Library." Keng spoke. The glow of the Crystal appeared and pushed itself off the wall and floated down to Keng. "Do you have information on a Curse that can take away Light?"

"A Curse that can take away Light… Let me check, sir." The wisp spoke. It floated off to the right side and after a few minutes, it came back with a single book. "This is what I could find with your description. There's a Vengeance Curse that could possibly do such a thing."

The wisp set the book down on the table and entered it. It began to flip the pages until it landed on the Vengeance Curse.

"Vengeance Curse. A Curse that can be born from ill-intent (like other Curses) or by the intent of the user, itself. If the Curse is born from the user, it's effects are heightened. If a Vengeance Curse is to ever evolve, it's effects on the Saviors is great. This Curse is one of many Curses that could alter and/or even destroy the Saviors Blessing." Keng read aloud.

"Is there anything else in particular you need to know?" The AI spoke.

"Could it use illusions to disguise itself as a harmless girl to lure people in?" Keng asked. The book flipped a couple of pages and landed on the 'powers' section. "Powers are usually different based on what is corrupted by the Vengeance Curse. Whatever powers the individual had would most likely transfer over with the addition of the following: Life absorption, voice and appearance mimicry, enhanced strength, enhanced vitality, enhanced magic, and in very rare cases, mutation abilities. Huh, Saviors documented all of this?"

"Correct. Saviors that have come before you have documented everything there is to know in this place. That is why the library must always be accessible." The AI wisp flew out of the book and hovered in front of Keng. "If there is something new that happens, you'll have to document it yourself and leave it in my care. I will always do my best to take care of it."

"So, if that's the case then do you know if someone lost their Light abilities, what do they need to do to get it back?" Keng asked.

"Please hold just a moment." The Wisp fired off to Keng's left as Jyu'so scrolled through the pages of a book. Gorrum had made his way over to Keng and hovered above him, listening and reading the information given to him. A minute later, the Wisp flew back with a stack of books. "These are all books with heavy information on losing Savior abilities. Please refer to these books for help."

"Do you know any, in particular, that lost their Light abilities from a Vengeance Curse, then?" Keng asked. The Wisp set the books down and floated down, pushing itself into a book in the middle and forcing itself out. It landed on the table and began to flip as it set itself in front of Keng.

"Please refer to this page for information." The Wisp spoke.

The Vengeance curse took away my ability to use Light magic. It's been a couple of weeks since its happened and I can't use it at all. From what I've gathered, I can still feel the presence of Light within my body but I cannot access it. At first I thought the Curse simply took it away because I've seen many cases like that before.

But, thankfully, my Light is still inside of me from what the Seers have told me. They can see the Light still glowing inside of me, but they all say it's dim. "It's probably been dimmed by the Vengeance Curse and you'll need to cleanse yourself to access your Light again." I will attempt to cleanse myself and notate my experiences here.

I am writing again after a couple of days after the last entry above. I've started cleansing rituals and have gone through MANY of them without avail. I was about to give up when I found a cleansing ritual that cleans impurities within the body. I initially thought it was just taking the literal impurities out of your body but I was wrong. I kept getting hung up over it and decided to try it AND… I CAN SEE MY LIGHT AGAIN!

I've been doing this for two days, but it's working. I will write again with full progress!

The entry I wrote above is about three weeks old. I haven't had the time to write about my findings ever since then and I am quite sorry about it. I hope the person who's reading this doesn't find it annoying. (There's a drawing of a Fox smiling.) I know I shouldn't doodle in this but I am in a very good mood!

I can say, with one hundred percent accuracy, the cleansing ritaul of Impurities works! During my last small entry, I did it for two days and felt it come back to me. I did it for about four days and made a full recovery. It wasn't until my last day that Lady Freya came upon my cleansing ritual and told me I didn't have all of the ingridents! I showed her the book and she told me it wasn't updated, so I will update that. The Ritual of Impurities should cleanse you in two days or less time. Please refer to Cleansing Ritual Vol. II for more information!

"Cleansing Ritual Volume II… Hm, alright." Keng nodded. "Find me Cleansing Ritual Volume II."

"Right away, sir!" The Wisp shot out of the book flew through Keng, towards the front of the room. The Wisp quickly came back with the book and set the book in front of Keng.

"Find Cleansing Ritual of Impurities." Keng ordered. The Wisp entered the book and flipped through the pages, eventually landing on the Ritual.

"Anything else, sir?" The Wisp asked.

"Could set the rest of these books back in their place?" Keng motioned.

"Yes, sir! I will be off! If anyone needs help, please ask for help. I shall be here." The Wisp spoke with such pleasure. It seemed to bow to Keng and Gorrum before splitting itself into tinier wisps and lifting the books off to their designated spots.

"Alright, let's see what we need for this Impurities Ritual…" Keng whispered.

Cleansing Ritual of Impurities

— UPDATED BY OPAL AND LADY FREYA! —

4 Moon Roots — They grow at the top of the Temple. They're blue-white roots that can easily be spotted.

3 Sun Soaked Rocks — Any rocks will do. You'll need these to soak for about half a day in the twin Suns light. It must be filled with the Suns light to balance the Ritual.

3 Blue Leaves

1 Cleansing Powder (Any cleansing powder you use for bathing will do!)

** This one's the last thing you need! I didn't know about this, so the Impurity Cleansing Ritual didn't have FULL EFFECT! Thanks, Lady Freya (There's a drawing of a Fox smiling)!**

Golem Fungus — These are typically found to the East of the Temple. They grow off cliffs and have a shiny look to them. They're about six to eight inches tall and can easily be spotted if you've ever seen a stone golem!

"A stone golem… I haven't seen one before." Keng sighed. He looked at Gorrum who moved closer.

"Can I see that?" Gorrum asked.

"Sure." Keng lifted the book and handed it to Gorrum. Gorrum read the Cleansing Ritual, again. He jotted down the information in the air as glowing Fox runes appeared. After he was done writing, he closed the book and handed it to Keng. "AI, take this one." A Wisp shot out of the sky and entered the book.

"Yes, sir! Did you find everything alright?" The Wisp spoke.

"Yeah, thanks for your help." Keng nodded. The Wisp shot behind Keng and Gorrum, setting the book on one of the bookshelves near the door. Keng turned to look at Gorrum as he sat down besides him. "So we have to find those things?"

"Yeah. AFter that we can do the Cleansing Ritual." Gorrum nodded.

"You know how those work?"

"I've done a couple in my time." Gorrum nodded. He pointed at Jyu'so and Keng looked behind him. "Elder Jyu'so was cursed so I periodically have to do a specific ritual of sorts for him. Cleansing Rituals seem to be in a similar vein so it shouldn't be too hard to find these."

"What do we do after we find them?" Keng asked.

"Well," Gorrum stood up. "We'll create a runic circle and fill it with water. I'm guessing you didn't read that part, huh?"

"Nope, I read Golem Fungus and thought of many things after that…" Keng chuckled. Gorrum shook his head and motioned.

"I'll show you after we get the stuff. Let's soak some Rocks while we find the rest of the ingredients."
