Chapter 479 Spiritual Presence

The room went quiet after Cain revealed Lee Seng's spiritual power. It was a strong hunch. Dathro and the other gods took a moment to swallow the information. Lee Seng was already a special case to Cain and Dathro. He was fully Human and fully Fox Spirit and had another Fox Spirit within him. His unique twin soul, alone, drew the attention of many gods.

"The most spiritual powered human you've come across in a millennia?" Lady of Jewels repeated. It was one of the few times she actually didn't yell at him. She spoke with such curiosity and shock.

"You understand the statement you're making, God of Limbo?" Truthseeker asked. "You're saying a human has high spiritual power."

"You know what happened when the last human was given that much spiritual power." A rough faced man in armor spoke up. Cain looked to the left. He knew this god as Ares. He was originally from Earth, but his power draws from another Realm far away from Earth. Ares leaned forward, armor shifting. "They almost destroyed Earth. If it weren't for the gods at that time, the reset would've been more destructive."

"Yes, Lord Ares is correct." Truthseeker nodded. "A human with that much spiritual power must be watched."

"Or worst, put down." Dathro spoke up. The gods all turned to him. He was the last person they thought would say such a thing. Dathro let out a sigh and straightened his back out as Cain sat down, lifting one leg over the other. "That was the exact reason why Earth was washed away and restarted. The gifts we gave them were too much. And now, it might be happening again."

"Shouldn't he be stored away as a stone then?" Lady of Jewels asked. "What if he causes so much trouble? The last one almost destroyed the Earth Realm. What will this one do with all of the gifts given to him?" She looked at Dathro with a serious gaze. It had been awhile since Lady of Jewels spoke so seriously to another God that wasn't Cain or so young.

p "Ask Fate for an answer. Maybe they can show you what you want to know, Lady of Jewels." Cain replied.

"I wasn't asking you!" Lady of Jewels retorted. Cain shrugged and folded his arms as the other gods shifted, uncomfortably.

"I'll watch him for you, God King." Wysteria rose her hand up. The young woman with raven hair removed her feet from the table and smiled at God King.

"Why would you watch him? You are nowhere near Earth Realm." Cain asked.

"Oh, come on. He's an interesting person. I just want to know what all the fuss is about."

"That's worst coming from your mouth, Wysteria." Lady of Jewels shook her head. "You're a God of Death. A tricky one at that. Who knows what you could be up to." She motioned at Wysteria. Wysteria kept her smile, eying the heavily jeweled goddess. "God King, what do you have to say? Will you trust a young god like Wysteria to watch one of your children?"

God King Dathro was quiet for awhile. The gods waited for the older God to speak.

"I think any godly intervention/watching will harm the boy more than support him. Let Fate do it's work. This is a trial meant for him. If he cannot survive under God Cain's wing, it just means he isn't spiritually powerful." The room grew quiet. Cain grabbed his cane, unhooking it as he stood up.

"I'll take that as you're allowing me to work the boy?" Cain asked.

"I'll allow it, Cain." Dathro nodded. "But, make sure you keep him safe as best as you can."

Cain nodded.

"I may be a god who doesn't want intervention for someone unique like him, but try not to get him killed through your 'Collecting.'" Dathro added. "If you can figure out whether or not he's really a powerful spiritual human, it could easily explain a lot of questions I have about him."

"You have questions about your own son, God King?" Cain asked. The usual smirk grew across his face. Lady of Jewels grew irritated while Dathro simply continued on.

"There are things even I don't know, Cain. I may be an old God from the previous generation, but I have questions just like you do." Dathro answered. Cain nodded, swinging the cane in his hand. "Please take care of Lee Seng for me. I hope both of my sons can reunite before their fates turn against them."

"If that's all, everyone…" Cain stepped off to the side of his chair. "I have business I need to attend to." There was silence, once again as the gods all turned to look at God King Dathro.

"Go ahead." Dathro motioned. "We have Realms to watch over. I'm sure you don't want to leave your Realm unwatched."

"Thank you, God King Dathro." Cain bowed. "I look forward to seeing more of your children come by."

Lee Seng woke up in a huge, huge bed. His body ached as he tried to push himself up. He remembered why he was like that. He let out a loud sigh as he laid like a corpse on the bed. He could see only one bed post to his right. It was black with red, green, purple, and white engravings on it. See-through mercury colored drapes gave a sense of "privacy" that didn't seem so private to him.

'You can literally see everything…' Lee Seng thought. He slowly moved his head to look right and noticed he was in a fairly large room. The room gave him a 'historic victorian' vibe. Old, regal and old. He turned to look the other way, only to scream and jump.

"AH!" Lee Seng shouted. He landed on his butt, nowhere near the edge of the bed as Lady Esme was turned to him, head propped up with one arm. She looked like she was wearing a nightgown. A semi-transparent one at that. He could see her black bra and immediately turned away.

"Oh! You're truly a man." Lady Esme giggled. She didn't scoot closer to him. Her aura was full of charm and lust. Lee Seng gulped. "Do you remember who I am, little Human-Fox Spirit?"

"Uh…" Lee Seng couldn't even get out a single word.

"I'll take it as you don't remember. You did have a faux demon trying to torment you… Speaking of that, I don't feel his presence. Did you get rid of him?" Lady Esme asked. Lee Seng winced as he tried to move. His body was screaming and on fire.

"Why… isn't my body healing?" Lee Seng managed to ask.

"Your body? You mean your soul."

Lee Seng looked at Lady Esme. She rose and crossed her legs together, sitting looking at him.

"Let's start with introductions first. I'm one of the five Lords ruling over Limbo - Lady Esme." She smiled, revealing her fangs. Lee Seng tried to speak but her aura and the pain wouldn't allow him to. She leaned over and touched him, pulling him closer. His injuries instantly healed as her eyes glowed red. She licked her lips as she pulled away.

"There, you should be all better now." Lady Esme told him. The heavy aura of charm and lust permeated the room. Lee Seng felt like it was hard to resist her. Lady Esme, on the other hand, simply acted like she didn't care.

"Lady Esme. I-I think I remember you." Lee Seng finally replied. "You sit closest to Cain."

"You don't use honorifics when you're talking about Lord Cain?" Lady Esme pointed out. "That's dangerous, little Fox. It might be able to swing by me because I simply don't care, but the others might find it disrespectful. Bear that in mind, little Fox." Lee Seng nodded, taking a mental note of Lady Esme's advice. He stared at her for awhile. The woman was a textbook vampire in his eyes, but he was too afraid to ask if she was one.

'Would it be rude to ask someone of their race?' Lee Seng thought.

"I'm a vampire if you were wondering." Lady Esme smiled.

"Everyone reads my mind here, too." Lee Seng sighed.

"Don't worry. I can't read your mind. I can see it on your face. You were staring too hard at my mouth." Lady Esme leaned in closer. "Or maybe you're intoxicated by my looks and wanted to have some… fun." She giggled as Lee Seng gulped. It was hard to keep himself under control. She knew this and still played with him.

"N-n-no." Lee Seng gently pushed her away. Lady Esme was shocked by this. Anyone would've taken her request with no hesitation. Lee Seng seemed to be struggling as he looked away from her. He focused his attention on the room.

'Victorian and old.' Lee Seng thought. His heart was leaping out of his chest and he wanted to take up Lady Esme's offer, but deep down he knew something bad could happen.
