Chapter 529 Crazy For You

The thief was done with Lisa and her crazy antics. The bloodsucking woman in front of him annihilated four squadrons of people and tore through one of their base of operations. Her clothes didn't take much splatter of blood either. Her arms, legs and mouth was caked in dried blood, but that wasn't the reason this thief was pissed. He pointed the gun straight at her head and let a smile out.

"You're just bait, princess." The thief told Lisa. "Once we get your teammate to come and save you, we'll kill both of you." A smile grew on Lisa's face.

"Can't wait, buddy." Lisa retorted.

"Take her in." The thief motioned. A thief moved in and swung at her, forcing her to turn around and continue walking.

'They killed Lee Seng. That means he should've respawned back as the Estate. He'll come back for us…' Lisa tried to keep optimistic, but something was worrying her. 'Where the hell is David? He didn't get caught and there's little to no information on him. The thieves aren't giving much information on him. Who's really alive and who's really dead?'

Lee Seng wandered closer to the large clearing. Buildings seemed to be wiped out and reassembled to create a large fortress of sorts in the city. Guards on guards littered the entrances.

'This looks like one of the fortresses from a show I've watched. Security's probably too tight.' Lee Seng thought. He listened to the thief guard chit chat like everything was fine in the world. 'This is gonna be hard…' Lee Seng thought. The sounds of screams erupted, catching his attention. A row of beige-white spikes flew out, killing the thief guards in one hit. The spikes painted everything red as a small figure rushed at them.

"Get him! It's the remaining intruder!" A thief shouted. A horn went off and Lee Seng let out a sigh.

'It's David.' Lee Seng thought. 'Only he would rush in like that. I should use this to my advantage.' He pressed himself against the wall as he lifted his hand. His form turned completely invisible. It was rough on the edges, but if Lee Seng stood still, you couldn't see him. He made his way into the chaos that David was creating.

David's form was different. He was… Bonier. Literally. His arms were skeleton white already but he took on more of the bones on his skin and flesh. Lee Seng could hear the chaos of bone spikes impaling people as David cut and stabbed his way towards the door.

"Get him!" The guards shouted. Gun fire didn't do much against David. He simply blocked it or stepped out of view. Magical blasts of the elements flew at David. Lee Seng could tell David was a full-fledge Fighter. Yeah, he had AOE, but he couldn't quite hit his mark against the ranged users. They stayed out of his way and continued to barrage him with attacks.

Lee Seng fired off attacks at the ranged users, hitting them with relative ease (He was invisible after all). The guards flew off the side and fell with resounding thuds. Lee Seng continued his way forward as guards panicked and looked over at him. They couldn't see him because of his invisibility and with their poor night sight. David, typical David, rushed in without much thought of it.

'Maybe he thinks he actually did that.' Lee Seng thought. Bones flew up, nearly impaling Lee Seng. The spikes triggered his time in the woods against that Blood Puppet. He wished he could go back to simpler times like that, as the ground erupted in more spikes. He used the opportunity to lift himself into the sky towards the top of the wall the guards were on.

[4 Thieves killed. 16 souls added! 96/10,000]

He jumped off and landed with a thud. Paranoid guards pointed their weapons and magic at the source of the noise, only to be met with David killing them. David moved along without much thought. He probably only had one thought: Save Lisa. Lee Seng rolled his eyes.

'I hope I don't become this dumb because I love someone.' Lee Seng thought. He followed after David, staying behind just in case the dummy picked up on the fact someone was following him. David moved through the fortress without much regard to safety. He killed whatever tried to kill him and Lee Seng simply just followed.

'It's nice to have a brute.' Lee Seng thought. 'Manny would fit this well, but only because he's a masochist. Who else would be a brute like that? Ha, one of those idiots who always try to pick a fight with me. Ahhh, I miss school.' He snapped out of his thoughts as David came to a stop. Lee Seng took a moment to take in David's form. His skull was somewhat popping out and his back had bones popping out of it too.

Lee Seng wondered what happened to David to have this sort of physical appearence, but he couldn't really make fun of it as his form was quite… Showy, too.

"Lisa." David whispered. It sounded grainy and barely hearable to Lee Seng.

'What in the hell did you go through?' Lee Seng thought. David looked left and bolted right without any indication. Lee Seng followed after, accidentally making noise. David turned in an instant and a bony sword flew straight at Lee Seng. Lee Seng's invisible form fizzled as he shielded himself from the attack. David was already going in for another strike when the sword suddenly stopped milli-inches from the shield.

"Lee Seng?" David's hoarse voice called out. "You were following me this entire time?"

"I just got here and happened to see you." Lee Seng quietly answered. David reluctantly put his sword arms down to his side. "What's with the new look?"

"This?" David moved his head. Lee Seng nodded. "My gift."

"Ahh." Lee Seng nodded as David turned around.

"Did you know Lisa was here?" David asked.

"Not until you mentioned it in your whisper." Lee Seng pointed out. He walked next to David as they made their way down the open hallway. A thief would run out and David would fly at them without much thought and kill them. "You're quicker."

"I'm always like this." David replied. "You didn't know beforehand."

"Ah. So Lisa's here? That means she got caught?" Lee Seng asked. David didn't answer.

"Just find her."

"Mmm, if I find her before the horses." Lee Seng replied. David stopped and turned, pointing his arm sword at Lee Seng. "Don't give me that look, Bones. Whatever I see first is what I'll deal with. I'm not cold-hearted like you and would leave someone skilled to die."

,m "Are you trying to annoy me?" David asked. Lee Seng noticed thieves running at them and lifted his hand. He fired off cosmic energy that looked like it was going to fly straight at David, but split at the last second and killed the thieves.

[3 Thieves killed. 108/10,000]

"Maybe." Lee Seng smirked behind his mask. The bone and darkness covering David's face didn't hide the eyes. Lee Seng could see the rage in David's eyes as he glared at Lee Seng. "Just so you know, there's Vryks and Werewolves here." He moved past David, not waiting for the bone man to make a decision on whether or not he's going to kill Lee Seng.

"Goblins, orcs, hobgoblins, and even pesky Ogres." David added.

"Ogres. Great." Lee Seng nodded.

"Why do you have such a nonchalant attitude about all of this? We could die at any moment." David asked, following his annoying teammate.

"Facing death a couple of times makes you a lot of things." Lee Seng replied. "I became a joker."

"It's annoying. Stop it."

"Stop being so tough boy and I'll stop being 'nonchalant.'" Lee Seng smiled. David rolled his eyes as they came to a split.

"Halt! Intruders!" A thief shouted. Lee Seng darted right, not telling David anything. David went left and began his never-ending slaughter. Lee Seng twirled through the magical attacks, shapeshifting into Gray the goblin and cackling.

"You're going to die!" Lee Seng cackled in Goblin. He bounced around the room, summoning his katana as he slashed the thieves into pieces. He landed behind the dead bodies, sheathing his katana.

[4 Thieves killed. 124/10,000]

"You're a goblin?" David asked. Lee Seng shifted out of Gray the goblin and looked at David.

"I was undercover." Lee Seng quoted. "I should've just killed the goblin, but I panicked and turned into one instead."

"You have very unconventional ways of dealing with things."

"Not everything involves straight up murder, Bones." Lee Seng told him. David's mouth twitched as he moved past the dead bodies towards Lee Seng.

"You're annoying."

"I think that's the nicest thing you've said to me!" Lee Seng squealed. David's mouth twitched, again as he ignored it and moved past Lee Seng. Lee Seng followed with a smile on his face. "We gotta go deeper in towards the left. I saw them brining a whole bunch of the Horses and monsters there. Lisa's probably there."

"I was just thinking that too." David lied.

"You had no clue."

"Shut up."

"Ha, you admit it!"

"Shut up!" David swung at Lee Seng. Lee Seng easily dodged the attack and grinned at David. "Say anything else and I'll skewer you like the rest." Lee Seng gave a salute and motioned for David to continue as David cursed under his breath.

'Why do I always end up with the broody dudes?' Lee Seng asked himself. 'It's like I'm being told I have a personality type I'm into or something.'
