Chapter 14: Lying To Him (1)

In the office.

Ye Yuqing hummed a song and opened the newly received documents.

Her smile was very contagious, and the colleague next door came over and asked, “Xiao Ye, what good things have you encountered, you look so happy these days.”

“That’s true, something good definitely happened, Sister, do you want to drink some milk? I brought an extra bottle.”

“It’s okay, thanks.”

As usual, the colleagues with similar work stations exchanged their snacks.

Ye Yuqing stood up, ready to get a cup of hot water, raised her eyes and saw Xiao Zhao walking over with a box on hand. Her movements stopped.

Xiao Zhao was the company’s copywriter. Half a month ago, he and the director of the construction group fell out, and then there was yet another conflict. The next day after the fall out, he submitted his resignation and because it took time for the handover, he officially left only today.

Xiao Zhao generally had a good relationship with everyone, but they could only look at each other blankly and did not know what to say.

In the silence, Zhang Lu walked out of his office. He looked around and fixed himself on Xiao Zhao, and said, “Don’t go just yet, I want to check your box to see if you have taken important company documents.”

When those words fell, the expressions of everyone in the building were both awkward and shocked.

What important things can there be in such a small office? He was obviously deliberately making things difficult, there was no need to go to this extent.

Xiao Zhao sneered and put down the box. “Hehe, you can look at whatever is inside.”

The box was full of miscellaneous items, which was clear at a glance. Zhang Lu casually flipped through, clapped his hands and said, “All right, you may leave now.”

After Xiao Zhao left, Zhang Lu went on to say, “This week’s tasks are going to be a bit heavy, but after three months of newly recruited content designers, three content designers are already in place. The older employees can help them get a hang of the job. After they get used to it, work will be much easier. “

Except for a few new employees, no one responded.

Hands on waist, Zhang Lu stood in the silence for a few minutes, turned around and went back to his office.

After he had graduated with his master’s degree, he hadn’t found a good job. Thus, he had discussed with his uncle to help the other party to manage this small company.

He had promised to triple the income under his own management, and now it was flourishing in all aspects.

On this day, the atmosphere in the office was very down.

For this new employee, before they were officially hired, the copywriter’s salary was only three thousand and the content designer’s four thousand.

With such salaries, the people recruited basically have little work experience.

It was not that easy to guide new people.

When someone does a product framework copywriter for the first time, they almost have to be taught by hand.

Designers are the same, there are many things to note.

Ye Yuqing was not only able to do copywriting, but also to use it with software. She had the nicest temper, and was surrounded by questions all day.

She originally planned to work less in the morning, so she could try her hand at sketching a couple of strokes, but until five o’clock in the afternoon, her head was all over the place.

Those two college students were not as proficient in designing with software shortcuts as her.

Five minutes before the end of the shift, Zhang Lu came out of his small office again.

“I hope you all hold on, if you can work overtime for two hours just to finish it, try to finish it before you leave, and today’s work is done.”

“You can work overtime on weekends. Overtime pay is based on the usual salary subsidy. No one can ask for leave.” After such a speech, he looked at Ye Yuqing and called out “Xiaoye, especially you, do you have time to come on weekends?”

Ye Yuqing “…probably not, I have other arrangements for the weekend.”

“You find a way to overcome this yourself. After this busy period, I will raise the salary for everyone.”

This time the whole office exploded with cheers.

A pool of salted fish, suddenly a fool came and threw a torpedo into it.

Was the meaning in these words to make them work 996?

[TL/N:The 996 working hour system is a work schedule commonly practiced by some companies in the People’s Republic of China. It derives its name from its requirement that employees work from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 6 days per week; i.e. 72 hours per week.]

If you want us to work for 996, who will stay in this company?

This company’s salary was not high, and people stayed here because they usually got off work on time, had double weekends, and the work schedule was not tight.

But now it’s going to be different.

Everyone used to have a couple of sets of work a week, but now it’s one set a day, and the workload simply doubled.

If it really came to that point, the money in place to make them work overtime could be expected.

But obviously not, and the increase in salary would not be doubled.

During the lunch break, colleagues who were usually close to each other are discussing this matter.

“Have you heard that Xiao Zhao was deducted two thousand yuan for walking out?”

“Well, Zhang Lu said that he should apply for resignation one and a half months in advance, otherwise he must bear the losses caused by the company’s personnel changes…”

“So. Xiao Zhang’s pay previous months were also deducted.”

Ye Yuqing was hesitating to resign for the past two days, and after listening to the talks, she panicked.

At least a month and a half in advance to leave? The most recent also required her to work overtime every weekend. Then her drawing would have to be left out!

Definitely not!

But after she proposed to resign, would they really deduct half a month’s salary or not?

Although it was only two thousand yuan, it was still her hard worked money.

Ye Yuqing turned her head and looked at Lu Jie.

Thinking about the day she was in the hallway, she heard the other party talking on the phone and said she would definitely get her full salary before she resigned.

Lu Jie was an old employee, and she proposed to resign this Monday, given a week to complete the handover.

But Ye Yuqing could be sure that the other party had a way to get her money full.

She hesitated.

If she went to Lu Jie and asked about it, would the other party tell her about it?

Obviously impossible.

Ye Yuqing took a long sigh, but she was not good at arguing with others.

At the time, a friend said that she couldn’t paint at home all day long, and that she had to go out to work and be beaten by society to realize the sinister side of it.

But when she went to work, the office had a happy atmosphere, yet she didn’t feel it, so the “beating” was about to happen here.

She sighed on the table, and what if Zhang Lu said outright that it would not be possible? Then, what should she do?

Apply for labor arbitration? But it was a lot of trouble, and it took more than half a year before it was scheduled.

She really wanted to resign and leave immediately.

Ye Yuqing couldn’t think of a good way, so she took out her phone and sent a message to Xia Ying, asking for her opinion.

The other party was well established in her workplace, so she might have a solution.

Half an hour later, Xia Ying replied, saying that the most important thing in the workplace was to have a sweet mouth but a tough heart to do everything steadily.

–You try to cross that supervisor, go to your boss to talk, play the emotional card, say you have an urgent matter to leave the city.

Ye Yuqing looked at the message and was stunned.

Her boss was a 40-year-old man who owned many companies, so he seldom came over during the week.

Although the other party was not exactly generous, but he usually did not withhold wages, probably because in doing so, the serving employees definitely had strong objections.

But after leaving…it’s hard to say.

Ye Yuqing opened WeChat.

The boss came over half a year ago and asked the company designer to make a website page for him. Ye Yuqing later helped to modify it.

So she added the boss’s WeChat then.

She clicked in the avatar, and scrolled through the other’s circle of friends.

Found that the boss was having a party at Puyue Hotel today!

It seemed that he would leave very late!
