CH 36.1

Li Che put down his Montblanc pen and tossed the documents he was holding on the coffee table next to him.

The cool light reflected off the lens on the bridge of his nose. He asked with a frown, “Do you have nothing to do?”

Harry felt his heart beat faster, but even though he was afraid, he also kept asking.

“Boss Li, are you in a hurry?”

“……”

Li Che’s impatience was written all over his face, “There aren’t many decent people around. Don’t do anything stupid.”

Harry was not quite swayed by his statement.

“No,” he said, touching his chin, “You have to realize that everyone has flaws. Overlook those minor flaws and you’ll see that at least they’re generally enthusiastic and ambitious young people!”#pleasereadthischapteratfoxaholic.com

Li Che replied, “Not necessarily.”

Harry was still unconvinced. He began citing examples, smiling as he said, “Colin is such a great guy, isn’t he? He established his own firm which seems to be rather successful.”

“Get lost,” Li Che sneered, his face contorted with disdain, “Take 50 million from his family and lose 30 million in two years. Is there something wrong with your brain?”

“Ah, that Zhao Kui is very good, both in education and looks. They would be a perfect match.”

“His parents invested money in his university, so how could he be intelligent if his parents are like that?”

“……”

You already insulted him, is insulting his parents, too, really necessary?

Harry racked his brain for ideas until suddenly, there was as if a light bulb that appeared above his head. “That’s right! Jason! He looks neat and handsome — and he’s hardworking, too! He’s the one, boss!”

Li Che’s eyes widened as he heard the name ‘Jason’.

By an odd coincidence, Ye Yuqing continued to believe Jason.

He didn’t explain it at first because he assumed he would never see her again.

Li Che considered it for a moment. He didn’t want Ye Yuqing to know about him.

Just because they’re the same age doesn’t mean they’re compatible.

“No, the people around him are too complicated.”

Since she’s too kind, it’s best if she’s with a straightforward man, so that she wouldn’t be deceived.

Harry: “……”

You look like you aren’t just marrying a daughter off, you’re also picking a son-in-law.

After all, who can think better than you? Is it possible for someone to think more complicatedly than you?

The candidates I suggested are pure lads compared to you!

You also have the nerve to insult random people!

However, Harry didn’t dare to voice his thoughts out.

After all, he’s still too young to die.

The only thing Harry could do was assert.

“Then, since none of them are good enough, you have to take care of them on your own. So why don’t you work a little more?”

He and Li Che were high school classmates, but their friendship was limited to mere acquaintances when they were studying.

Harry’s mother is Chinese, while his father works for a multinational corporation based in China.

His school was a private high school with tight admittance procedures, and Li Che transferred halfway through.

At the time, the school administration began to aid impoverished pupils for two reasons — making this elite school more down-to-earth and people-friendly.

That presented an opportunity for Li Che to enroll.

He stood out from the rest of the candidates. He was one of the top three students in the year on his first exam after transferring to the school.

Having good grades and a handsome face, Li Che was a big hit with the girls.

He actually didn’t have any trouble at all as a transferee.

Later, Harry discovered that Li Che attended classes during the day and worked at the bar at night. He was so taken aback that it made him speechless.

He thought, how could he put in this much effort and still end up in the top three of his school?

A person’s IQ can sometimes be so different from another person’s that it would seem like they come from different species.

He was hurt.

Harry had noticed that Li Che had ear holes before this, nevertheless, he was surprised to find him wearing earrings.

Li Che has an outstanding jawline, thick brows, and a straight nose.

He also had fair skin. There’s something really enticing about his eyes and delicate features.

Because of this, he was able to make a lot of money by selling wine despite his young age.

Harry couldn’t help but scold him harshly in his heart.

Damn goblin!

After graduating from high school, the two went to England at the same time.

Harry went to art school, whereas Li Che attended Oxford. They didn’t have much interaction at first.

Until Harry had an internship at the luxury brand clothing department, where he ended up getting promoted by accident, and the series he created became extremely popular. Li Che approached him and stated that they should collaborate to establish their own brand and make money.

Harry was moved by what he said, but he found it difficult to put his words into action. He had not expected that Li Che would be the one to fix all of his concerns.

All kinds of joints were no problem for him. He was able to give a few amounts of shares and secure a substantial investment.

Li Che was a social butterfly when they were in university. He’s also very good at playing Erhua.

Every time there was an important exchange meeting, overseas Chinese representatives, or school Chinese gatherings, they would like to ask him to play a part.

‘The Moon Reflected In Er-Quan’ shocked the audience.

With his good grades and good looks, along with a very cold Chinese instrument, Li Che got to expand his network and meet many foreigners of no lesser status.#pleasereadthischapteratfoxaholic.com

Harry sighed. Boss Li is good-looking and his personality is amazing.

""

He appeared to be kind and compassionate on the outside, but when challenged, he’d get as cold as ice, shutting people out.

Many people desired him. After all, powerful Erhua beauty is rare.

They desired him not because they wanted to own him, but because they wanted to be owned by him.

People who wanted a relationship with him at that time could stand on the red carpet of Paris Fashion Week.

As long as Li Che nodded, he didn’t have to change his attitude. He was already so cold yet honorable that people lined up to pay him to contact them.

He could’ve earned lots of money.

However, that’s impossible because Li Che was ill.

As in, literally ill, not just figuratively.

He despised not only women, but also men. He hated being close to others in general.

When the brand initially expanded internationally, a celebration banquet was conducted following the launch of a new product.

Li Che smiled and shook hands with the congratulatory guests very politely.

Meanwhile, Harry noticed that every time he shook hands, he went to wash his hands fifteen minutes later. He also brought his own portable antiseptic hand sanitizer.

""

There were the only ones in the bathroom. Li Che had a calm face, as if it was a normal thing to do.

There have been wild bees and butterflies before, but it’s just that ‘I would rather die under a flower; I will still be amorous, even as a ghost,’ which didn’t work for Boss Li.

Harry assumed that Li Che would die alone when, unexpectedly, a female client came into the picture. They were quite devoted to each other.

He felt compelled to assist because he was delighted.

Harry looked expectant.

Li Che sneered at him, “Do you have nothing to do? If so, I’ll assign you some work.”
