Chapter 98 - 98 - Zombies Exist

Tian Ai's frown deepened even more. She peered at this young man in disgust. 'sister? Who is he trying to fool? This guy definitely must be sent by that disgusting Murong family. How did they find a look alike?' she pushed his chin up with her gun?

'No surgery scars... weird...'

From his chin down, the guy looked exactly like her. But his eyes were different. They were wide and innocent looking, exactly opposite to his character when he ruthlessly killed an innocent woman.

She was not innocent either. She had a fair share of her killings, but she had never seen a person kill someone with no expression on their face before. It was bone chilling.

'It's better to kill him before he kills me,'

Her trigger finger moved tightly.

"Wait, you still don't believe me, right? I will prove it to you. Please give me a chance," Yue whispered, holding the gun.

Tian Ai pulled it away from him, but all of a sudden she heard a strange crunching sound.

"Oh sorry.." Yue, let go of it.

Her gun's barrel was crushed with four finger prints deeply imprinted into them.

"What the hell are you?"

Yue looked at his hands in shock. "I don't know either. Is this super strength? But I did not have any powers when I got infected in the first place. Then why....." he clenched his hands and moved his finger slightly.

Tian Ai pulled back and placed a knife to his neck. "I don't care who you are but crossing me as your mistake,"

"Don't kill me. I am really your younger brother. I swear,"

"Prove it,"

"Wait," he reached for his pocket to his phone. He carefully held it to her. "I have proof here," he removed the phone case and inside was a family photo he carefully stored.

He removed it and held it to her. "This is your mother, and this is your father,"

Tian Ai leaned close, peering into the photo. The darkness did not help in her case. She could not see properly. She plucked it from him and held it close to the candle light.

A young cheerful face was seen and next to her was a grumpy looking middle aged man. Both of them were hugging a bubbly looking boy in their arms who was holding up a lollypop to the camera.

"That is me," Yue smiled at her. "hi sister. It was really hard to find you,"

Tian Ai peered at him without a word. 'definitely photoshopped.... definitely....but let's play along. Let's see what kind of tricks this guy has up his sleeves.'

She tossed the photo back and placed the knife in its sheath. "I didn't need for you to find me. leave me alone,"

"Wait, I came to take you back," Yue held the sleeve of her blue jacket shyly. "sister,"

"Stop calling me that. I am not your sister anymore and you are not my brother,"

Zou Yue froze. His heart hurt just from listening to her harsh words. His eyes started to fill up with unshed tears. "I am your brother.. you are my sister,"

Tian Ai frowned. "you are a man, stop crying,"

"I can cry when I want to.. and you are my sister," he clung to her ram. "Don't deny that..." he sobbed, rubbing his head on her arm.

Tian Ai flinched back a little. To be honest, she could see the resemblance between the mum and this kid. They both looked almost similar to her. Besides, when she was looking at this kid's face, he did not have any surgical scars. The face was most likely natural.

It was undeniable that he was her brother, but she not ready to be a family with him.

'So I refuse to believe this. I simply refuse to until you will also give up on me and leave,'

If he had found her, at least a few years ago, she would have readily accepted him. But now she learned to live alone without anyone. She did not need them.

"Tian Ai~"

"ew stop rubbing snot on me, she pushed his head away.

"Please accept me. I am your brother,"

"Fine, stop it." she pushed him away and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?" he held her hand anxiously.

"to clean up that corpse. Do you think the police will look at you nicely, knowing that you killed her like that? I will clean it up. Just leave," she waved him off. Her eyes subtly followed him. 'What will he do? Will he leave dumping his trash to me? Let's see,'

"aww... you do like me," Yue hugged her arms. "But you don't need to do that. That person was already dead before I kind of dismembered them."

Tian Ai raised her brow. 'a total psychopath....'

"you really must be my brother. Look at you being so cold blooded." She removed her hand from his grip.

"no I am serious. That was a zombie. I did not kill a living person.It was a zombie. Tian Ai I have so much I want to discuss." He said, wiping his nose with his sleeve.

She looked at his dirty sleeve with a cringe. "use a tissue."

"I will I will but listen to me..."

Suddenly, there was a deep grunt in the hallway.

Yue froze. "shh. Listen to me. When I tell you to run, just run got it. he pulled her behind, facing the door.

The door fell down easily with just a small weight put on it. Three zombies peered in, sniffing with their heads held high.

Yue glanced at Tian Ai and gestured her to be silent. He pulled out his sister's dagger and slowly walked close to the zombie.

Suddenly, the two zombies up front frantically ran at him.

He tackled it to the ground and stabbed its head.

Another one pounced on him from behind.

He pushed it off him. The zombie rolled over to Tian Ai's feet and tore into her skin.

"No, no....!" he pulled it off his sister and stabbed it right in between its eyes.

"run! Just run!!!"

Tian Ai just looked at the remaining zombie with a scowl. With one hand, she pulled the zombie's right arm and tackled it to the ground. Sitting on it she pinned it down with its back facing her. She swiftly pulled at its neck, snapping it off completely.

"ew what.." she tossed the severed head off, wiping the gooey stiff off her hands on the bed sheets next to her. "That was not human like,"

"Cuz they are zombies!"

Zou Yue glanced at her bleeding shin with his mouth wide open..

"And... y—you might become one soon...."
