Chapter 129 - 129 - Medical Supplies Part 2

This time, the man did not play around. He led him in the direction of the meeting rooms.

This whole place was just a huge circle with a telescope right in the middle. Most people slept on the floor itself while some privileged got to sleep in the meeting rooms.

Most of their food stocks were also stored there.

The man stopped near the last meeting room at the end of the corridor. "It's here." he held up the keys and opened it.

Yue pulled him in and swiftly glanced around. In the darkness, he could make out shelves after shelves.

"Turn on the light,"

The man pulled his flashlight from his waist and lit it up. "We are low on medicine. Our village was small after all."

Yue just ignored his nonsense talk and pulled the medicine boxes down. All the while, he kept his gun pointed at him.

He tore open the box.

The suture needles were right up front.

He swiftly picked it out. As for the other medicines, he could find almost all of them.

Zou Yue glanced at the shelves. There were four identical boxes like this stored on the top shelf.

He took another one of the boxes to take home.

"If you surrender to our boss, they won't treat you coldly. Just saying our boss likes...." the man shook his head.

"Shut up you," he simply shot him in the mouth. His lifeless corpse crumbled to the ground.

But Yue was least bothered. He picked up the medicine box and other things he needed and walked out.

He did not go to the exit per se. Instead, he detoured to the other meeting rooms. The faceless man did not say it, but he could hear all the girls crying in there.

This was most likely the place where they kept all the women imprisoned.

He stealthily broke the door handle and walked in.

The sight inside broke his heart. Women were shoved inside dog cages naked as the day they were born.

Most cowered in the corner as soon as he entered the room.

Yue panted softly. "I... I can free them but then what... how can they survive?' in that moment he realised that he could not save everyone.

He went around unlocking the cages.

The women looked up with tears in their eyes.

"I can only free you all... run when you get the chance. Zombies are heading this way. The bad men will pay."

Speaking his mind, he subtly left the room.

Some women were brave enough to follow after him, but some still remained in their cages.

He slowly walked to the back door of this place.

Right then, a loud commotion started.

"Z-zombies! They are here! They found us!" the men started to panic as they ran around like headless chicken.

Only a few remained stoic through all this mess.

Yue noted their faces. He could make out their eyes or mouth, but he could see their bodies clearly. One of them had a bandage on his right arm.

He paused, peering intently at him.

As if feeling his gaze, that tall man looked at him. His facial featured melted away, leaving behind a faceless head.

"It's you... you hurt her," Yue directly walked towards him.

The man stumbled back and started to run away.

Yue ran after him when he was close enough. He yanked him back his shirt and pulled him down.

In the commotion outside, no one cared what happened to others. They just frantically tried running away through the back door.

"Please.... please don't... I was ordered to.. It was not my intensions." The faceless man begged him.

"You hurt my sister," he coldly repeated, stabbing his stomach.

The man wailed loudly.

Yue stabbed him once again in his legs. "You were just listening to orders. It's okay. I am just listening to my instincts...." he pulled his dagger out and smeared it on his clothes.

Right at that time, the zombies broke through the front door of the observatory.

"At least you will become a meal for someone. Truth be told, you don't deserve to die peacefully," Yue left him on the ground and ran out.

The zombies cowed down on any human they could find.

Yue rushed out and down the hill.

Only after getting further away from that wretched place did his sense returned. He could see the human features of the zombies who were roaming around.

A silent tear rolled down.

Somehow, a part of his humanity died.

So did his sense of kindness in sparing their lives.

To him, everyone who hurts his closest ones was faceless monsters.

Yue wiped the blood off his hands and swiftly climbed down.

In the darkness, he could not see very well. In the process, he lost one of his shoes. The sharp rocks stabbed his foot with every step.

His beautiful feet left behind bloody footprints as he climbed down.

At the same time below the mountain, Lui heard a small clanking sound of the soda cans.

She instantly woke up Juda, and they both had their guns ready.

Lui dashed to the window and peered out. There a goat chewing on the rope they had tied.

She let out a deep breath. "false alarm..."

Juda sighed loudly. "I hope Yue is safe...."

"Aren't you scared...." Lui whispered ever so softly.

"Of what?"

"Of Yue... you saw what he did. He.... he just smashed them like pumpkins..." she trembled slightly.

"He killed bad men. I don't think he is wrong." Juda whispered, patting her back reassuringly. "But I believe he must be traumatised a little. His dazed eyes looked like he could not focus on anything. He was just killing by instinct,"

"That sounds super bad,"

"It's not a bad thing, considering the new world we live in. Buts it's bad for his mental health. If it were normal times, I would have suggested a psychiatrist for him..." Juda mumbled gently, cleaning Tian's sound.

It was deep, but the blood had stopped. This was a great sign. It only means those major blood vessels were not damaged by the crash.

"We need to prep for suture. I hope Yue gets here soon. I'll share the good news with him,"

Suddenly, a loud sound startled them.

The wooden door was smashed and three humans stood there with a threatening glare.

"Look what the wind brought us, boys. Three bunnies..."

Lui swiftly held her guns up. "Stay back or I will shoot,"

"Oh, so scary.." the middle-aged man walked in. "did that girl get bit? Oh, that's so sad. She looks very pretty,

"I said stay back!" Lui shot at the ground.

The men's faces changed.

"It's fully loaded and I am very capable of shooting you all. If you don't leave right this instance,"

The men peered at her but suddenly started to laugh out loud.

"hahaha.... she will shoot us, it seems. Hahah.. look at her trembling hands."

Lui steadied her hands. The desired effect was already lost. The fear she wanted to instil in them turned into mockery.

Suddenly, one of the men shouted and collapsed. He was holding his bleeding shoulders with a look of surprise.

Even Lui was surprised because.... she did not shoot him.

Juda stood there with a cold look on her face. "I don't talk and waste of time. Every second you are here, I will shoot your vital parts. Neck, shoulder head..."

The men scrambled out in fear.

Even so, Juda shot each of them below their knees.

"J-Juda...."

"hmm...' she innocently looked up at her. "What is it?"

"You... never mind. That was super cool,"

"No it was not. Yue is much cooler. I hate to admit but she is amazing too," she sat next to Tian gently caressing her sweat face. "She looks cool when she shoots. Look at the calluses on her hand." she opened Tian's palm and showed the badly bruised palm. "She is used to holding a weapon. Sigh.... Tian might not have had a normal life as we did,"

Lui sat there guarding at the broken door. "What do you think she did for a living?"

"I overheard her saying something about training....she must have been in military or some black ops,"

"No way, I bet she was a secret assassin." Lui chuckled.

"Not possible. She is too sweet to be an assassin." Juda mumbled, pinching Tian's pale cheeks.

"Sweet? You are still talking about her, right?"

"Yep, she tried her best to hide it but she super sweet and kind...."

"Whatever you say, girl, whatever you say..."

A dark figure suddenly came close to the door.

"Stop!" Lui stood up with her gun raised.

"It's me." Yue mumbled softly. His torso was fully covered in blood. "I got the medicines..."

"Great, I'll start the surgery!" Juda took the things from him and ran to the bed. "She is stable now. Her wound stopped bleeding. It's just simply stitching her up."

"That's great..." Yue let out a huge sigh of relief. Suddenly, he noticed the broken door. "What happened to this place?"

"Few men came around, but Juda scared them away,"

"Juda did?"

"Yes I did, can both of you come and help me out. Go wash your hand thoroughly first and wear the gloves."

"Yes ma'am," they both scurried to the bathroom washing their hands clean.
