Chapter 140 - 140 - Sister

Zou Wei was the first to come running. He had Hary had been scratching their heads trying to seal the hole in the temper glass right above the garden area. They did not have any replacing glass and duct tape did not hold for long.

Hary wiped his sweat away as he plopped on one of the chairs. "I'm starving. Misses Zou,"

"It's Nui to you, kid," Zou Nui gently patted his head. "Eat all you want. You have been working so hard for days now,"

"Hmm..." he pitifully pouted. "Two fridges above need replacement parts. I'm not sure where we can source them. Only three are functioning. It can't hold fresh meat for long. And one of the solar panels has malfunctioned as well...." he sighed loudly, taking a big bite out of the crispy sweet and sour chicken.

Right then, Yue and Tian walked out the room and joined them.

Tian sat next to Hary and Yue sat to her right.

Juda and Lui, who were setting the table, sat down as well.

Yue smiled at Juda, who was to her right, and glanced at his sister, who was to his left.

Tian silently picked up her chopsticks and began her meal.

His mother's anticipating eyes fell on her, waiting for any small reactions like grimace or scowl, but Tian ate expressionlessly.

"Is it good?" Yue whispered close to her.

Tian nodded with shimmering eyes.

Only after hearing this did Zou Nui's racing heart calm down. "Eat well, my dear. You guys must have suffered a lot out there,"

Lui nodded with a pitiful smile. "We had to eat rice with furikake every day.... sigh... I think my taste buds have died off by now,"

"Mine too," Juda stuffed her face with the fresh salad and ate her rice.

"Why aren't you eating chicken?" Nui held out the plate to her.

"No, I don't want to eat meat any longer," she glanced back at Bakbak, who was running around followed by the cute little quails.

"Oh they can eat chicken right....." Right then Zou Wei tossed a piece at Bakbak.

Juda's eyes went wide. She glanced at Mister Wei in complete shock.

"What? Chickens are omnivorous." he nonchalantly said.

"But that is cannibalism," she ran to Bakbak, but before she could stop it. Bakbak gobbled down the chicken. The little quails also surrounded it, waiting for a piece as well.

"Oh my god.... seriously.... no feeding chicken for the chicken,"

"I never said that was a chicken," Zou Wei opened his clenched palm to show to a piece of green lettuce.

Juda pouted and came back to the table. "Mister Zou, you are mean..."

Zou Wei secretly smiled as he glanced across the table. His son was dazedly eating his food.

He nudged his wife next to him. "Is he upset?" he ever so softly whispered.

Zou Nui nodded. "He is worried about Fan ah,"

"It's that bloody guy again. Such a troublesome person,"

Nui pinched his thighs. "He is a good boy. Don't cuss him out,"

Yue sighed once again, chewing on the salad with a sad look.

Suddenly, a piece of fried chicken appeared in his bowl.

The chopsticks moved away so fast that he was not even able to catch its shadow.

He looked to his left. Tian acted casual as she ate her food. She gestured to his bowl and then to his mouth.

'Aw, she is so cute....' he smiled softly at her caring gesture. "I like you so much,"

She choked hard. "Eat your food darn it."

"hmm...." he took the piece of chicken and ate it with relish.

To his right, he heard a subtle sound of teeth grinding. He glanced at Juda questionably.

She was biting into her chopsticks, glaring at a certain someone.

'Who is she looking at?'

Following her eyes, he saw Tian, who placed a piece of chicken in Hary's bowl subtly.

'Hey.... what is going on? Why is she giving it to him?' he too bit into his chopstick, burning with jealousy.

Noticing their furious gaze, Hary looked their way. "W-why are you both glaring at me?"

Yue chomped on his spoon. "She is my sister...."

"So?" he tilted his head, looking extremely confused.

"I don't approve,"

"Oh?... ohhhhh I think you misunderstood something. Tian is like my sister ah."

"What now?"

"She is like a sister," he patted her head and Tian actually let him place a hand on her.

'TIAN LET HIM TOUCH HER!!!'

Yue was more than startled. Containing his jealousy, he glanced at them both. "Y-you both know each other?"

Tian nodded. "We grew up together. We even own the orphanage together,"

"Wait.. What?"

"We are from the same orphanage," Hary smirked.

Yue shot up. "I…. why didn't you tell me you knew Tian!"

Back when he visited the Murong's house, Hary had accompanied him. Yue even shared to him about his sister, but this guy actually hid so much for him.

Hary just smirked. "Why would I tell a perfect stranger about my darling sister's whereabouts'?"

"What?! She is my sister!!"

"She is my sister first," he just gave him a wide smirk. "When uncle Cai started to search Tian, I got the news instantly. I volunteered to accompany you. At the moment I met you I knew you were Tian's sibling."

Yue ran to him and grabbed him by his collar. "You tricked me!"

This guy acted so innocent and pure that he actually let him into his family! Who knew what kind of intent this guy held to come here…

"How did I trick you, huh?"

"I let you into my family…"

"It was an unexpected offer. I did not expect you to give me the golden opportunity to come here and observe them personally," he stood up, pulling his hands off his collar.

The shirt tore from the tightness of Yue's grip.

"Why did you come here?! To take her back?! I won't let you... She is my sister! She is MY sister!!!!"

"I did not come here for that,"

"Then for what!"

He sighed loudly. "I needed to know what kind of family was heartless enough to throw Tian away….."

Yue froze. Through his buzzing ears, he could hear his mother's sobs.

"enough…" Tian held his arm.

Hary shrugged it off. "You guys did not want her but all of a sudden you guys want to be all chummy?…. so I came here to take a look…"

Yue stumbled back.

Hary's serious face suddenly changed into a smiling one. He pulled him forward by his waist and gently caressed his face.

"Hary! enough!!! Let go of him!" Tian gripped his arms tightly.

"It was Tian's decision to come here. Plus… I approve of your family. They genuinely care for you both. So don't cry," he worriedly wiped away the tears from the corner of his eye.

Yue pushed his hands away, glancing at Tian. "You lied to me..."

"I need some time…"

He ran to his room, slamming the door behind him.
