Chapter 155 - 155 - Those Honey Coloured Eyes

Hundreds of zombies on that floor chased after them.

Hanging on Yue's shoulders, Fan Xui calmly looked back. The ones running behind them tried to grab onto him. He just simply froze its arm. The frozen part just shattered into dust.

While going through this entire ordeal, he had only one through running through his mind. 'why are they so weak?'

Even the weaker ones are usually a level three, but none of the zombies here seem to have advanced.

They were all basic level zombie without any abilities.

'This is weird. What place is this? Why is the infection so infective here?' he shook his head.

All of a sudden his head banged into flesh. Fan Xui tightly closed his eyes with a slight flush. He tried his best not to look, but this person's ass was right in front of his face. It was not very easy to avoid.

'I can't believe this person is a guy...'

Previously, when they were near that elevator, he inadvertently touched this person's intimate parts. It was not intentional, but his hand kind of touched him there.

'He looks like a girl. Wait a minute, Qian's killer, Was it some other girl or this one?'

"Fan Xui, I'm sorry it's a rough ride. But I promise I will keep you safe," the guy whispered softly.

Fan Xui listened keenly. This guy's voice was very low and smooth while Qian's killer's voice had a very high note, plus it was hoarse.

'Am I wrong? This guy didn't kill Qian?'

The zombies behind him roared loudly once again, reaching for him.

Before he could use his ability, that guy turned over and slashed it with his sharp sword. His move was clean and precise, that not much blood splattered on him.

'This guy is an expert. If he had wanted to, he could have killed me long back. What is his real purpose approaching me as a woman?'

His mind was roaming all over, thinking of a viable reason for this person's action.

On the other hand, Yue was thinking about how they were going to live. The corridor was slightly less occupied, but the zombies here were much more ferocious. They seem more starved and aggressive in nature.

A small intersection came up front. His keen eyes noticed a steel door to their left. He ran into the room, gingerly closed the door, and locked it.

The room was dark on the inside. He vigilantly looked around. There were no zombies in here. It seemed like a cold storage room with racks of towel, tissues, gloves, syringes and other medicines.

Yue carefully placed Fan Xui on a chair nearby. "Are you okay? Are you feeling sick? is your stomach hurting? I know it was not comfortable on my bony shoulders. But I hope you forgive me..." he looked up at him hopefully.

Fan Xui refused to look his way.

"oh-kay.... I'll collect some of the medicines," Yue awkwardly smiled at him and walked further into the room.

Fan Xui looked at his retreating back and then at the room with a slight frown. 'How come so much medicine is still unclaimed? It doesn't even look that dusty. Someone must have maintained it....'

The racks in here were filled to the brim with supplies. These could really help the settlement. Healers are rare and only have a limited amount of powers. They won't be able to heal everyone.

Plus, there existed few people who remain powerless like Qian's dad. They could really use the medicines here.

He watched the young man check the labels and bag the vials of medicine.

"It's a treasure chest..." Yue mumbled, placing everything he could in his bag. He took two vials of everything in here. He was not a doctor of course, so he had no clue what these were used for, but Juda could.

Humming softly, he closed the fully filled bag. His stomach started to growl loudly.

"It's time for lunch." He pulled out the cup noodles from the inside and adjusted all the things back in. He did carry a foldable stove that ran on gas, but the only problem is.... he did not have a lighter.

Tian was supposed to be the one who lit this up, but sadly they were separated.

"Looks like we might have to eat it raw," Yue placed the cup noodles back inside the bag and took out two packets of noodles. He crushed them up and placed one on Fan Xui's lap. "Oh, I forgot you can't move..." he took it back.

Fan Xui plucked it out of his hands.

"You can move your hands... that's great...." Yue excitedly moved closer. "How is it? Are you able to move your legs as well?"

"No," Fan Xui calmly opened the packet and crunched on the raw noodles loudly. Suddenly, he felt a soft touch on his feet. "What are you doing?"

"Massaging your leg. I heard it helps," he whispered softly, pinching the bottom of his feet.

Fan Xui flinched back, but that guy caught his legs and continued massaging his shin. To be honest, the massage felt really good. He could move that leg a bit.

"Feeling better?" he smiled at him innocently.

Fan Xui froze. Those smiling eyes, He had definitely seen that before. 'But where?'

He grabbed his face with both hands and pulled him close.

"Whoa..." The young man's face turned a bright shade of pink.

He placed his palm over his nose, covering his face. Only his honey coloured eyes stood out. They felt so warm and..... very soothing to look at.

"Have I seen you before?"

"You have..." he gently held his hand and placed it on his cheeks. "we know each other,"

Fan Xui once again closed his face and looked deeply into his eyes. 'They don't look like Qian's killer's eyes. She had sharp, upturned eyes. But this guy had wide almond eyes. Similar to my stalker....'

'But he had a scar, and he is tanned.'

He leaned back and gave him another glance.

'Wait, a minute.... was he actually tanned or was it something else?' He had often seen that person wipe something on his skin while he was peeking out the window. It is likely possible that he was applying makeup to hide his flawless skin.

Being beautiful in an apocalypse is very dangerous indeed. You will never be safe, from the zombies as well as from the humans.

'Maybe that's why he chose to imitate a scar and paint his skin.'

"Fan Xui?" he cutely blinked at him.

Fan softly touched his supple cheeks. 'He is my stalker!! god I really missed those eyes,'

"Where were you all those days? I was waiting for you."

The young man scooted close, holding his hands tightly. "Do you remember my voice? Do you? Do you?"

Fan Xui refused to answer; rather, he gently caressed his cheeks.

Zou Yue's heart started to pound so loud that he forgot what he was about to say. He dazedly looked up into his deep, dark eyes.

A thumb gently passed over his bottom lip, touching his teeth a bit.

His breath hitched.

Sounds of loud footsteps and siren outside the door snapped him out of his hypnotized state.

"Ahem.... lunch.." he took his own noodles and ate it with relish. Even without the flavouring packet, it tasted pretty good.

He took the small flavouring packet and carefully stored I in the side pocket of his bag. It could be later cooked as a soup.

Fan also handed him his.

"We don't have much ammo left. My sister can deal with a few, but her ability is limited. My strength is no use when it comes to long distance fighting,"

"Strength?"

"hmm... it's my ability. Everyone that survived the virus has an ability or two. Even the zombies will have abilities soon, I guess..."

Fan Xui slightly closed his eyes, contemplating the meaning of those words. His stalker Zou Yue did not have strength ability rather, he was a speed class. It was a useless power during those times, but the young man seemed to be okay surviving using it.

'Was the report wrong? Or did he hide his secondary power? It's highly likely.'

"I have a plan. We can reach the fifteenth floor and by the sky bridge we can go to the nearby building. This building will soon get swarmed by the zombies from top to bottom." his eyes seemed to shimmer bright as he talked about his game plan.

He gently caressed his soft hair. "Where are we?"

"Twentieth floor. We might have to use the other emergency stairwell. I hope they are not crowded as well..."

"no, where are we?" he had every building plan memorized and by heart. He could, of course, help the young man.

"G city hospital and research centre."

Fan Xui froze for a second. "I didn't get you... where are we?..."

"G city hospital and research centre." He repeated with a sigh. "We can try another elevator shaft, but it's hard to guess the floor when we are just sliding down the rope,"

Fan Xui was already dazed over in shock. He maintained a calm, demure outside, but inside he was panicking hard. The G city hospital this young man was talking about no longer existed.

During the initial outbreak, Qian Wen got caught up in his work and was stuck in that hospital.

So he had to go along with the rescue to team to bring him back safely. He was not able to see much, but with his thunder and electric ability, he could assess the structure of anything and everything in his path with just a touch.

But accidentally one of the rescue team triggered the fire alarm. The whole zombie population nearby that building started to swarm in.

It was a bloodbath. He lost a lot of soldiers that day.

After they escaped, that whole building was bombed to the ground, reducing the city's zombie population.

In complete disbelief, Fan Xui glanced around. Even the hospital gown he was wearing had that name printed in bold letters.

"When did this start? All these crazy things..." he whispered ever so softly.

"A month ago. It's not going to get any better..." the young man whispered, crunching loudly on the noodles.

There was no hiding it.

He did not survive that flame blast rather, he died..

And was reborn in an alternate reality.
