Chapter 191 - 191 - Punishing The Black Sheep - Part 1

"Wait uncle, you have to call all the generals. We need to have an open discussion about this matter or else they will question the legitimacy of our punishment.." Yue added.

Uncle Wen nodded with a thoughtful look on his face "you are right..." he called up a young soldier and ordered to him summon all the generals here.

"Oh, and can you call Hary and his team as well?"

Fan Xui gave him a weird look.

"I have a plan," Yue mumbled softly.

"I see..." Fan Xui stood up walked over to uncle Wen. "Do you have a reports of all the generals here? I would like to read up on them."

Uncle Wen looked at him curiously. "It's on the back shelf. Help yourself,"

While they waited for the generals to assemble Fan Xui read through the files so intensely.

Yue just peered at him with a hand on his chin. 'How can a person who was blind for so long read so well after waking up? it doesn't make any sense.. Maybe Fan Xui know how to read before the accident.... don't doubt him Yue....' he warned himself.

Looking away he caught the gaze of his uncle who was looking at him with a brow raised. "you seem to adore him.." he whispered softly.

"Ah... yes... he is a good person.." Yue mumbled fidgeting with his finger. he could most definitely feel his heated cheeks but there was no use hiding it now. His uncle already knew everything about it.

"hmm...."

Right then the door opened and Hary walked in briskly with his assigned soldiers. "you called for me?"

"Hary.." Yue waved at him.

Hary just smiled brightly. "Yue, how was your first day of work? Any difficulties? Any men I need to beat the shit out of?"

"nope, but I need you to do something else. I need you to go search general Kung's house along with the other generals as well."

Hary frowned deeply. "Why? Has he committed a crime?"

"I believe he might have. That's why we need concrete proof. Don't damage their property, just search thoroughly okay,"

Hary nodded with a bright smile. "okey dokey, seems like you have a plan coming along."

Yue did not explain his plan in detail. Because the soldiers behind Hary were still strangers to him, he did not want to reveal too much information.

"I'll get going then, Yue," he bowed to him. "Old man." He nodded to uncle Wen and left the room.

After they all cleared out of the room, uncle Wen cleared his throat loudly. "What is your plan kid?"

"It's simple really, those soldiers did not look like they lying when they said they received orders from General Kung. But I need to be sure that Kung is at fault before we could decide on his punishment. From the way, the soldiers acted there is a high possibility that it was not the first time they tried to kidnap or blackmail someone. There might be a few traces of the victims left behind in his house. We need that proof."

Fan Xui paused and glanced at him with a proud look on his face. "good strategy, but we will run into a problem. The general will try to deflect the problem from the soldiers to us. the mutated plant will become their next target probably," he sat down next to him. "How will you deal with that?"

"It's not that simple. I have to make sure that the general won't derail from the topic," Yue sighed. "Did I make a mistake by revealing my mutated plant?"

Fan Xui sighed. "It's done, there is no use regretting now. All we have to do is focus on the matter at hand. Mister Wen can you summon the soldiers we brought in. They need to testify."

Things were on the roll. They moved to a meeting room with a circular center table and chairs.

Now all they needed to do was to wait until the generals got here.

Soon enough an old man knocked on the door. He was short and stout but had a very straight posture. "May I come in sir?"

"Yes come in general Xi, have a seat. Lest wait until the rest get here,"' uncle Wen kindly welcomed him in.

The old man patted his back and cheerfully sat next to him. A few times he would cast a gaze at Qian's way.

"Your son is awfully silent today,"

Uncle Wen peered at Qian who just humped and refused to look his way. "he is sulking. Leave him be. Two days, he will come running back,"

"I won't.. I won't come running back," Qian said with a glare.

"Leave him be, how are things in your sector. The soldiers have been doing good?"

"We have a few soldiers who are exhibiting signs of awakening. Ten soldiers have already exhibited abilities. There is even one with water ability.... but things are not looking up Wen. If the water is contaminated as you say, we might need to find a way to purify it." the old general worriedly whispered.

Uncle Wen looked towards Qian's way. "you can solve this right?"

"I can! and I will, I don't need you to give me orders, old man," he grumbled.

Yue felt slightly awkward sitting there. Somehow he had a feeling that uncle Wen treated him kindly but treated his own son super harshly.

'I'm just imagining this right...'

He glanced at uncle Wen intently. He seems to be worriedly looking towards Qian now and then.

'I might be wrong.. I think he is just awkward that way. Maybe I should have a talk with uncle to help express himself more freely,'

Soon the generals entered the room one by one. five of them sat in the round table leaving a gap between them.

Yue was not sure which one was Kung but as he glanced around, he noticed an old man's eyes peering at him. It was not curiosity in his eyes, rather something disgusting. Yue felt like being looked at by a predator.

But he did not avert his gaze.

"We are all gathered here to discuss something very important. It's about rule-setting and rule-breaking,"

The atmosphere went stiff...

The general peered at him with various degrees of expression. Two of them, including general xi and general Guis did not show much but three of them started to sweat profusely.

'Ah, I can already note the black sheep in this gang. Three of them... this is bad....we did not even realize it but the control of this barrack was slowly slipping away from our hands'
