Chapter 244 - 244 - Following The Clues

Yue ran around. Most of the houses here were quite distant from each other.

There was a two floor house at least a few hundred meters away that had a clear visual of this alleyway.

He rushed to the first floor of this place and knocked on the door. "Anyone in there!"

There was a small sound of gasp and scuffling from in there.

"I know you are in there! please i'll give you food. I just need to ask you one thing. Did you see what happened in the alleyway? It was a friend of mine. Please tell me where they went."

He knocked on the door. "Please it's urgent!"

"l-leave. I don't have anything." A small hesitant voice whispered.

"I won't hurt you. Ill give you food. Ramen and anything you want just tel me if you saw anything what happened out there,"

During apocalypse, everyone lost network connection. phones stopped working and became as useless as bricks. People who were addicted to technology initially went though a setback. they were bored out of their minds. So usually they would watch out the window at the world that was rapidly changing.

Even he was in that stage once.

'I just hope this kid saw something.. please god. Please...'

"really...you'll give mem food?" a male voice hesitantly whispered.

"yes ill give you ten packets of ramen!"

"f-fifteen... I want fifteen.."

"deal! Please tell me what you saw," Yue literally begged him.

"I saw a three men. They beat up a girl and stabbed another...."

"the black haired girl, where did they take her? Can you tell me the direction?" Yue bit his lips when the other side remained silent.

"five more..."

"fuck I'll give, you ramen, just tell me!"

"okay.... the three men beat her unconscious but a fourth man appeared and took her. He took the main road and took a left."

"thank you," Yue ran out.

The door opened and a young teenage kid popped his head out. "my food!"

"Ill get you after I find her. I promice. Tank you so much. Stay in and don't open the door to strangers okay," Yue gestured for him to go on.

The young teenager who was wearing a high school uniform blushed softly. "you're a girl."

Yue did not bother to answer. He ran down the stairs and down to the road.

The dusty main road led to his house. If the kidnaper passed by there must be some traces there.

Yue backtracked the place he came from that led to his house. Lui's blood and footprints were still let behind along with their jeep tracks.

"Yue! Did you find anything?" Rai the soldier who came along with them Stood out his house with a gun in hand.

"no, ill search more. You guys stay guard here," Yue took the left street the teenager kid mentioned.

This road was very familer to him. It led to bohai's mother's place and the warehouse.

The nearby farms here were burned up.

'where did they take her...' he anxiously glanced around for clues.

Suddenly he noticed a small lock of black hair in the corner.

He ran to it and picked it up. the hair was silky smooth and there was blood near the roost as if someone ripped it off.

"Juda! She left clues!"

He followed the hair trail. The locks of hair were dropped in a corner of the road in each in a distance of twenty meters.

Yue hurriedly ran after the path left behind. It led him directly over to the warehouse door.

'why didn't I think of this place! it's easy to hide and no one actually uses it!'

He dashed in. After a while the hair trail was lost. He did not find anything here.

'shit this place has so many doors. If I make unnecessary sounds the kidnapper might take Juda and run away.'

The warehouse and four exist on each side of the building. If he made too much notable movements the kidnapped can easily escape his clutche with Juda.

'I have to be carful.. wait I can use fan's powers.'

Fan xui had the power to map out a place by sending a small electric current to the ground.

Yue knelt down and placed his hand on the cold floor. with his eyes close he focused his new powers that was coursing through his veins to his hands.

To his surplice, the powers did not react at all.

Yue looked at his palm in shock. 'is this the time limit!'

Tehy held hands by the barricade. It was just ten minutes form here. He had used the gills for more time than this.

'no it's not the time limit. This power feels different.

Unlike fan xuo's' electricity that forces it's way to his palm. This power that was in his veins was rushing over to his eyes.

His eyes balls hurt badly and the back of his head ached.

'what power is this?... who else did I touch.....' he peered at his bandaged hand. there was a small gap in the wrapping around his index finger.

'i... I touched Trexa when I handed her to Tian! It's traxa's powers!'

He looked up. his sight turned slightly hazy... a sudden shadow appeared in front of him.

Statled, he took out his sword and swung at this person.

But to his surprise his sword went through the shadow but it was still there.

'what...' he waved his hands through. It was like a mirage.

Tehe shadow looked about five foot five carrying another person over its shoulders.

'it's not a shadow! It's the past! I can see the past movements that happened at this very spot!!!'

This was the kidnapper and the one on his shoulders was Juda.

He never realised that trexa had such an amazing powers. Not only can she reverse time she can also watch the time in reverse.

He ran after the shadow. It led him to a specific warehouse at the end of the east corridor.

Inside he heard loud laughter and the sound of women crying.
