Just last night his other father railed him so much that his ass was on fire and now this kid really jumped on his tummy so much so it felt like he had broken ribs.

"Okay okay, I'm up," he pulled back the duvet and sat there tiredly. "do I have to get up this early?"

"it's almost afternoon," Zi Chen said with a bit of attitude mixed in. "come on now," he held his gloved hand and dragged him over to the bathroom. "Wash up and become beautiful again dad," he closed the door after him.

Yue sighed loudly and started to brush.

Finishing all his deeds, he walked out all fresh and chirpy. "Who's ready for an awesome day~"

"Me~ me~" Zi Chen happily ran to him and hugged his leg.

Yue kissed his forehead. "Did you have breakfast?"

"Dad 2 made instant noodles."

"Ah again," he sighed softly. Eating instant noodles in the morning will really upset the stomach. But he wasn't complaining. It was the end of the world and there was not much to eat healthy around here.

Weirdly so Fan Xui had been leaving early for work these days. He knew things were hectic.

Heck, they were living in an apocalypse but he didn't have to leave home without saying goodbye.

Fan could have woken him up when he was leaving at least.

Yue sighed. 'I'm going to give his ass a firm smacking..' he thought.

It was about ten in the morning and his child had breakfast just a few hours ago. He did not want to make anything too heavy.

He swiftly whipped up lettuce and fresh cheery tomato salad with the veggies his dad had given to him. He tossed in some everything bagel seasoning and mixed it well.

"Here," he packed it up in a small bowl and gave it to him.

Zi Chen cutely smiled at him and ate it cheerfully.

Yue sat next to him, watching him. it had been two years and this little kid had grown up so much. At the ripe age of three, he got to know what death was.. as time went on he became much more mature for his age.

He could not demand anything. He would eat anything he was given and he would never talk back. He was too well behaved.

It was concerning.

He gently caressed his soft, curly hair. "do you like it? do you want some candy with it/"

"no dad, I don't want any. This is more than enough,"

Yue kissed his small forehead.

He finished the salad and ate some more rice with it. Chen just ate a while ago so he did not want to overfeed him.

Yue swiftly walked into the kitchen and made a ready-made gravy mix with the leftover veggie scraps. Zi Chen did not like eating the lettuce stalks. He never openly said it but his slight expression change was a dead giveaway. So from then on he made sure to remove them.

They were completely edible though so he usually added these scraps into gravy cooked them well until they were mushy and indistinguishable.

he packed up three boxes of rice and gravy in a box. One was for Zi chne. He was a growing child and he would get hungry a lot. he made sure to have food in hand every time he was hungry.

The two others were for himself and Fan.

His lover really hated eating alone and would whine a lot. so he made a schedule to eat with him every afternoon.

"so mister Zi Chen what is our schedule for today,"

He sat up straight clearing his throat. "First, we are going to visit beauty granny at home, next grumpy grandpa at the farm, and chocolate grandpa at his office. Then we will go and visit our dad 2 at his office and give him his lunch. Later we can go and inspect the wall."

"Well scheduled," he nodded professionally.

"Thank you dad 1," he said with his chest all puffed up.

"aw my baby is so cute," Yue pulled him onto his lap kissing his cute little face. "I wish I had a camera to capture all these adorable moments,"

"What's a camera?" he blinked...

Yue paused. "Well camera is a device that can capture your image and print it out into a photo. It's pretty awesome. You know what, when we are going to the wall let's go check the market for one."

"yea~"

This kid did not know much about technology. None of the kids who grew up in the apocalypse knew about it. There were no official schools established yet so there was no way to teach them.

Zi Chen was being home schooled by him.

He tried his best to teach him everything he knew of.

"Come on then let's go meet beauty granny first,"

  Yue especially took his sword and made sure to take a gun as well. As for Zi Chen he has a small dagger for his safety. He knew it was not healthy to give a small child weapon but in case of any danger he wanted his child to be able to defend himself.

Fan and he had specially trained Zi Chen on how to use a gun and how to use a dagger. The young child was very talented and learned all this in a day's time.

"Dad come on~" he happily dragged him out.
