CH 60

Daiki went home and opened the front door.

“I’m home.”

He said awkwardly.

His mother and Tsukasa were waiting for him, as he had told them he would be home.

“Welcome home, Daiki!”

“Welcome home!”

They both greeted him happily.

So after taking a bath, the three of them sat down in the living room and ate dinner together.

Both his mother and Tsukasa were smiling as they ate.

They were in a good mood, which was something he had expected because of his father, but he had never expected them to be in such a good mood.

After finishing dinner and cleaning up, he felt too embarrassed to talk to his mother.

Then his mother said to him,

“You talked to your father, right?

How did it go?”

She came to him smiling.

“I talked to him.”

Daiki responded shyly.

“Will you tell me about it?”

His mother said happily.

“I’m sorry to have caused you so much worry.

Yesterday, when I heard about it from Dad, I didn’t think I had worried Mom and Tsukasa so much, and it made me realize that you really do love me.

I was really happy!

Thank you so much.”

His mother and Tsukasa-san were already sobbing.

For Tsukasa-san, he was sobbing with snot dripping down his nose.

Daiki was also confused, but he was happy.

He knew that he was crying because he was thinking about Daiki.

After he calmed down a little, Tsukasa said

“Daiki, I am really sorry for what I have done until now.

Even I knew that Daiki was overworking himself.

But somewhere along the way, I thought that you didn’t accept me.

That’s why I was afraid to speak my mind.

I kept running away from Daiki, trying to get acceptance from you so that you wouldn’t hate me.

But I thought that if I didn’t face Daiki with my true feelings, Daiki wouldn’t face me anymore.

I love Daiki very much.

I think Daiki is my precious son as much as Takita-san.

That’s why I want you to expose yourself to me more!

As a father, I worry about Daiki as much as Takita-san does.

From now on, please take it easy…

I don’t want to see Daiki suffer…”

At the end, she told him without hiding the tears welling up in her eyes.

“Yumi was also worried about Daiki.

She was always troubled with tears, saying that Daiki was suffering because of me and that she was creating the trigger for you to suffer, even though I told her that was not true.”

She said that she isn’t allowed to cry unless Daiki is crying…

Daiki, from now on, don’t hold back…

Cry when you want to cry…

Me, Yumi and Takita-san don’t want Daiki to strain anymore…

I don’t want you to suppress your emotions…

Cry when you want to cry, laugh when you want to laugh, get angry when you want to get angry…

So you don’t have to force yourself anymore!”

He said with a smile at the end.

When Daiki noticed it, tears were streaming down his face.

Having cried so much yesterday, he thought there would be no more tears, but tears don’t die easily, it seems.

“Daiki…I’m really sorry until now…”

His mother hugged him slowly and gently.

“I’ve always made you work too hard, I see…..

I’ve always made Daiki work too hard because of my lack of responsibility as a mother…

I’m really sorry…

I noticed that you were forcing yourself to act cheerful and that you stopped crying…

But I couldn’t do anything for you… I still wanted to do something for you, so I only tried to do what I thought was right for you…

I let Daiki do whatever you wanted to do.

But now I realize that it wasn’t the right thing to do…

Daiki was forcing himself to be more and more cheerful.

I just felt like I had to listen to you, I had to talk to you, and I couldn’t do anything about it…

In the end, I had to ask your dad…

I felt ashamed of myself.

I felt unworthy.

I felt like I was an unfit mother for Daiki… but I still couldn’t stop worrying about you.

Daiki is very important to me and I can’t get enough of you…

So from now on, as Daiki’s mother, I promised myself that I would never let Daiki force you to do something you can’t.

It may be too late, but I decided to support Daiki so that you can cry and laugh properly without overworking yourself.

I know I’m not a good mother, but from now on, no matter what you say, I won’t let you force yourself or put up with anything.

You’d better be prepared for that!

I know I can’t say it like that, but it’s what a strong mother needs, so please forgive me!”

His mother also told him emotionally, crying and laughing.

It was a new experience for Daiki, who has always suppressed his emotions, and he was able to understand her.

For the first time, he realized that suppressing his emotions might only make the other person feel sorry for him.

That is why Daiki said

“Thank you so much, Mom and Tsukasa-san!”

With a face that did not know whether to cry or laugh.

It was funny again because all three of them had the same face.

Daiki felt that his father, mother, and Tsukasa had truly become family.

He would be able to welcome his little brother or sister into the world as a family full of love.

Daiki was so happy that he couldn’t wait to see that.

On that day, one of Daiki’s traumas disappeared completely.
