Chapter 44 – Esophagus 16

Without further ado and after changing the diaper, Lian Qiao immediately found scissors and cut the baby’s umbilical cord with a snip.

“Let’s go.” Xu RenDong got up and walked towards the corridor but suddenly felt a strong dizziness. He hurriedly supported the table and stopped himself from suddenly falling over.

“Brother RenDong?” Lian Qiao discarded the scissors and ran over. His face changed slightly, “What’s wrong with you?” He seemed to think of something and bent down to look at Xu RenDong’s injured leg. As soon as he touched it with his hand, he was shocked.

The coat used for dressing was actually soaked in Xu RenDong’s blood! Right now, the whole coat was heavy and wet, almost slipping off Xu RenDong’s legs.

“It’s okay, I’m just a little dizzy… I’ll just sit for a while.” Xu RenDong gasped as he spoke. He lowered his head and leaned against the table. He felt his eyelids were heavy and he was cold all over. He only wanted to find a place to lie down and sleep for a while.

Ye QingLiu stood beside him with the baby in his arms and said mercilessly: “Sit for a while. You won’t open your eyes once you’ve closed them.”

Xu RenDong smiled bitterly. He was very tired now and no longer wanted to speak.

“…” Lian Qiao was silent for a moment. Then he suddenly grabbed the baby in Ye QingLiu’s arms.

“Hey, what are you doing!” Ye QingLiu was startled by him and was about to snatch it back but was stopped by Lian Qiao’s dark and cold eyes.

“Hurry up, there’s no time to talk nonsense.” Lian Qiao’s speech became very fast. He held the baby in one hand and grabbed the slimy and bloody umbilical cord on the table with the other. He said without looking back, “You support him and follow me. Let’s go to the elevator.” After speaking, he walked out of the kitchen quickly.

Ye QingLiu said in shock: “What the hell? You’ve found the elevator?!”

Although she didn’t know what was going on, she still grabbed Xu RenDong and followed Lian Qiao closely.

“Fuck, you are really heavy.” Ye QingLiu put Xu RenDong on her shoulders. As someone who had the same three-year old body, she found it very difficult to support him. A long trail of blood trailed behind the two.

“I’m sorry…” Xu RenDong just said these four words and began to puff again.

Ye QingLiu looked back at the shocking bloodstain, shook her head and sighed: “Oh forget it, you should save some effort and speak less.”

Lian Qiao hurried to the end of the corridor. He took out the chalk and drew on it. The door opened neatly on the wall as Ye QingLiu watched with shock. Then he turned and hugged Xu RenDong, helping him into the cave and then pulled Ye QingLiu inside too. The rock door quickly closed behind the three.

“Fuck! What is all this?” Ye QingLiu asked Xu RenDong incredulously, “You found so many things, why didn’t you tell us?! What else did you do?” His eyes widened in horror, “Don’t tell me you killed the old nun?”

Xu RenDong smiled bitterly: “It’s a long story. If we can get out, I will tell you slowly.”

“Okay.” Ye QingLiu’s attitude was quite refreshing. She tugged Xu RenDong’s arm to prevent him from slipping off her young shoulders, “When we get out, you have to come and drink my son’s full moon wine.” {Celebration when Chinese babies turn one month old.}

Xu RenDong smiled weakly: “Okay.”

At this time, Lian Qiao suddenly turned his head and took a deep look at Xu RenDong but he didn’t say anything. He just turned around and continued to lead the way in silence.

Following the light at the end of the tunnel, the three quickly reached the end of the cave. At this time, Lamia had turned into a peaceful young girl again. She was sitting down in front of the white dining table full of food. Her hands were once again lying flat on her knees but the upturned palms were empty.

“You two wait for me here.” Lian Qiao turned around and took out the piece of chalk which only one third left. He habitually handed the chalk to Xu RenDong but seeing Xu RenDong’s pale face, his hand paused in mid-air and then he handed it to Ye QingLiu, “You take this. If something goes wrong, just do what I did earlier. Draw a door and take him out. Do you understand?”

I don’t understand.” Ye QingLiu asked straightforwardly, “What on earth do you want to do? What’s considered ‘something gone wrong’?”

Lian Qiao said: “If I die then something’s gone wrong.”

Ye QingLiu:” …… ” Yes, that answer was very simple and easy to understand.

Xu RenDong only felt that his body was getting colder and colder. His vision turned black for a while. He watched with a daze as Lian Qiao walked towards Lamia but his brain had lost the ability to think. He was speechless and so tired that he just wanted to sleep.

Relying on Lamia’s lack of eyeballs, Lian Qiao boldly walked in front of Lamia. The baby was asleep in his arms. Lian Qiao glanced at the baby, took a deep breath, and then took out the umbilical cord and stuffed it into Lamia’s mouth.

Ye QingLiu, who was watching from a distance, couldn’t help but let out a: “Fuck!”.

Lamia didn’t respond at first. Soon, she was awakened by the stench of the foreign body in her mouth. The first reaction was to suck in, put the umbilical cord in, and chew.

The three people present: “…”

Before everyone’s nausea had subsided, Lamia probably also felt nauseous. She suddenly stopped chewing and vomited with ah “ugh!”. She vomited a large pool of red and yellow, sticky and hot stuff from her mouth. It was cold in the cave and the pool of vomit was still steaming. The three of them felt like they were going to vomit out just by looking at it.

Lamia raised her head instantly after vomiting and her eyelids trembled violently. The expression on her face was shocked and then angry. She screamed bitterly, clutching around with her two pale hands, seemingly trying to find her eyeballs.

She pushed the tableware and food on the table to the ground, making a crashing noise. The sound of ceramic shattering was particularly shocking in the cave and the expression on Lamia’s face became more and more ferocious. Lian Qiao held the baby, swiftly avoiding Lamia’s waving arms, shouting at her: “Lamia! Your son is with me! He’s still alive!”

Lamia heard his voice. Instead of calming down, she let out a sharper shout and rushed in Lian Qiao’s direction.

“Sure enough, you don’t understand Chinese, you’re illiterate!” Lian Qiao frowned. He backed up and shook the baby vigorously, “Quick, call mom! Your mom is here!”

“…” The baby was swayed and shaken. It woke up slowly, opened a pair of big black eyes and stared at him stupidly.

Lian Qiao scolded: “Damn, this one is even more illiterate and can’t even speak.”

Ye QingLiu in the distance: “…” Are your requirements for NPCs too high?

Lian Qiao was chased by Lamia and fled in horror. The baby in his arms seemed to think it was fun to dangle like this. Not only did he not cry but even giggled. Lamia was still screaming, waving her long, pointed nails in the air and almost scratched Lian Qiao’s back several times.

Lian Qiao ran around the dining table and Lamia chased around the dining table. One person and one monster played cat and mouse for two minutes before Lian Qiao got angry.

“What’s wrong with you! Even if you don’t know how to call mom, at least you should be able to cry right!” He roughly pulled the baby out of the swaddle and holding his feet upside down, he slapped the baby’s butt, “Come on, cry!”

The baby was suddenly stimulated by the cold and was beaten on the buttocks a few more times. He finally burst into tears.

“Wuuuuuu-” The puffy cry echoed in the cave, producing countless echoes.

“Wuwuwuwuwuwu-!”

Lian Qiaoand Ye QingLiu’s ears hurt due to shock and they quickly covered their ears. Lamia couldn’t help but be stunned when she heard the cry and she stood there in a daze.

Lian Qiao took this opportunity to squeeze the baby into her arms. He even patted Lamia’s shoulder boldly: “Congratulations, it’s a boy.”

Lamia lowered her head, crying with empty eyes while looking towards the baby in her trembling arms. Soon, she fell to her knees, hugged the baby tightly and began to cry loudly. Lamia’s shrill cry and the baby’s cry mixed together and it sounded very strange. But after crying, her voice gradually softened and the sharp nails on her hands slowly disappeared.

Lian Qiao silently retreated back to Xu RenDong and Ye QingLiu. While staring at Lamia, he encouraged Xu RenDong and said, “Brother RenDong, hold on. It won’t be long now.”

Xu RenDong has no strength to speak or even look with his eyes. Everything felt dizzy. But he nodded slightly.

Amidst the crying, Lamia gradually transformed back from being a bloody and fierce monster into that young and beautiful Greek girl. Although her eye sockets are still empty without eyeballs, the expression on her face has become gentle, full of maternal brilliance. She pressed her face to the baby’s little face, lifted the corner of her mouth slightly and smiled.

At this moment, the three people had the same idea: She’s so beautiful.

No wonder that scumbag Zeus was attracted to her.

But all she experienced was not her fault. It’s not her fault that she was born beautiful. It’s Zeus who coveted her beauty and Hera who got jealous.

This Virgin Mary-like scene did not last long. The figure of Lamia and the baby gradually faded, like a drop of ink falling into a pool and quickly disappearing into the air. Behind her, the table of food was quickly corrupted and weathered as if the fast forward button was pressed and finally turned into a mass of ashes. Then the entire table collapsed.

Finally, everything was over.

But the most critical button did not drop. Lian Qiao waited anxiously for a while but didn’t see any shiny objects falling from the sky and there was nothing where Lamia and the baby had disappeared.

“Fuck!” He walked up and down irritably, looking around, “Where’s the button? Where’s the button?”

“Calm down…” Ye QingLiu tried to calm him down but suddenly felt something sink onto her shoulder. It was Xu RenDong’s head. She was shocked and, when she moved her shoulder, Xu RenDong’s head slid off. Ye QingLiu hurriedly held his head and yelled, “Lian Qiao! Lian Qiao, come here! Your big brother isn’t doing so good!”

Lian Qiao ran over and reached out to touch Xu RenDong’s pulse and his face suddenly turned pale. Xu RenDong’s pulse has become very weak and his heart rate was fast, which meant that he was on the verge of going into shock.

Xu RenDong blinked his eyes slowly and pulled out a smile with difficulty. His voice was as thin as a spring: “It’s okay…”

It’s okay. He thought to himself, when I die, we will begin again.

Lian Qiao was obviously flustered and even his voice began to tremble: “What the hell… how could there be no button, how could it be…” He was shaking all over. He sat down on the ground and his eyes wandered around in a daze. He subconsciously looked around, “Impossible, it must be there, it must be…”

Suddenly, his gaze focused on a place behind the dining table. He quickly got up and ran towards there. However, after not running two steps, his legs went weak and he fell down. So instead he got on his hands and feet and crawled over.

Ye QingLiu looked at Xu RenDong worriedly and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead for him. But when she looked at Lian Qiao again, she couldn’t help being stunned.

Lian Qiao knelt in front of Lamia’s vomit and he was turning through the pile of vomit with his hands!

“You…” Ye QingLiu sighed sympathetically. She thought: Lian Qiao must have gone insane.

Xu RenDong was getting heavier and heavier on her shoulders. His breathing was growing weaker and weaker and she could hardly see his chest going up and down. Ye QingLiu thought for a while and began to imitate how her mother took care of her when she was a child. She lightly patted Xu RenDong’s arm.

She remembered that he said that was an orphan. Since that was the case, then at least she could give him some comfort in the last moments of his life.

Thinking like this, Ye QingLiu calmed down and said, “Go to sleep, there’s a good boy.”

Xu RenDong, whose vision was gradually blurring, raised the corners of his mouth slightly. He said softly: “Thank you…”

Ye QingLiu sighed in her heart.

However, Lian Qiao in the distance suddenly yelled: “I found it!”

Ye QingLiu was shocked. She turned her head to look and saw Lian Qiao raise his hand high with a shiny silver thing clutched inside.

The elevator button!

Lian Qiao didn’t say anything more. He almost jumped up from the ground, and ran to the elevator not far away with large strides. The silver-white metal elevator glowed silently. Lian Qiao pressed the silver button of the same texture against the elevator wall. He heard a “ding” and the elevator door opened.

“Let’s go!” Lian Qiao immediately doubled back, bending over to hold Xu RenDong.

All of this happened so suddenly that Ye QingLiu’s brain didn’t react but her body reactively followed Lian Qiao into the elevator. Only when the elevator door slowly closed in front of her eyes, did Ye QingLiu utter a “fuck” and stretched out her hand to block the door.

“What about the others?!” she asked.

Lian Qiao took out the chalk and stuffed it into her hand: “I’ll give this to you!”

Ye QingLiu: “Huh?”

She still hadn’t figured out why Lian Qiao gave her the chalk when she felt a pain blossom in her butt. Lian Qiao had kicked her out of the elevator!

“???” Ye QingLiu turned around, looking at the closed elevator door with a dazed expression.

After more than ten seconds, she reacted: “Fuck!” She knocked hard on the elevator door, “Wait! Let’s leave a WeChat contact first! I still want to invite you guys to drink my full moon wine!”

She knocked accidentally on the elevator button. She heard a “ding” sound and the elevator door opened again. However, the inside of the elevator was already empty and the interior of the silver-white elevator were like three mirrors, vaguely reflecting her.

Ye QingLiu faced the elevator for a while and cursed: “You slipped away so fast, fuck.”
