Chapter 122 – Temple of the Five Internal Organs 12

When Xu RenDong woke up…

It actually wasn’t in the elevator!

Xu RenDong looked at the turbulent sky and the low hanging trees as though in a trance. Before he could accept the fact that he was not dead, he heard a shrill scream from not far away.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh-“

The voice was a bit familiar.

He had heard screaming countless times, everyone screamed like this and it was nothing special. But this time was different. He felt that the voice was very familiar, as if he had just heard it a hundred thousand words ago {Author is once again breaking the fourth wall, i.e. referencing how many chapters/words ago this character appeared.}.

Following the sound of the screaming, he saw a young man in a blood-stained jersey sitting on the ground, screaming and dodging attacks. That face looked a little familiar.

Looking up, a more familiar crowbar came into view. The crowbar was stained red and apparently it had already tasted blood. At this moment, the crowbar was raised high, and Lian Qiao, who was holding the crowbar, had a cold expression and murderous eyes.

At this moment, Xu RenDong suddenly remembered something and cried out: “Lian Qiao! Stop!”

Saaa-

The sound of a sharp weapon breaking through the air stopped abruptly.

Lian Qiao turned around in astonishment and saw Xu RenDong had awoken. He immediately ran towards him, throwing down the crowbar.

“RenDong!” Lian Qiao seemed to want to hold him in his arms, but was afraid of hurting him, so he could only stare at him with stiff hands.

However, Xu RenDong’s eyes went beyond him and fell on the man in the jersey.

The man had obviously been beaten, not only was his nose bruised, but his jersey was covered in blood. The scars were all made by the crowbar one by one, but there was no fatal injury. The crowbar was bent at one end and pointed at one end. So if Lian Qiao really wanted to, there would have been 100,000 blood holes in his body.

Xu RenDong just didn’t know if Lian Qiao was showing mercy or just didn’t want to give him a quick death.

Xu RenDong pursed his lips, ignoring the subtle unease in his heart. He looked at the man in the jersey and wanted to say, “How come it’s you?” Unexpectedly, the man’s eyes widened and he shouted:

“How come it’s you!”

Xu RenDong was robbed of his lines, which made him a little embarrassed. He straightened up his back and could only muster the reply: “It really is you.”

Lian Qiao looked at the two suspiciously while worrying about his injury: “Do you know each other?”

Xu RenDong: “I met him in a previous instance. The ‘butterfly in the stomach’.”

Lian Qiao was reminded by him, and then looked at the other person carefully and suddenly realized: “Oh! That bald medical student!”

He saw that the man in the jersey was only in his early twenties but his hairline had quietly retreated. Who could he be if not the hard-working medical student who recited his textbook until becoming bald?

Although the medical student was very sensitive towards the the adjective of “bald”, he was beaten up by Lian Qiao not long ago and so he didn’t dare to make trouble at this time. He shivered and said: “Boss I’m sorry, if I knew it was you , I wouldn’t have stabbed you.”

Lian Qiao narrowed his eyes: “You mean you would have stabbed me instead if you knew?” Then he picked up a crowbar and wanted to commit murder on the spot.

Although the medical student was beaten to the point of having only half of his life left, he was very calm at this threatening move by Lian Qiao. He said matter-of-factly, “Well, I have to kill someone  or where can I find the internal organs?”

After he said this, both Xu RenDong and Lian Qiao paused.

Lian Qiao: “So you were the one who killed all those people?”

RenDong: “So…you killed those people.”

The medical student said nonchalantly, “What else can I do? Regarding the first door, if it wasn’t for me sacrificing the organs of the dead, the door would not have opened at all and everyone can only die together! Moreover, the dead from this level cannot be brought to the next level, and fresh ones must be sacrificed every time! What else do you think I can do? I’m just an ordinary person and I want to live too!”

When Lian Qiao heard the sentence “I want to live too”, he got angry and scolded, “You want to live, don’t other people want to live too!?” But the medical student pouted and replied, “I still have midterm exams. I haven’t even had time to memorize my textbook!”

They could never have imagined that at this time, the bald medical student was still thinking about exams and memorization. RenDong Lian Qiao couldn’t help being stunned by his single-minded devotion and even forgot to swear at him.

Seeing that the two bosses were moved by his diligence, the medical student said sincerely: “Why don’t you do it like this? You cooperate with me. There was someone ahead of you. That person is a pervert and he forced me to lie in ambush here to plot against you. So let’s join forces and conspire against him.”

Lian Qiao said viciously: “Cooperate your mom!” He pointed at RenDong and cursed angrily, “You stabbed my partner when you came up and you still have the fucking face to talk to me about cooperation? I’ll fucking kill you first!” Then he lifted up the fellow again.

Seeing his murderous aura, the medical student knew that he was for real this time. He hurriedly begged RenDong for mercy: “Boss, persuade him! Tell him to calm down!”

RenDong: “I think he is quite calm. After all, it’s easier to kill you than the gentleman. Isn’t that what you said? You have to kill someone anyway, otherwise how will you pass this level?”

Medical student: “…”

RenDong: “By the way, what should be sacrificed this level? The nose? Or the lungs? Forget it, who cares? Just cut it all, pack them up and take them away.”

Medical student: “…”

Lian Qiao has already picked up the crowbar, grinding the stick to the pig and sheep.

The medical student suddenly broke down and cried, “Are you crazy! You can even kill a doctor! I am a doctor and I can save people! Do you have any fucking conscience! Killing a doctor! Are you guys some kind of medical community haters!”

Xu RenDong: “…” You’ve gone too far.

Lian Qiao suddenly stopped, it was unknown which sentence he was hit by.

“Are you a doctor?” Lian Qiao asked coldly.

The medical student nodded like a rattle.

Lian Qiao suddenly stretched out his hand and pointed at RenDong, his eyes full of murderous aura. He roared at the medical student, “Then why did you fucking stab him! You black-hearted doctor! I’ll kill you!” After that, it was another flurry of the crowbar.

“Wu! Wuhuuu!”

So, in front of Xu RenDong, the medical student was beaten again.

This time Xu RenDong was sure that Lian Qiao didn’t mean to kill him. He really planned to leave him a dog’s life and abuse him thoroughly.

It’s a pity that Xu RenDong has died so many times and was no longer a Virgin Mary. The wound on his lower back still hurt terribly and it’s unknown if his kidneys were damage. At this moment, he really was not in the mood to repay grievances with virtue.

When the anger in their hearts was almost gone, the medical student was already almost dead. One, his face was swollen like a pig’s head and two, he also had several broken ribs. He was huddled on the ground like a worm, crying and whimpering.

Lian Qiao was out of breath and RenDong finally said, “Okay, take a break.”

Lian Qiao stomped on his neck: “I’m not tired!”

The  medical student shouted, “But I’m tired!”

Lian Qiao heard him crying and his anger was aroused again. He was about to raise the crowbar to make persistent efforts but he heard RenDong coughing. RenDong propped himself up with difficulty and said, “Look at yourself, how many wounds have you got on your body?”

Lian Qiao then reacted. Just now, he was furious and his mind was hit by adrenaline, completely ignoring the soft knives in the wind. At this moment, not only was his body covered in blood, but his clothes were cut into rags, swaying in the autumn wind.

The mouth is also full of rusty taste. He wiped it casually, only to realize that his face was covered in blood.

Lian Qiao quickly regained his composure. He poured out a lot of first-aid medicines from the bag and the bottles and jars were scattered all over the place. It was the same pile that he had scavenged in the first-aid kit in the shopping mall.

Lian Qiao dragged the medical student in front of the pair of things, pointed at the bottles and said, “Quickly see what medicine can be used to stop bleeding, reduce inflammation and relieve pain… No, you’d better bandage him first. I’ll assist you.”

The medical student glanced at the knife on RenDong’s waist, and said with some embarrassment: “Cough, this… it’s not easy to bandage with the knife in that position.”

RenDong calmly said: “Then I’ll pull it out.” He grabbed it nonchalantly.

Lian Qiao and the medical student were shocked and at the same time. They stopped him and exclaimed: “Don’t move! Pull it out and it’s over!

“You can’t just pull out the knife from the wound! Once you pull it out, it will bleed a lot! It will kill people!”

RenDong then remembered that such a thing had happened before. He once pulled out the stone inserted in his leg in the ‘Esophagus’ instance, which directly caused blood in the aorta to spurt out and he later went into hemorrhagic shock. Lian Qiao was terrified.

Looking at Lian Qiao’s worried and angry face, he felt a little embarrassed. He then pursed his lips and whispered, “But it hurts when it’s inserted…”

Lian Qiao was stunned and, for some reason, his face suddenly turned red.

“You, what are you doing at this time…” He stuttered inexplicably, making RenDong also feel confused.

“What am I doing?” RenDong asked.

Lian Qiao suddenly became annoyed and said “Ai!” in a low and husky voice. He turned his head and said to the medical student, “What are you looking at? Come over to heal him!”

The medical student was just having a good time watching the play but suddenly his life was in danger again. He could only do his best to bandage and wrap up the wounds. To be honest, he was just a sophomore in medical school and had just finished the basic theory of Chinese medicine and general anatomy. Of course he was not good at surgical operations such as debridement and suturing and hemostasis by compression, but at this moment he didn’t dare say this.

In line with the principle of whoever was the one who created the problem being the one that should fix it, the medical student resolutely wrapped bandages around the waist of RenDong. Lian Qiao was very dissatisfied when he saw the mess he made. Seeing that he was unable to tie the knot, in a fit of rage, he was possessed by the spirit of an overbearing president and scolded coldly: “If anything happens to him, I will bury you with him!”

This was the classic line of a medical community hater! {This is a specific Chinese term used for people who like to kick up a fuss in hospitals/act aggressive towards medical staff. There has been a lot of negative news in Chinese media about these types of unreasonable people.}

The medical student was almost in tears.

After a simple dressing, the medical student found two bottles of medicine from the pile of medicines. In fact, he didn’t quite know what these medicines were but he just took two bottles at random and fooled Lian Qiao into telling Lian Qiao that this bottle stops bleeding and the other bottle relieves pain.

Even though Lian Qiao’s parents practice medicine, he is not a doctor after all so he had no choice but to believe the lies of the medical students and give the medicine to RenDong to eat.

It was unknown if the medical student might have accidentally made the right choice while guessing. After taking the medicine, the pain in the lower back was obviously improved and the pain in the lungs didn’t seem to be as strong.

The cold wind howled and the soft knives in the wind kept scratching the skin and flesh, making everyone’s faces smeared with blood. They looked like disciples of the Beggar Gang who had just stolen some meat buns. RenDong tried to stand up and walked two steps: “Okay, keep walking.”

Lian Qiao supported him worriedly: “Let me carry you.”

RenDong shook his head. There was a knife in the wind and it had already cut everyone’s throat and lungs. They would vomit blood from time to time just standing in the wind and talking so it would be the equivalent of Lian Qiao swallowing blades if he was carrying him on the road.

The medical student was dumbfounded while swallowing dog food when they saw what these two people were like with each other. He stabbed him in the waist. A normal person would have fainted long ago. Was it that Xu RenDong, the big Nine Level Boss, had an endurance beyond ordinary people, or was it… the power of love?

He looked at the endless wilderness in the distance and suddenly felt sad. He couldn’t help thinking: When can I go back to the library to continue my self-study?

What about my Physiology and Pathology? Long time no see, I miss them.

At this moment, a slender cold light passed by.

The medical student closed his eyes subconsciously and then thought: Closing your eyes when you are in danger, this physiological reflex is really terrible!

Fortunately, he was not the only one with a keen sense of response and observation. Long before the medical student closed his eyes, Lian Qiao noticed the sharp cold light coming from nowhere.

His physical reflexes was very interesting.

Without hesitation, he pulled over the medical student and blocked a blow.
