CH 62

The shirt hit Ye Fei in the chest, and fell down. The buckle hit the ground with a clung. Gu Ang was already in a foul mood today, and when he found out about this, he got even more upset. He couldn’t understand, and felt angry. What the hell was the point? He didn’t know if he should blame the wandering bug, or the nasty dress, or Ye Fei himself.

The secret that was thought to be so well hidden about his differentiation into an Omega was now like being pulled out of the darkness and exposed to the sun. Gu Ang saw Ye Fei’s face full of embarrassment, in fact, Ye Fei wasn’t the only one who felt embarrassed.

He, too, felt embarrassed. It felt like he was a clown in a transparent box, with someone watching through the clear glass the entire time. So, how did Ye Fei feel about marking him?

Ye Fei pursed his lips, considering it carefully for a long time. Although he didn’t think about it when he marked Gu Ang, it was pretty cool to think about having Gu Ang afterwards. But this inner activity, he dared not speak.

The person in front of him was still pursing his lips without saying a word, looking a bit furious. Ye Fei, in all conscience, took a long time to reply, “…Not good.”

Gu Ang quirked his eyebrows before reacting to what he was replying to, “Upset? You’re not happy you marked me twice?”

Ye Fei’s aloof aura was all but gone, and he hung his head slightly like a child who had made a mistake. He raised his eyes and swept Gu Ang, then buried his head back down and moved forward two steps, moving in a somewhat ingratiating manner, “So… good?”

“Good, right? I’ll make it even better.” Gu Ang nearly lost his breath and grew more and more cranky. Not bothering to jabber with him, he reached out and pulled Ye Fei’s wrist forward, yanking hard and putting the man in a backbreaking position on the ground.

It was the same pose that he pinned Ye Fei in the last fight. It was easy and smooth and it was done the entire way through. That time the force was withdrawn, this time it was with full force.

Ye Fei didn’t fight back, bringing down a nearby stool with a loud clatter as he fell. He stifled a grunt and subconsciously reached out to hold Gu Ang’s waist, fearing he might get hurt.

Gu Ang smacked his hands off, still not feeling too relieved. He simply sat across and pressed up against the man, his tiger’s mouth around his neck, his tone growing more and more vicious, “Fuck you, don’t play nice.”

Another backbreaker and a stool fall, the two moved so much that they instantly attracted the attention of passersby. The door of the dormitory was already open, and it was the day before school started, so people were coming and going, and now they were all crowding in the doorway to see what was going on.

The narrow doorway was easily opened wide as more and more people crowded in. All the faces, with the excited expression of a melon-eater. Some good people even turned on a live stream, commenting on the handsome sides of the two men’s faces as they said.

“That’s right, the two men fought as soon as they returned to the dorm, and the dormitory fight we had been waiting for finally began. Although we promote harmony and camaraderie, I’m sure we all enjoyed the sight of the two male gods beating each other up.”

“Battleship swiped up for the anchor, I was risking my life to run over live, and after I got off the air that was life or death.”

School has just started and we’re all bored, look at the title [Red Flame’s two male gods fight each other in passion, click here to watch]

The number of people online for the live stream rose quickly, an entire bunch of fancy bounties slammed down, and pop-ups cascaded.

[Anchor, explain the cause and effect, huh?]

[Weren’t these two together before? Why are they suddenly fighting?]

[Probably had a falling out to break up, seeing as how Gu Ang’s actually the one on top?]

[Exciting excitement. I’m ready to go to school. Fire away.]

[I told you double A’s together, sooner or later something is bound to happen. Whenever there’s a disagreement, there’s a fight. It’s too violent.]

[That’s why it was right to bet on Double A passionately beating each other in the first place, and pay back the old man for betting!]

…

Gu Ang heard the noise of people next to him and distractedly turned his head over. Eyes blazing, fierce as hell, “What are you looking at?”

The young anchor warily and dutifully turned the camera towards Gu Ang, “Now Gu Ang looks very angry, so I guess he’s the abusive party. There must be some ulterior motive for the once lovers’ sword fight.”

“Who the hell are you? Do you have any quality to barge into someone’s dormitory?” Gu Ang frowned tightly, and the hand that was squeezing Ye Fei increased its force, “Close the door for me.”

He hadn’t even finished questioning him, so what was all this nonsense about? The people next to him, with a bark from him, began to persuade.

“Don’t fight it, we’re all classmates, what can’t we talk about properly?”

“That’s right, the aunt’s going to be called later.”

“If you really can’t get along, change dorms, don’t be hard.”

Ye Fei looked at the growing crowd of onlookers and spoke softly, “So many people are watching, why don’t you get up first? Let’s sit down and talk.”

He was shameless, but he was afraid Gu Ang would look back and feel ashamed.

“What? You’re afraid to admit it, now you’re ashamed?” Gu Ang gave him a look, “I’m not.”

That one statement reignited the curiosity of the online audience:

[Did what? Did what? Did what!? Did Ye Fei bang someone?]

[The people in front of me are really nasty inside, and their minds are full of yellow waste all day long.]

[What, aren’t they two lovers? Having trouble getting it on?]

[That’s bullying, Gu Ang feels bad, after all, Alphas have to save face.]

The young anchor looked at the screen full of pop-ups and blushed slightly, “At the risk of asking, are you two still fighting?”

He looked at the screen full of bounties with both eyes glowing, and couldn’t wait for the two of them to immediately have a fight to tear down the dormitory.

Gu Ang, annoyed as hell, got up with a big stride and walked to the door, reaching out and frowning in the anchor’s face as he vigorously closed the door.

The live camera, which was still a hot scene, turned into a blackened door and the picture went dark. The anchor switched the camera on himself and shrugged, “He won’t let me watch, there’s nothing I can do.”

[No fun. That’s it.]

[The anchor is ugly as hell, who wants to see you!!!]

[Give me back my battleship, didn’t even see the fight…]

[Withdrawal, waste of my feelings!]

[Dumbass anchor, report report !!]

With the internet still buzzing, the world inside the dorms finally cleared. The rest of the time, it was time for Gu Ang to settle the score with Ye Fei.

Gu Ang huffed and spun around the room, slamming his butt down on the couch. Still not relieved, he reached out and threw the small hug pillow precisely towards Ye Fei.

Ye Fei grabbed the cushion with one hand and rose sharply from the floor. He couldn’t be bothered to get his frayed shirt and walked quickly next to Gu Ang, his voice getting lower and lower, “I was wrong, don’t be mad.”

Gu Ang looked still cold to the bone and lifted his chin, gesturing for him to sit on the couch.

“Tell me, why were you hiding it? Why did you lie to me?” He sat across the table with his legs open, with the air of a forced confession of a prisoner, “No, tell me first, how did you change to that face?”

Ye Fei ravaged the pillow in his hand, getting a bit of a scalp from the stare. He fished a cigarette off the table and bit it, contemplating where a better place to start would be to confess.

It had just been lit and the smoke was just half exhaled when Gu Ang stopped it with a gulp, “Put it out for me.”

“Fine, as you wish, I won’t smoke.” Ye Fei exhaled the remaining half of his cigarette and put it out again.

Gu Ang looked at him and asked through gritted teeth, “Tell me, how did you get your face?”

“A machine was used.” Ye Fei got up, fished the disguise machine out of his suitcase, and pressed the button. The original, handsome face was fine-tuned in thirty seconds. He explained, “For the Ye family’s secret family mission it wasn’t convenient for me to appear in person, so XuanBird helped me get this to cover my identity.”

Gu Ang looked at that face and the anger he had just suppressed came back up, “It’s synthetic? And you used my face? You’re violating my portrait rights.”

Ye Fei looked at him innocently, “Isn’t that how I like you? The top half is my face, the bottom half is yours, I wouldn’t dare use anyone else.”

Gu Ang choked and stood up and walked over to him and pinched the face, “Kinda true.”

“Change back?” Ye Fei asked cautiously.

“I’m tired of looking at either of the faces.” Gu Ang shoved him in disgust and sat back on the couch, “Change back and keep going.”

Ye Fei pressed a button and slowly returned to his original look. He thought that since he had been exposed, he would simply tell Gu Ang everything and it would give him a levee.

“I ran into the Gu family in the family mission, and I killed Lu ChangQing in the exchange of blows, and his brother Lu ChangBai sought me out for revenge. In the previous trial, he figured out that you were the most important person to me and wanted to use you to blackmail me.”

Gu Ang was shocked, “Lu ChangQing was killed by you?”

Ye Fei nodded, “It was me, I kept it from you because I was afraid that you would impulsively go to them because of Lu Yan’s matter. You’ll be at a disadvantage when the two sides go head to head. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get rid of him all this time, but the man’s cunning and I haven’t found a break yet.”

“You think I’ll suffer? You think so lightly of me?” Gu Ang sneered.

Ye Fei sighed and went on to explain, “No, didn’t you differentiate into an Omega? I was afraid that he would find out to your detriment, so I simply hid it all together.”

Gu Ang snorted out his nose, “Oh, you’ve got quite a lot to explain today, how did you know I was an Omega?”

“I saw the test report from the last time you went to the hospital.” Ye Fei helped him remember, “It was… The first time I marked you that time. I didn’t just pass by by chance, I searched the school all afternoon to find you.”

“And I’m supposed to thank you for saving me? Why all the secrecy and not using your own face?”

Ye Fei rubbed his brow, feeling a little tired. It was all sins done in the past, and now they had to be paid for one by one. “I called you and you turned off your phone and you wouldn’t talk about it, so I assumed you didn’t want me to know, so I pretended I was someone else.”

Gu Ang was poked. What he didn’t want Ye Fei to know was that he was afraid that he liked an Alpha Gu Ang and would be unable to accept it because he had become an Omega. On the other hand, Omegas were naturally delicate to others, and he had his pride.

Ye Fei saw his expression soften a bit and took advantage of the situation, “That’s why I kept it from you. But both times, I was really just trying to help you through your rut, and I didn’t do anything else.”

Gu Ang gave a grimace, “What else do you want to do? Huh? Fuck me?”

Ye Fei felt a cold sweat drip from his temple, what kind of tiger and wolf word was that? “That’s not what I meant.”

“Okay, explain it clearly, you’re fine with it, it’s all my problem.” Gu Ang spoke slowly, his expression still the same, rejecting coldness. “It’s my fault for turning into an Omega and not telling you. I’m the one who made you feel not strong enough, so you ran off to fight Lu ChangBai yourself. I’m the one who deserves to be in heat over and over again and have you lay down your life to save me.”

He spoke out of turn, getting angrier and angrier. While he was angry at Ye Fei for keeping so many things from him, he was also angry at himself. Gu Ang knew he was that kind of person, he liked to keep everything inside and refused to say anything outside.

Ye Fei thought very much like him, if not more so, thinking that he could handle it and just didn’t want his other half to worry. After a quick explanation, he could totally understand Ye Fei’s initial thoughts. To protect him, to hide his ridiculous pride. But still, he was angry.

He felt like he was, well, being treated like an Omega who needed someone to protect him. And the feeling he hated the most was being treated like a weakling who needed protection.

Ye Fei listened and was silent for a long time, “No, it was all my fault, don’t talk about yourself like that.”

“Ye Fei, I don’t need you to protect me.” Gu Ang looked at him, “I’m not as vulnerable as you think.”

Ye Fei was a little sad that he called him by his first name and not big brother anymore. The relationship that had so easily progressed to this point seemed to have taken a big step backwards. Between the two of them, a huge chasm separated them.

Ye Fei shook his head, “I’m not thinking you’re vulnerable, I just don’t want to put anyone I like in any danger.” He added, “It doesn’t have anything to do with you being an Alpha or an Omega, it’s just that I like you and want to be careful.”

Because I hold you dear, I walk on thin ice. Always afraid of losing you with one thoughtless move.

Gu Ang pursed his lips and looked at him with vacant eyes, repeatedly chewing the words up and mulling them over. The motive wasn’t in question, and the reason was good, Ye Fei had his struggles, “One last question. You like me because I differentiated into an Omega, right?”

“Nonsense.” Ye Fei stood up and held his shoulders, “I like you, it’s not about gender, it’s just because you’re Gu Ang.”

Gu Ang recalled the first time he marked him, on that rooftop drenched in night air. He lay helplessly covered in flush in that very dirty little corner, like he had been abandoned by the world. He shrank there, feeling the unfamiliar physical reactions hand in hand, and then was temporarily marked by someone he didn’t know. It was a little distasteful, but it did make him feel better.

At the time, his gender consciousness wasn’t as pronounced as it was now, and he dismissed it as being bitten by a rabid dog. But not long ago, on that deserted planet, the man came back a second time. Despite the claim that he was here to help him, he physically resisted.

The second he was marked, he hated the man. And now knowing that this person had become Ye Fei, it was as if all perceptions had changed.

Remembering those moments again, he could even recall the feeling of those lips on his neck. Tender, hot, with a tangled love. Transitioning into it was the intoxicating scent of brandy. He could even feel the fingertips squeezing his neck, all with possession and preciousness.

It was as if everything was giving him all kinds of hints and he was so nervous he missed all the details. Having said that, Gu Ang also felt a bit pretentious. He was no different from Ye Fei, each had a position and couldn’t let go of the other.

There was a knock at the door and Gu Ang lazily got up to answer it. Once pulled open, there stood a sweaty Bai SiNing and Lin XiuYong outside. Bai SiNing first checked Gu Ang left and right, and then entered the door and raked Ye Fei for a quick inspection, “Luckily you’re not hurt. I saw the live feed and came running over here, I thought something serious had happened to you guys.”

Gu Ang scolded, “Stupid live stream, just know how to bring the beat.”

“So what were you two fighting about?” Lin XiuYong asked idly as he leaned against the doorway, “It’s rare to see Ye Fei so defeated.”

“Didn’t fight.” He didn’t want to expose the Omega thing, a secret like that, just the fact that Ye Fei knew about it was enough to make him ashamed.

Gu Ang had a brainwave and changed the subject, “You guys remember that last thing about a giant insect biting your neck? I finally caught it.”

Lin XiuYong raised his eyebrows, “You found it?”

Gu Ang nodded firmly, “Yeah, just found out today.”

“No wonder, that should get you killed.” Lin XiuYong associated the live-streaming of the violent beating and skimmed the corners of his mouth, his tone mocking, “Ye Fei, only you and Xiao Bai could believe that, at a glance, it was bitten by someone.”

Gu Ang froze, “What kind of person bites like that?”

“No, he didn’t say anything…”

“Weren’t you the one who said you found out it was Ye Fei who bit him? That’s not why you beat him up?”

Ye Fei and Lin XiuYong spoke at the same time, and the room suddenly came to a standstill.

Ye Fei shook his head gently and made a gesture, “It’s not about that.”

But it was too late. Gu Ang was caught up in recalling that red marks had appeared on his neck twice before. Both times he’d been lying in his dorm room most of the night and somehow appeared when he got up the next morning, not the same time as the two times he’d marked.

Forgive my ass, Ye Fei deserved it.

Bai SiNing licked his lower lip, trying to help Ye Fei find a fix, “Ah’Ang, there’s really a bug, and I…”

Gu Ang, whose breath had only just gone down halfway, ground his teeth and gave a cold smile, “Oh? So that red mark on my neck was from a dog?”
