Chapter 2911 Border City's Imminent Destruction

"Ahahaha! Die, you miserable wolves! That's what you get for acting so smug back in the banquet!"

One of the generals helming the Cyan Soul Rat Clan's Peak Immortal King Grade Battle Formation laughed loudly that his boisterous voice resounded across the battlefield, startling many who didn't see them coming.

It was like they had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and when they saw two more giant cyan soul rats appear, they began to understand that they were concealed by using some kind of treasure. Nonetheless, seeing that the Cyan Soul Rat Clan had sent five divisions to target the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, even the ones who were preparing to attack the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan gawked.

They had only brought two or three divisions to the Aurora Cloud Gate since almost all alliances formed a blockade there, so there was no need to send all of them here. Utmost, they brought one or two divisions to besiege the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, but the Cyan Soul Rat Clan sent five of them.

"Ugh, such a vile attack."

"Weren't they from the same alliance?"

"They were, but it is also said that they weren't on good terms with the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, always fighting…"

The people from the other alliances discussed, still waiting for their squads to gather.

After all, their squads had been spread out since they had locked down the entire Domain of the Aurora Cloud Gate, which was vast and couldn't easily be surrounded by just a few thousand people.

A power's immortal army usually consisted of thousands of soldiers.

From Soldiers to Great Generals, there were six such positions within the army.

A Great General commanded the entire army, and only one such individual could exist within an army for unity. Their cultivation base needs to be at Late Immortal King Stage. However, their prowess was extremely high, up to four to five levels higher, depending on what power they belonged to.

Sometimes, they could even be the Young Master or a person of much importance within the power.

As for a General, they were at the Mid or Late Immortal King Stage, possessing a prowess that's three levels higher in prowess.

They commanded Divisions that had anywhere between three hundred and sixty soldiers to a thousand five hundred soldiers, and each Division was made up of three Brigades.

The Vice Generals were lower ranked than Generals, but they also led Divisions, Divisions that are usually ranked further back and have weaker personnel compared to the Divisions ranked in the top ten.

In the same way, a Brigade consisted of a hundred and twenty to five hundred soldiers and was led by a Captain whose cultivation base was at Late Immortal Stage, possessing a prowess that's capable of battling two levels higher.

Even lower than a Captain is a Vice Captain. The Vice Captain led a Battalion that was made up of four to ten squads, and each squad was made up of ten soldiers.

Therefore, around a thousand Immortal Kings from each power were sent to the Central Divide, which was entirely ridiculous considering the fact that it was just to take on the armies of the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan. Even if the Golden Crow Clan and the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan lent aid to them, it would be the same thing.

The end result wouldn't change.

All they wanted to do was smoke out the Emperor of Death since he fairly seemed to be on close terms with the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan in the banquet, not to mention the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan hadn't denounced him at all, even after he brought an Annihilative Immortal King Tribulation upon them all.

This made everyone infuriated, but still, they didn't think they would go to war until the Fire Phoenix Clan made the first move, eventually bringing them into the fray. However, they only thought this war would end with the destruction of a few cities and a formal apology from the Central Primesky Alliance, along with the denouncement of the Emperor of Death.

However, it seems like some powers came with the intent to slaughter.

Now, the stalemate was quickly broken as the defending powers slowly started to retreat.

Even the frightful defense of the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan seemed to be taking a hit with the Cyan Soul Rat Clan's constant barrage of soul attacks.

"Oh-ho~ The city is going to be barraged at this rate..."

In an inconspicuous location that led straight out from a valley, five individuals stood side by side, looking at the battlefield in the distance. They had a clear view of the battlefield as well as the city that seemed to have already been damaged a bit as its Defensive Formation was down, unable to form fully.

"Shouldn't we stop them?"

A calm voice resounded amidst the surprised tone of the golden-robed woman. The latter turned to look at the icy-white-robed woman with a languid smile.

"We should but jumping in right as we came is nothing short of folly."

"They may not have much time." Tanya pouted, causing Isabella to laugh lightly.

"Don't worry. We'll finish checking the area soon- and yes, there seem to be no Immortal Emperor undulations around. Only those battle formations seemed to be releasing prowess on par with Immortal Emperors."

"Well, it is war, after all."

Lea commented with one of her eyes closed, seemingly scanning the battlefield with her eyes, "If an Immortal Emperor entered, then it would invite other Immortal Emperors, and the battles would be over in an instant, and the losses extremely huge to all parties. It is much like the nuclear weapons Mingzhi spoke about in the mortal world. No one would dare try what our Aurora Cloud Gate did to the Godwin Family without complete surety."

"And so there you have it, Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder. Make sure not to interfere."

Isabella turned around and waved, causing the Grand Elder hidden in the valley to become speechless.

Of course, she knew that Immortal Emperors shouldn't interfere until it was time or until one of the parties broke the unspoken rule. However, she appeared like she was still determined to save Isabella no matter what.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, Shirley narrowed her brows. She turned to look at the black-robed woman beside her, noticing something before she sighed.

"That little wolf, she's gone already..."

The other four blinked before noticing that Nadia left an afterimage behind that still doesn't seem to disappear, appearing like it was etched there.

"Oh no! She's going to hog all the glory!"

Isabella giggled and, with a step forward, disappeared into the distance. Following her, Tanya, Shirley, and Lea also followed suit, disappearing into the skies. They were so fast that Grand Elder Kirana's eyes widened in complete shock.

"Ho-How…?"

They had disappeared from her gaze for a moment, causing her to panic, but then she managed to catch sight of them as their insane speed only seemed to be from the burst of their movement techniques.

She instantly caught Isabella's silhouette flashing toward the distance. She headed straight for the giant cyan rat in the distance while the enemy seemed not to notice her until she was near.

The giant cyan rat flinched in response to the sudden threat. However, sensing that it was just a Mid Stage Immortal King, they raised their claw and slashed against the foe without a care in the world.

"…!"

Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder felt her entire body turn cold. She just took a step forward when she suddenly noticed that Isabella dodged the slash, kicking the air as she arrived right on top of the rat's head, her fist pulled back, causing the color of heaven and earth to change over that location.

*BOOM!~*

The giant cyan rat's translucent body completely blew apart in midair, all of the Immortal Kings inside having perished from the sheer power of her fist.

The sudden change in the battlefield caught everyone off guard, including Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder, whose body came to a trembling stop, unable to believe what was going on.

But the next second, she saw two more giant cyan rats becoming covered in ice, appearing deader than dead as the Immortal Kings had horrified expressions on their faces while another battle formation was burned to death completely by crimson flames, leaving behind the ashes of thousands of Immortal Kings.

Just like that, out of the five Cyan Soul Rat Clan's Divisions, three of them were completely exterminated.

"…!"

This sudden change caused the armies present in the scene to be terrified, causing them all to be on high alert as they slowly started to retreat.

'Is this the power of a true Earth Dragon Empress…?'

However, tears fell from Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder's eyes as though she couldn't be any more proud of her race as she looked at Isabella. After all, even at Level Five Immortal King Stage, the prowess Isabella displayed had reached the Immortal Emperor Stage!
