C3 – Killing More Zombies!

After taking a brief rest, Loong Chen resumed his search for zombies. Death City was infested with zombies, so locating them wasn’t a challenging task.

It didn’t take long before he spotted over a dozen zombies meandering along another street.

The brick Loong Chen had previously picked up had worn out, but he came across a sturdy iron rod during his journey. The iron rod proved to be more convenient than a brick.

Within a few minutes, all of the dozen zombies had collapsed to the ground, their heads gruesomely split open.

“Indeed, my strength sets me apart.”

Loong Chen sighed. In the absence of strength, encountering zombies meant certain death. However, now that he possessed power, the tables had turned. Zombies were nothing more than walking corpses in front of him.

“My strength and defense attributes have experienced a significant increase, whereas my other attributes have seen comparatively lesser growth.”

Loong Chen silently performed calculations in his mind.

Among the attributes dropped by most of these zombies, strength and defense took precedence, followed by speed and agility, while mental attributes were the least abundant. The dozen or so zombies possessed merely ten mental attributes.

This could potentially be linked to their mental disorders.

After clearing the zombies from this street, Loong Chen intended to continue his search on the opposite side. However, as he took two steps, he suddenly caught some sounds.

He listened attentively and discerned that the noise appeared to be coming from a shop situated by the side of the street.

“Are there zombies inside?”

Thinking of this, Loong Chen approached the shop. The door was closed but not locked. He gently pushed it open.

In an instant, a putrid stench permeated the air. Loong Chen hurriedly covered his mouth and nose. At that moment, a glint of coldness flashed before his eyes.

Thanks to Loong Chen’s heightened agility, which was two to three times faster than that of an average person, he swiftly reacted and evaded to the side.

After evading, he finally got a clear view and realized that the cold glint was a knife.

A muscular zombie brandished the knife and made a slashing motion towards him.

“The zombies know how to use weapons!”

Loong Chen felt a twinge of surprise, but the knife had already swiped towards him.

Without much time to ponder, he swiftly evaded once again. Simultaneously, the iron bar in his hand swung towards the muscular zombie’s head.

Fortunately, despite the zombie’s proficiency with the weapon, it wasn’t any stronger than the other zombies. Loong Chen’s iron stick struck its head, causing it to split open.

Two orbs of light fell out from its body. One of them was an ordinary orb of light, while the other possessed a distinct feature—a knife pattern.

“Picking up done! Obtained empirical value x20.”

“Picking up done! Obtained Basic Saber Technique Level 1.”

At this moment, an abundance of understanding regarding Saber technique flooded Loong Chen’s mind. It was as if he had previously acquired knowledge on how to wield a saber.

Strength: 455 / 100

Speed: 333 / 100

Agility: 285 / 100

Defense: 412 / 100

Spirit: 220 / 100

Skills: Basic Saber Technique Level 1 (0 / 100)

Empirical value: 500

Note: All of attributes in a normal male adult: 100

Sure enough, his Stats Window displayed an additional level in his Basic Saber Technique skill.

“System, I would like to upgrade my Basic Saber Technique.”

Loong Chen exclaimed in his mind. Now that he possessed a skill, he needed to utilize the empirical value.

“You have spent 100 empirical value, and your Basic Saber Technique has advanced to level 2.”

“You have spent 200 empirical value, and your Basic Saber Technique has advanced to level 3.”

To raise his Basic Saber Technique to level 4, he would require 400 empirical value. It was then that Loong Chen realized his empirical value was insufficient.

However, his Basic Saber Technique had already reached level 3, and he could sense a deeper comprehension of the art of the saber.

Initially, he had only studied the Saber technique for two years, but now he felt as though he had been practicing it for a decade. He had made some modest progress.
