Chapter 714: Don’t Be So Down

Chapter 714: Don’t Be So Down

“A light attribute magic cultivator…” Anna muttered as she looked at Lyon with her eyes slightly widened.

Nit gulped (A light attribute magic cultivator, that’s quite a rare attribute to have). His glance toward Lyon shifted from fear to a slight horror. Lyon had indeed destroyed the First Hall but him being a dual-type cultivator made him quite a monster, not to mention with a rare attribute in his arsenal.

“Are you really a light attribute cultivator?” asked Mavis as he furrowed his brows.

“You don’t believe me?” Lyon smirked. “Don’t worry about it, I never bothered to prove anything anyway.”

“Hehe, sorry, but it’s hard to believe that you would be that powerful,” jested Mavis. “Not only you are already a powerful art type cultivator, but you’re also a magic cultivator, and on top of those, you’re an alchemist of Alchemist Union.”

“That’s… really overwhelming,” commented Anna with a wry smile. (If he is that good, then he has surpassed young master Mavis! How can no one heard of him before?).

“That’s not all, he can do much more! He can also ta—HMm!?!” Kesya’s mouth was stuffed with Assid’s glove. She glared at him but the latter didn’t even bother to return her glance.

(That’s not all… he also has another super rare attribute! The spatial attribute!) screamed Cherie inwardly as she looked at Lyon with disbelief. Her mother had told her what she noticed during the fight with the Golden Dragon Kingdom. A magic brand formed in the air like a javelin strike through the jade sparkle.

“Alright, enough of my husband’s vanity,” said Cecile after a satisfied chuckle. “We will depart, but the ones going will only be our group.”

Lyon raised his brows, “You mean us in this room?”

Cecile nodded, “Correct, only us in this room.”

Anna slightly opened her mouth but no words came out. Her hesitation was apparent as she then tightened her upper lips.

Noticing the restrained opinion, Lyon smirked. “You seem to have something in mind Elder Anna.”

Anna smiled as she shook her head, “Nothing, I just happen to wonder how many days we would spend in the cave.”

Lyon’s smirk vanish as the situation suddenly turned into something that he had never thought of before. “What?”

“What?” Anna raised her brows. “Is something not clear?”

“Brother Lyon, if there is something that you want to know, it’s better to ask now,” said Mavis.

“What?—I mean, what do you mean by spending days inside the cave?” asked Lyon as he furrowed his brows.

“Well, we are not going to reach the region in one go,” said Anna before she stood up and went for the shelves. She took a scrolled old paper before sitting back down. “This is the map of the cave, so far.”

“This is the most updated map of the Endless Cave,” said Nit with a nod. “Anything beyond what’s drawn there is unknown.”

Mavis furrowed his brows as he picked up the map, “This is really something, what lies beyond that?”

“Death, young master Mavis,” said Nit as he answered.

“Death?”

Anna nodded, “Beyond what was drawn, powerful beasts lurked and mana are so thin, we can’t even fight them back.”

“Interesting,” Mavis pondered. “So the deeper one goes the more surrounding mana dissipates?”

“Correct, young master Mavis,” Nit nodded. “Thus why hardly anyone managed to reach the deepest of the caves.”

“And where is our destination?” asked Lyon.

“I think it’s here,” said Mavis as he pointed to a flower symbol on the map. “See the flower symbol?”

“Well, that’s pretty close to the unknown region there,” said Lyon as he let out a disgruntled breath. “Then again, I’m afraid spending more days inside the cave would be impossible.”

“Oh?” Mavis raised his brows, “You have business elsewhere?”

“Is it because of your lodgings? I can extend them,” said Anna without a shred of hesitation. She as an elder definitely had the capabilities and the money to do so.

Lyon shook his head, “This is not about lodgings.”

“Then what is it?” asked Elder Anna. “I’m sure I can work something out.”

Lyon shook his head as his eyes slightly turned vacant. He smiled, “A woman is waiting for me.”

The silky purple hair, he could still feel them in his palm. The girl that slowly matured, Luna.

“Hmph!” Lumina snorted before she pinched his waist.

“AW!” Lyon jumped out of his seat before crashing against the ceiling.

Lumina crossed her arms as she refused to see Lyon’s painful face. She pouted away and was resilient in it. Lyon tried hard to cheer her from left and right, apologizing from left and right, but it won’t erase the mistake that he did in the past—which he didn’t even know the reason why.

“Y-You have another one?” Mavis opened his eyes wide. “Wow, that must be a tough life!”

“If you think my young master will stop at three, then yo—HMHMM?!” Kesya’s mouth was once again being filled with Assid’s pure white gloves. She glared at him and he had once again, didn’t even bother. (How many gloves do you have?!).

Cecile chuckled, “Don’t think too much about it, Mavis. The household is always fun and not chaotic as you think.”

Mavis smiled wryly (Somehow I doubt that).

Meanwhile, Anna frowned as she looked at Lyon trying hard to apologize to Lumina.

The subtle gaze was noted by Cherie but she had no words to utter. “Then, what should we do?”

“Well, we can always depart tomorrow,” said Cecile. “Are you okay with that Mavis? We can go without you if you can’t make it.”

“I-I can,” answered Mavis as she smiled wryly.

“Then it’s decided, let’s depart tomorrow, first thing in the morning,” said Anna as she nodded.

“Alright then, thanks for your hospitality,” said Cecile before she stood up and the rest followed her. However, just right at the door she turned and smirked at Anna, “Don’t be so down, I’ll drag your daughter with us.”

Anna opened her eyes wide before she looked at Cecile waving goodbyes.
