Chapter 927

Chapter 927: Newbie Teacher

The sound of rushing water flushing was heard before Lyon was found back on the sofa facing the principal.

The principal sighed, “Reinhard came to me with a burning desire to kill, despite the rugged clothes and sore muscles that he suffered. His face was bloodied but his condition was better than the other two, especially Rayus.”

“So I’ve heard,” said Lyon as he crossed his arms. “Seeing your friends got the worst end of a fight, any true cultivator would feel that way.”

“Rayus is a talented boy despite his upbringing, it’s a shame as to what happened to him,” said Old Gu.

“It is,” Lyon answered, “Where is the previous teacher now?”

“We dismissed him,” said Old Gu before he sighed. “Sadly, despite Reinhard’s adamant words that the teacher was the bandit’s leader, there was not enough proof that linked them, nor the proof that he received a bribe.”

“Then where is he now?” asked Lyon.

Old Gu shook his head, “I don’t know.”

Lyon smirked, “Maybe I can start with a question, how did he even get hired? Surely your elite school must have done a background check before hiring him?”

“We did a background check on him, but the information that we received was true and legit,” said the old principal.

“Did he come here alone or was he recommended by someone?” asked Lyon.

“He did come here alone,” said Old Gu, “None of the teachers had seen him before.”

“How can you be so sure?” Lyon laughed. “An unknown man randomly showed up to teach Class Six, students filled with the commoners of Second Heaven, sounds too good to be true.”

“Apparently, he was inadequate for the task,” said Old Gu.

“This bandit group, do they have an identity?” asked Lyon.

“You should ask that to your students,” said Old Gu. “They were there, they might catch a glimpse of their identity or, heard them.”

“Is that so?” said Lyon. “What about bandits near this school?”

“I haven’t caught up with the news of our neighboring city, perhaps you could find some interesting information there,” said Old Gu. “Though, a word of caution, with how you presented your cultivation level, it might not be the best outlook.”

“Heh, all of them are the same. The power squashed the weak not only with their feet but also their hearts. How did everyone grow up to be like this, they never chose to be born in the realm they were in but they were spat on by those who were born at a higher level, such is the fate of the cultivation world,” said Lyon as he stood up, “Let me tell you something Old Gu, those boys, they vehemently believed in the system that your young master believe, they don’t deserve the life of stomping for what they did, however, since your system brought them to their knees, I will make sure that they beat all of the other classes in ways that perhaps would spat on the name ‘cultivation’ and you can do nothing about it.”

Old Gu had his eyes looking at the door closing as Lyon left his room. He grunted. ( This is not good, whatever his planning is… not good ). He sighed before standing up, “But then again,” he looked over at the window, “I don’t really have the power to stop him, such an ineffable figure, what is he doing in the Mortal World interests me more than this whole charade. What does he see, I wonder, what grand scheme is he planning?”

Old Gu sat on his desk before sighing, “He might have a spot in Sixth Heaven, more than anyone in Second Heaven. The Mortal World has birthed a monster beyond their control.”

“Tch!” Lyon clicked his tongue. ( I thought I would get a lead but I got nothing, at least he is not prevaricating about the whole matter ).

He found himself turning into a hall and one sign caught his eye’s attention. He stopped in his tracks a revealed furrowed brows. The faculty office was a few steps away.

After what he said back in the welcoming ceremony, he smiled as he strode toward the door. He paused and crossed his arms with his chin raised. He snorted then turned the knob and pushed it open.

All teachers were present and raised their brows looking at the figure at the door. From the look on their faces, they didn’t reveal a surprise.

Han stood up, “Welcome, new teacher,” he smiled. “How’s your student?”

“Been better it seems,” Lyon smirked before he found an empty sit.

“I see,” Vina answered, “You must have heard their circumstances already, that’s fascinating. Never thought those boys would open up to you like that.”

“With how he presented himself in the welcoming ceremony, it’s a matter of course,” said Cini as her focus was still on the documents on her desk.

“I will take that as a compliment,” said Lyon before putting his leg on top of the table.

“It seems to me that you’re taking this too lightly, Teacher Lyon,” said Rokh.

“There is nothing truly heavy in this world but our own mind,” said Lyon. “Forget it, someone like you won’t understand.”

“Tch!” Rokh scowled. “What do you mean by that?”

“Nothing, of course,” said Lyon with a chuckle, “C’mon, it’s a joke, surely you can take a joke.”

“What are you planning to do? There is hardly any chance of you winning the graduation,” asked Cini.

“Hmm, I wonder,” Lyon smirked. “However, I must do something first.”

“And what’s that?” asked Marat.

“I need to kill a few people,” said Lyon.

The room sank into an awkward silence for a moment. All their glance shifted and sharpened. However, not a single one of them could make him flinch.

“Killing a few people? Are you mad?” asked Han as he furrowed his brows.

“It takes a little madness to be sane,” Lyon laughed.

“Hunting people is harder than hunting a beast,” said Yama. “Who are you planning to kill? You just got here.”

“Well, some of you might know who,” said Lyon. “After all, some of you have a connection with them.”

“Hmm,” Marat crossed his arms before raising his brows, “Are you talking about the bandits that impaired Rayus?”

As his words fell the rest of the teachers raised their brows before looking at Lyon with a seasoning of sourness.

“You understand me very well,” Lyon jested. “I think you and I can share a drink one day, if, my wife allows it.”

Marat snorted a smirk, “You’re a bound man, however, if the opportunity raises, why not?”

Lyon nodded before looking at the rest of the teachers, “Well, anyone of you wants to introduce yourself? You have my name already.”

“You can read our names on the desk,” said Rokh as he pointed out the name tag made out of solid wood engraved.

“Heh, sure,” Lyon smiled. “Well, do you have any suggestions for a newbie like me? I would love to hear tips from the pros.”

“You can start by putting down your legs,” said Cini. “Such unruly might taught your students to be one too. We have standards here.”

“My apologies,” said Lyon as he put down his legs but still keep his smile. Lyon opened his arms, “Then, when can I get a good bribe offer, I wouldn’t say no directly hahaha!”

His words once again fell their expectations. They had never thought that he would say the word out of the blue and with laughter as well. Their parted lips only intensified his chuckles.

“You’re disrespecting us!” shouted Han as he slammed his hand against his own desk.

“The loudest ones usually offer the biggest,” said Lyon with a smile.

“You!”

“That’s crossing the line, new teacher, you don’t want us to be your enemy,” said Vina with furrowed brows.

“Hey, loosened up, I’m just joking,” said Lyon as he shrugged. “It’s not like any of you would bribe someone like me right? It’s not like you would rig Class Six for a selfish purpose right? It’s not like that commoner and the elites of the Second Heaven… are different, right?” Lyon smirked. He looked at each of their faces but none of them dared to answer. “Perhaps, I was wrong?”

“Do you like to hunt, Teacher Lyon?” asked Yama. “Because I do.”

“I like to hunt beautiful women,” said Lyon.

“I’m serious,” answered Yama.

Lyon didn’t answer back but merely raised one of his brows as he slowly lowered his chin whilst maintaining eye contact.

“I thought you already have a wife,” asked Cini.

“I have three,” Lyon answered.

“Tch! Pervert,” said Vina as she glared at him.

“Do you want to be the fourth?” Lyon raised his brows.

“As if!”

“Haha, I’m just joking, why are you so flustered?” asked Lyon before he stood up, “Well, this has been a nice chat, but I have a matter to do, see you all tomorrow.”

Lyon left the faculty office without any weight pulling him down. His shoulders were as light as feathers as he closed the door. However, not much so for the teachers he left.
