Chapter 599: Abium's Gift
Charles tried his best to look at the human figure made of scorching light and asked.
"Is there a way for me to return to Earth?"
"I didn't expect your first question would be this one." Abium deliberated for a moment and added with a nod.
"Yes, you can. Although it's only been around 10 years since you died, many things might have changed over there. (A/N: Time difference between Earth and Edhen World is around 1:2.) The ghost organization you were in part of was entirely annihilated due to interference of ASIS seven years ago and even your former friend Angele got arrested for human trafficking. As for your organization leader, he committed suicide."
"You intervened?" Charles asked. After all, he knew how the Ghost organization worked and was well aware of the dealing with the Australian government.
"No. I didn't. But after your transmigration, government changed. Surprisingly, an indigenous Australian became a higher official and sought revenge for the massacre of his village people."
Upon hearing those words, Charles fell into deep silence and soon sighed.
"It seems I don't need to return there. Anyway, is it possible to stop the upcoming disasters?"
"I wouldn't have given out a mission if it isn't possible to stop, right?" Even though Abium's appearance was made of pure light elemental energies, Charles saw a grin on his face.
"Thankfully, your strength is still low. If you were a Rank-9 [Crimson Paragon], the disasters would be more severe than this." Abium said calmly.
'Crimson Paragon?'
Meanwhile, Charles furrowed his brows at the new ranking name and asked further.
"Can you tell me about the 'Wisdom Heart' mission?"
"This is a very secret mission. Although the other Gods, including Nyara, are thinking that I'm after Wisdom God's divinities, but my real goal is to get the Wisdom Tree's heart. And, only he knew where that Wisdom Tree is located."
"Wisdom Tree? Wait... World Tree of Edhen World disappeared after the First Arcane Era and there are still many people, including Gods, going to the Endless Sea to search for its location..." A look of understanding appeared on Charles's face.
"So, who is this Wisdom God?"
"You remember Demi-God Raphael? He is the last Elven Emperor and also the Wisdom God. And, he actually married the Guardian of Wisdom Tree a few millennium ago and gave birth to a unique existence called Wisdom Child recently. You have met her before."
Charles's face froze as he heard those words.
'Sylvia? I always thought something was off about her, but didn't expect her to be something unique.'
"Anyway, I'll attack Raphael's Divine kingdom within two years and drive him back to the Edhen World. After that, you'll have twenty years to capture or kill him and learn more about this Wisdom Tree's location. If you manage to find the Wisdom Tree, you just need to steal the 'Wisdom Heart' from it." Abium's words made him at a loss.
"Isn't the World Tree a part of Edhen World? Will the 'Will of Edhen World' allow me to act as I please?" Charles asked.
Meanwhile, Abium shook his head and spoke.
"What made you think that the World Tree belongs to this world? And, what made you think that this World Will is actually Edhen World's true will?"
Noticing the puzzling face, Abium let out a chuckle and spoke.
"World Trees are nothing but parasitic organisms, Charles. Don't you find it strange that Edhen World has a Will on its own but not Earth? In truth, even Edhen World was nothing but an empty habitable land during the Age of Origin Time. But some outer force intervened and made these world Trees to control over all the worlds and the life forms. After that incident, these World Trees kept sucking all the life essences released by all living organisms and has grown powerful enough to even take care of tens of High Gods at once. Although they hadn't reached the realm of Sovereignty, they are as powerful as the 'Phoenix' you saw inside the Red Sun. Low World, High World, or Supreme World, the 'Will of these Worlds' are omnipotence in that particular world but they are nothing but caged parasites in reality."
Abium's words made Charles look at the world from a new perspective.
"Who is this outer existence that intervened?" Charles couldn't help but get more curious.
"I have limited knowledge on the subject, but I am certain that these entities cannot directly interfere. Are you familiar with Earth's Theory of Multiverse? It bears a resemblance to what I am referring to. However, our Universe is not boundless but rather a finite realm. Surprisingly, we have only scratched the surface, having explored less than 1% of our vast Universe. Just like our Universe, I speculate the existence of numerous other realms governed by truly sovereign beings."
"This is getting more and more interesting." Charles nodded his head.
"As for the interference of the World's Will, you don't have to think too much about it. At that time, it won't even have any time to spare a glance at you." Abium said in a mysterious tone.
"Then, it's good. And, I want a little change in my reward. Instead of giving me the coordination of any one of the Seven Mystic Worlds, I want the coordination of Elder Plane."
"You sure you want to go there? Unlike here, High Gods and Taboo Existences roam everywhere. Even Legendary Mages are nothing but cannon fodders during large scale battles between Guilds and organizations. But if you go to any one of the Seven Mystical Worlds, you might get some opportunities to strengthen yourself." Abium suggested.
On the other hand, Charles shook his head and spoke.
"If I'm not wrong, you picked up the souls who only played the Mystic game, right? If so, all the important items might have already been scrapped out by the other transmigrators. Moreover, I don't need any artifacts to rely on. What I need is a good environment and opportunistic place." He suddenly thought of something and asked.
"Do you know where can I get my next Class Gem? If possible, can you tell me about the rank name?"
"You can get that thing only in Mystic Tower. Even that one has to be 'Fire' related one. That's why I made a suggestion to let you go to one of the Seven Mystical Worlds. Although more than dozens of Mystic Towers are there in Elder Plane, all of them are controlled by powerful organizations and Guilds. So, it's impossible for a Legendary Mage like yourself to even join a Low Rank guild over there. But if go to any one of those seven worlds, you will have an easier time to rank up further." Abium's words made him ponder deeply.
Noticing the hesitation, Abium went further and added.
"Another thing is you might even have a chance to get your hands on a unique Fire Law when killing Nightshade Raven or Abyssal Crow."
Upon hearing those words, Charles's face changed.
"Nightshade Raven... Isn't it the Final Boss monster of Garden of Undead? And, Abyssal Serpent is actually a Deity of Fallen World."
'The 'Mystic Worlds' game has Seven World maps. Each world is more difficult than the previous one and has several restrictions. Also, each world's power system differs from others, making the game more complicated. Although every player initially played only to experience the realistic virtual game, many became addicted to it because of this complicated world-building. But even exploring a single world would take more than six months in playtime. Even after playing for three years continuously, I only managed to clear 4 out of seven world maps. What's more amazing is that I only know a few hidden pieces of information. But as far as I know, the highest rank artifacts I got over there are mostly Legendary ones. The same goes for all players.'
Upon seeing him in deep thought, Abium made a fake cough and spoke.
"I made the Game Worlds similar to let the selected transmigrates have some advantage. But don't expect it will be like in the game. The real world will have more mysteries and even have many powerful hidden existences."
Abium's words made Charles fall into deep thoughts again.
"Then, my obvious choice would be Garden of Undead. Although it's difficulty is so high and I also haven't completely cleared that map, that map indeed has some unique items. Wait." Charles paused for a moment and asked.
"Is the transmigirator still alive in Garden of Undead?"

"I understand." Charles nodded in agreement and then asked the following question.
"What should I do with Udnir? He seems to be searching for you non-stop."
Upon hearing those words, Abium thought for a moment and shook his head.
"I expected his arrival, but not this early. Well, as long as you keep yourself hidden, he won't come and look for you. After all, his goal is not you but me." He suddenly recalled something, created a strange golden badge of thin air, and tossed it to him.
"This badge has a few 'Fire Law' power and also some information about 'Fire Pathway.' This will be my final gift to you. With this badge, even the Pope of Sun Church will bow his head and listen to your every word. Anyway, it's time for us to part away." He suddenly remembered something and added.
"Ah, the badge also has a special coordination. Once you get the Wisdom Heart, you should keep it with yourself and come and find me at the specific coordination after a span of 1000 years."
The surroundings shimmered as he spoke and broke into millions of light particles.
