Chapter 394: Leaving

A second later, Zera reappeared in the Rebirth Tower's underground hall and looked around.

It was Rebirth Tower's Level-0 layer!

The Holem's Crown created this layer solely for blocking the prying eyes and do forbidden experiments. Unlike the other ground basement hall in the old mansion, this one appeared five times larger.

The ceiling, floor, and even the pillars were filled with countless golden and crimson runal characters.

It was the multi-layered 'Seven-Leaf' magic formation!

Even the World's Will would find it hard to spy inside!

At that moment, a white-haired old man sat on a wooden chair and was in the middle of writing something on a scroll.

As he noticed Zera's arrival, Oswald paused for a moment, placed the quill near the table, and spoke.

"Good job. You can go back and continue your surveillance work."

Then, he shifted his gaze towards the right side wall and soon zeroed his focus on a particular gem-like leaf.

"He is late." A deep sigh leaked out of his mouth.

Rebirth Temple's Sacrum, God's Mountain, Fire Bird's Fallen Divine Domain, Dungeon of the Lost Tombs.

In his fire-elemental form, Charles lay on the concrete floor and stared at the ceiling with a deep look in his eyes.

On the other hand, Ivory knelt beside him and chanted in a unique language while creating mysterious letters before sending them into his elemental form.

It's been more than 45 minutes since Ivory started the heart transplantation process.

Unfortunately, it took more time than she had expected.

For the next five minutes, she continued to do the process and finally ended her chant.

The next instant, Charles felt a strange connection appeared between his original body, soul, elemental form, and his Inner World!

The next instant, he closed his eyes, entered his Inner World, and soon looked up at the dark sky.

Unlike before, the [Heart of Fire] spell model shone in a dazzling red light.

Upon seeing this, Charles disappeared from there, reappeared in the dark sky, and flew towards the spell model.

Within a few seconds, he arrived in front of the spell model and soon widened his eyes as he saw a beating crimson heart inside the spell model!

But what shocked him more was that he felt a deep sense of sacredness and holiness when looking at the heart.

'Success. What can this heart do?' He closed his eyes, sent a part of his wisdom power into the spell model, and tried to examine it.

Unfortunately, he found no answer from the beating heart.

'But I can vaguely tell that I have a chance to change my Destiny. Unfortunately, my chance to successively change my Destiny only rose from 0 to 5%. Unless a big miracle happens, I would fail miserably and die a horrible death.' But Charles wasn't anxious at all.

'I've my plans.' As he was about to leave his Inner World, he suddenly sensed a change within his soul and frowned.

'One of my clones died? Which one?' He narrowed his eyes in suspicion and soon descended.

At that moment, a white cloud came from the dark sky and soon landed on his palm. Meanwhile, Charles grabbed the cloud and directly pushed it into his chest.

A second later, images of Edith's final moments flashed in front of his eyes in the form of images!

"A soul-related class?" A flash of surprise appeared on Charles's face. He also learned of Titus's death and turned solemn.

'Prophecy came true, huh... It should be Goddess Sasha's doing. But the problem is where he will reincarnate next. I hope my Will help him change his Destiny.' A deep sigh leaked out of his mouth.

Currently, Charles wasn't even powerful enough to change his Destiny without external help.

So, even if he made dozens of plans for Titus, the chance of him succeeded in changing Titus's Destiny was close to zero.

'Now, I should think about how to kill this Arch-Mage.' A grim look appeared on his face.

After some thoughts, he shook his head and left his Inner World. He then opened his eyes in the sanctum, looked at his muscular body, and sat up.

Meanwhile, Ivory sat next to him with an exhausted expression on her face and spoke thoughtfully.

"The transplantation process is over. If you end up in a life or death situation, chant a word called 'Birreth,' and the heart will do the rest."

"What is this Heart's ability?" Charles asked, full of confusion.

"I've no idea about it. But I think this heart has something to do with the Rebirth Star. Don't worry; if your luck isn't terrible, you'll manage to escape death." Ivory said with a mysterious smile on her face and was about to say something but froze.

She then touched her spatial ring, turned her gaze towards the right side, and waved her hand.

A second later, a spatial crack appeared at the center of the sanctum and soon formed into a two-meter tall portal!

"You can go back now. I've few other things to do." Ivory added with an urging tone.

Although Charles felt something was amiss, he didn't put too much thought into it and nodded his head in agreement. Then, he took out a plain cotton shirt and enchanted leather coat from his space ring, wore them over his muscular body, and walked towards the portal.

Then, he enveloped his body with pure wisdom power and leaped into the spatial vortex.

As Ivory watched him disappearing into the void, she breathed out a sigh of relief and closed the portal. After that, she hurriedly took out the crystal box that sealed the symbiote and tossed it on the floor.

At that moment, more than ten cracks appeared on the crystalline box, and it seemed to be on the verge of exploding.

Like she had expected, the whole crystalline box exploded in a few seconds!

On the other hand, the eerie black symbiote let out a shrill cry and started to grow at an unimaginable speed.

In 10 seconds, the whole symbiote creature enlarged into a one-meter tall blob-like thing and transformed into a humanoid shape.

A few seconds later, a human figure appeared in front of Ivory's eyes.

No!

It wasn't a human figure but a Red Human!

Moreover, the Red Human was a small kid!

He had crimson hair, pure white eyes and appeared to be around 155 cm tall.

If Charles were here, he would've identified him in an instant.

He was none other than Casper, whom he met in the library!

"What are you planning to do, Casper?" Ivory paused for a moment and then asked in a cold tone.

"Or, should I call you 'the World Eater'?"

Meanwhile, Casper blinked his white eyes for a second and soon shook his head.

"I'm not the mindless World Eater anymore. For now, I'm planning to go back to the Fire-Elemental Plane and get my other selves back." An eerie voice came out of the young kid's mouth.

"Then? Are you planning on corrupting the World from inside?" Ivory asked while maintaining a calm expression on her face.

But at that moment, a dense amount of fire-elemental energy gathered in her hand.

"Corrupt the World? No. When those beasts destroyed my true body, I acted out of instinct and tried to contaminate a single divine beast. In the end, I succeeded in taking over the Dragon's soul and became a unique being. Alas, those Divine Beasts sensed my presence in the Dragon's soul, split his soul, and sealed me in four different dungeons using their body parts as sealing materials. Unfortunately, those beasts underestimated me too much." An evil smirk appeared on the kid's face as he said those words.

"Anyway, I'm planning to walk on the path of mortals. That's why I created this mortal body." He added.

In the meantime, Ivory took a few steps backward, opened another portal, and spoke.

"Leave."

On the other hand, Casper wore an amusing smile on his face, went near the portal, and jumped into it.

Once Ivory noticed that the kid left the sacrum, she hurriedly closed the portal and breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Finally! That thing has gone!" A forced smile appeared on her face.
