Volume 2 - CH extra 4

In which tsundere Qin Feng strikes again! Mourning over love lost to his brother to Young Master Lin.

Content warning (hmmm… I’d rate this… like when you order a medium-rare steak but it ends up coming out rare, and you don’t mind rare steaks, but you’d really prefer it medium-rare, you know? so, it depends on how you look at it):

Slight dubious consent at the very end, I guess? But Qin Feng kind of dug the pit himself so… [/thinking emoji]

Volume 2, Extra 4

In this period of time, Qin Feng had been extremely gloomy.

First was the news of the marriage of that female celebrity he had been chasing all this time; without the least warning, she was now set to marry the Lin family’s littlest young master. Of course, Qin Feng would never admit that he was any less than that surnamed Lin, but marriage…? Tsk, he could never imagine hanging himself on one tree this early. So the only thing he could do was retreat and allow someone else to hold that beauty.

And then, he had made a few mistakes while handling some affairs at the company, making his dad so angry that the other almost had a heart attack, and the power he had obtained with such difficulty had all fallen back into his brother Qin Zhiyuan’s hands. OK then, that was also just fine. Besides, he’d never been suited to business.

The thing that was the hardest for Second Young Master Qin was actually that lovable and charming little lover of his brother’s.

Ptui! Ptui! Ptui!

Wrong, wrong! Gu Yan wasn’t lovable or charming; even though he was born with a pointlessly beautiful face, he was just a hooligan!

When Qin Feng thought back to how Qin Zhiyuan had brought Gu Yan back home for a meal a few days ago, he was so angry he could spit blood. He had seen shameless people before, but he had never witnessed this much shamelessness in his life! They hadn’t even considered who he, Qin Feng, was and even actually d-dared to…

Qin Feng felt more suffocated the more he thought about it, but luckily his friend called at that moment to invite him out to drink, and he thus drove over to the nearby pub. The friend who called him over was surnamed Xie and was a master of drinking and playing just like him, always messing around aimlessly in the entertainment circle. Recently, he even had his name listed as an Assistant Director on a certain film and was living his days fairly comfortably.

As Qin Feng drank, he also complained bitterly about his suffering. Xie Wen listened with a grin and, in the end, said in consolation, “Isn’t it just a woman, so what’s the big deal? With your skill, Young Master Qin, how can you be afraid of not being able to find someone better?”

Believing that Qin Feng was hurt because of Bai Weiwei’s marriage, he thus said extremely enthusiastically, “There’s quite a few beautiful young celebrities in our cast and crew. Do you want me to introduce some of them to you?”

Qin Feng waved his hand, feeling his interest waning.

Ever since he failed his pursuit of Bai Weiwei, he hadn’t gotten a new girlfriend in a long time. It wasn’t that he hadn’t encountered alluring or lovable people, it was that every time, every time… that damned Gu Yan would suddenly appear, running back and forth in his mind.

No, no, no!

He didn’t have any special feelings for Gu Yan! He simply… simply didn’t feel reconciled, that’s all! That’s right, he simply liked to steal his brother’s things, and since he didn’t manage to steal this one in the end, he just felt a bit disappointed, that was it.

Qin Feng continuously guzzled down alcohol. His alcohol tolerance originally wasn’t very good, and he was drinking particularly fiercely tonight, so he started feeling somewhat drunk not soon afterwards. Faintly, he heard Xie Wen take a call, saying in fits and bursts, “Yes, yes… that’s right, it’s that bar…”

Qin Feng narrowed his eyes and asked, “What is it?”

“Nothing, just an important document I forgot to grab, so I found someone to send it over here.”

“You’re quite incredible now that you’re an Assistant Director, able to order people around this well.”

“Haha, how could I possibly compare to you, Young Master Qin.”

In the time it took these two to crack jokes, the person running an errand for Xie Wen had already arrived — it was a youth wearing a black shirt, with a pair of rimless glasses sitting on his nose, his profile looking quite graceful. On the whole, he looked refined and elegant, his quiet and innocent appearance sharply contrasting with the bar’s atmosphere.

For an instant, Qin Feng thought he was looking at Gu Yan.

Of course, that was only an illusion brought on by the alcohol.

That person simply looked only a little similar to Gu Yan, especially when comparing their profiles. That straight nose along with those black eyes were quite attractive.

Qin Feng felt as if he had become even more intoxicated. After saying a few words to Xie Wen, that youth then left in a hurry, but Qin Feng was still trapped, unable to regain his senses, his eyes continuously staring at the doorway as he asked, “What’s his name?”

“Who?” Xie Wen startled for a moment before realizing, “Are you talking about Ye Fei?”

“Ye Fei?” Qin Feng repeated this name again and then asked, “What does he do?”

“Oh, he’s a small-time actor in one of the supporting roles. What? Has Young Master Qin taken an interest in him? Your tastes sure change quickly.”

“His looks aren’t bad.”

“His facial features do look pretty good, and there’s even some people who say he looks like that popular celebrity… uh, what was his name?”

“Gu Yan.”

“Thank you, yes, that Gu Yan! It’s a pity that you’re not guaranteed success even if you do look good.”

Qin Feng nodded his head in agreement.

Hadn’t Gu Yan also been unsuccessful in the past? And then the person met his brother and skyrocketed to fame. Those in the entertainment circle didn’t just need skills, they also needed luck.

“That Ye Fei… how are his acting skills?”

Xie Wen smiled when he heard. “He’s only ever acted in little roles as background characters, so how can anyone see how his acting skills are? But he’s quite hard-working. Even if he has only a few lines in the script, he’s able to fill an entire page with the character’s inner thoughts.”

“He’s unable to become popular even with this?”

“Ah, with actors, what’s the point of having only acting skills? They need to be slick and know how to conduct themselves. Although this Ye Fei’s appearance isn’t bad, it’s a pity that his personality is too honest. I think he’s doomed to be in a supporting role for a lifetime.”

Qin Feng also followed along in laughing, softly swirling the alcohol in his glass as he said in a low voice, “That might not be necessarily true.”

***

When Qin Feng walked into the hotel room, Ye Fei was already quietly sitting on the edge of the bed.

He still wore an elegant and simple shirt, the pure black color making his skin tone look even more fair, the rimless glasses on his nose reflecting some metallic light, his eyes both calm and beautiful. The moment he saw Qin Feng come in, he nodded his head and greeted, “Mr. Qin.”

His attitude was extremely natural, not at all nervous or embarrassed, as if having no idea that they were about to go forward with a certain transaction.

Qin Feng conversely was somewhat uncomfortable. Walking over to the bed, he stood there for a while before asking, “Did Xie Wen mention what I wanted?”

“Yes, even if Director Xie hadn’t said so, I have long already heard about you, Mr. Qin.”

“How did he… explain it to you.”

Ye Fei raised his head to shoot him a glance and said, with as calm a tone as could be, “He said if I wanted to keep my current role, then I’d have to sleep with you.”

Qin Feng almost collapsed on the spot.

He really wished he could drag Xie Wen over and give that person a beating!

How did that asshole usually conduct business? Did he have to threaten someone so directly?

Qin Feng was afraid that Ye Fei was feeling somewhat resistant and hurried to explain, “Don’t misunderstand, I had Xie Wen find you in order to give you an opportunity. As long as you’re willing to be with me, then you’ll have more acting opportunities in the future. And you also don’t have to act as those second- or third-rate minor characters anymore, I’ll guarantee you roles as the lead…”

He hadn’t even finished talking before Ye Fei opened his mouth to say, “Stop blathering and take off your clothes.”

“Huh?”

“I’ve already taken a bath before coming here. Do you want to wash up?”

“N-no need.”

Ye Fei then made a sound in acknowledgment and moved to unbutton his shirt.

Qin Feng was having some trouble adjusting. All those men and women he’d interacted with in the past had mostly rushed over on the basis of his identity as the second young master of the Qin family, but no matter how vain those people were, at this kind of time, they wouldn’t act this… uh, unrestrained. The champagne, sweet words, and flirtatious methods he prepared beforehand all didn’t have a single chance to be used.

Ye Fei very quickly took off his shirt.

Qin Feng’s eyes grew wide as he watched.

Ye Fei’s physique was very good… Better than Qin Feng had anticipated. He had never expected this person to be the type who was “skinny with clothes but impressive without”, and he couldn’t help but ask, “Do you usually work out?”

“Sometimes I’ll exercise for a bit.”

“Y-your muscles are very pretty.”

“Thank you.”

When Ye Fei finished saying those words, he had already taken off his pants, but he didn’t lie down obediently on the bed as Qin Feng imagined. It was the opposite. He reached out his hands and, with a single pull, directly dragged Qin Feng down beneath him!

T-t-this… was taking too much initiative!

Qin Feng finally realized that something wasn’t quite right and struggled to ask, “What are you doing?”

Ye Fei unfastened his buttons one by one as he said, as if it was a matter of course, “I’m getting in bed with you.”

They were indeed in bed, that’s true, but why was he the one who was being pressed down? Weren’t their understandings of the situation leagues apart from one another?

“No! You’ve got it wrong!” Qin Feng discovered that Ye Fei’s strength was astonishing, and he wasn’t able to crawl up even after struggling for a long while, so the only thing he could do was shout out, heedless of his image, “Did Xie Wen not explain it to you? I… ohhh…”

“Director Xie has explained everything to me.” Ye Fei took off his glasses and threw it aside before using his burning-hot lips to block Qin Feng’s mouth. His voice was deep and hoarse, “Don’t worry, Mr. Qin. I’ll perform very well.”

Unlike Director Lin’s story, I’m actually… not sure if Qin Feng has his own story? I don’t think so, but I’d have to check more carefully LOL.

Anyway, this is the end! Thank you for sticking around! It was an experience getting this out as quickly as I did, and I… probably won’t ever try doing this again. It was rough! But I’m glad I made it in time.

I hope you enjoyed this story even just half as much as I did, haha. And if you didn’t, that’s fine too! I hope you enjoy the next one you read~

EPUB/PDF will be up…  whenever I look over this and edit it again, because the last few chapters had really shoddy editing jobs oops.
