CH 2.2

Because of the big difference in height between the man and Dohyun, he could barely support the other.

Unknown to him, the man swallowed a smile while watching Dohyun moving his feet vigorously.

Plump-

The man sat on the bench as if collapsing.

Dohyun hesitated in front of him.

Shouldn’t I take him to the hospital right now?

The man’s complexion didn’t look good.

While Dohyun was thinking about that, the man knocked on the seat next to him.

“You come and sit down, too.”

Dohyun, who was a little worried, sat down a little farther away from the man.

Dohyun, sitting on a bench and inspecting the man’s face, realized that the man was younger than he thought.

He must have been in his early to mid-twenties.

He was staring at the stranger, feeling curious. As time passed, the other’s eyebrows, which had been distorted in pain, regained their shape.

“Thank you for your help. I didn’t expect to see a fellow Asian here. I am Jung Heesung. You?”

Dohyun was a little surprised to learn that Jung Heesung was Korean.

Dohyun stopped speaking English and answered in Korean.

“I am Lee Do-hyun.”

Jung Heesung reacted one beat slower to the suddenly heard Korean.

“…Uh? Are you Korean too?”

“Yes.”

Strictly speaking, he had dual nationality, but being Korean was not wrong.

“It’s a coincidence. The kid I met at the park is of the same nationality. It’s the first time I’ve felt welcome after hearing Korean.”

He didn’t know that Dohyun would talk in Korean here, so he felt a little strange.

“But why are you here… ah.”

Jung Heesung found Dohyun’s clothes belatedly and just blurted out his words.

Dohyun got used to that reaction.

“It’s a strange coincidence.”

“Why?”

“I am also a patient at that hospital.”

At Jung Heeung’s words, Dohyun’s eyes widened.

Jung Heesung thought that expression was like that of a surprised rabbit.

Dohyun’s gaze reached the hem of Jung Heeseong’s trousers.

The other was wearing a long coat, so he didn’t notice it until now, but the tip of the clothes that were peeking out was the same design as Dohyun’s.

“What were you hospitalized for?”

“Because of illness. I have a rather rare disease.”

At those words, Dohyun realized.

A person who is suffering from a rare disease who Dohyun, who has been in the hospital for a long time, has never seen before.

This is the man Benjamin was talking about.

If so, it was understandable that Dohyun had never seen Jung Heesung.

This man must have arrived here recently.

As Dohyun continued his thoughts, he realized he cared too much about this person.

Was it looked sick? Because he had the same disease?

Dohyun, who was thinking about this and that and trying to infer his actions, stiffened up when he saw Jung Heesung sitting comfortably next to him.

Jeong Hee-seong did not avoid him and didn’t mind Dohyun’s presence at all.

Yes, it was because the other treated himself so naturally that it bothered him so much.

Dohyun asked with a look of disbelief.

“Are not uncomfortable sitting next to me?”

After asking, Dohyun felt awkward.

It’s embarrassing, asking such a question.

Dohyun added to his words so as not to make things difficult.

“I was just asking because if you feel uncomfortable with me sitting next to you, I would move to another bench.”

Now he’s going to ask me to leave.

Dohyun waited for Jung Heesung’s answer, but the answer that came back differed completely from what he expected.

“Why? Just sit there.”

A sloppy tone, a sloppy expression. Dohyun stared at Jung Heesung to gauge his sincerity and finally said what he wanted to say.

“If you feel uncomfortable. Just be honest, it wouldn’t matter to me.”

“Huh?”

Jung Heesung looked at Dohyun with a puzzled expression.

“I’m not trash enough to hate the kid who helped me?”

“It’s not that kind of problem.”

“I don’t know what the problem is. What’s certain is that I don’t hate you, and I don’t mind if you keep sitting there.”

Rather, I’m more curious… – Jung Heesung muttered in a low voice.

Dohyun suppressed the strange feeling inside him and blinked at the other.

A child who even his parents didn’t want.

Benjamin, who was trying to cure Dohyun’s illness, didn’t want him to get closer than a certain distance, let alone Kayla.

Kayla did more for him than the previous caregiver, so he had nothing to blame her for.

In this kind of situation, he gradually gave up being accepted by someone.

Suddenly, he felt warmth above his head.

Dohyun’s thoughts, which continued to expand, were forcibly stopped.

Jung Heesung, who tousled Dohyun’s hair, lifted the corner of his mouth and grinned.

“I don’t know what you’re thinking so hard about, but a child shouldn’t think too much.”

The moment Dohyun was about to answer, his cell phone rang.
