Chapter 25

“Oh? Are you showing concern for me?” Mu Qianyue blinked. Every time she saw him, she couldn’t resist the urge to choke him.

“Hey! You stupid woman, try choking me again if you dare! Are you addicted to choking me?” Tianshuo glowered at her, his eyes practically shooting fire.

When she saw his furious expression, Mu Qianyue chuckled. “I just can’t help myself! You know that I have no immunity towards young handsome guys like you!”

“Hmph! At least you have good taste.” Tianshuo let out a smug ‘hmph’. If he dared to call himself the number one gorgeous person on earth, nobody would dare claim to be number two, okay?

“I mean it. Your body has already reached its limit. Don’t tell me you didn’t notice the yin fire in your body is overly vigorous?” Tianshuo said after a pause, his countenance serious.

“Overly vigorous yin fire?” Question marks and black lines were plastered all over Mu Qianyue’s face. Did that mean that she needed to balance her yin and yang?

“Damn, are you a fool! Hmph!” Tianshuo scolded angrily as though reading what was on Mu Qianyue’s mind.

Mu Qianyue’s mouth twitched. “It’s your explanation that’s problematic, okay? How can you blame me? Well then what are you saying I should do?”

“There is mutual promotion and restraint between the Five Elements on earth and it’s important that Yin and Yang are balanced. You only need to find the Raging Fire Spring and soak in it for two hours, for that is where pure Yang energy lies,” said Tianshuo.

“Raging Fire Spring?” Mu Qianyue frowned. If she remembered correctly, she seemed to have read about it in a book before. After straining her brain to recall what she had read about after pondering for a moment, she rolled her eyes in annoyance. “You make it sound so simple. It’s extremely hard to find the Raging Fire Spring. I don’t even know where to begin searching. Do you have any other solution?”

“Yes.”

“Quick, tell me.”

“Die.”

“Damn you! You’re just making a fool of me!”

Tianshuo curled his lips gleefully. “Do as you deem fit. It’s okay even if you don’t manage to find the Raging Fire Spring. I’ll do a sending for your soul to increase your chances of reincarnating into a good family in your next lifetime.”

“Thank you very much then!” Mu Qianyue quipped sarcastically.

“No need for thanks.”

Mu Qianyue nearly turned the library upside down, yet she didn’t manage to find any useful information regarding the Raging Fire Spring. In the end, she finally managed to sound out the location of the Raging Fire Spring from her older brother Mu Rufeng.

Rumor had it that there existed a Raging Fire Spring in the Ghost King’s Netherworld Palace.

Where was the Netherworld Palace located?

Nobody knew.

Mu Qianyue’s pretty brows creased. Although she had pondered over it for half a day, she still didn’t feel any more enlightened. In the end, she decided to dismiss it from her mind and go and train with everyone in the training grounds.

Like that, the sun set and the moon rose, and before she knew it, another day had passed.

After taking a bath, Mu Qianyue changed into a purple dress and speedily left the Defender Marquis Manor, heading straight for the Prince Jing Manor on South Street.

As she considered the tightly-shut scarlet door, Mu Qianyue’s lips curled slightly. She directly walked to the courtyard wall and flipped over it to enter the manor.

With eyes fixated on the woman who had leapt over the wall, a trace of killing intent was revealed in Cang Ming’s eyes. This woman indeed had ulterior motives for getting close to the Hereditary Prince!

“Master, let me dispose of her.” He wouldn’t let off anyone who wished to inflict harm on his master, regardless of who it was.

“Whoever injures her, shall die!” Nalan Jing’s lilac eyes emitted a swift and fierce murderous air and unyielding coldness.

“But, Master, what if she…” Cang Ming seemed reluctant to comply.

“Do you need me to repeat myself?” Nalan Jing frowned, the displeasure and killing intent in his eyes only seemed to intensify.

“Master…”

“Speak another word and you die.” The murderous intent emanating from Nalan Jing made him resemble Asura from hell. Cang Ming’s countenance changed, and ultimately he could only say, “Understood, Master.”

“Aren’t you getting lost?”

“Yes.”

Catching sight of that figure sneaking around in the courtyard, Nalan Jing’s gorgeous eyes narrowed slightly. A deep glint flickered across his glaze-like purple eyes which appeared dark and unfathomable.

Which room was it exactly?

Being her first time here in the Prince Jing Manor, Mu Qianyue had no idea where Nalan Jing was. Moreover, the bizarre thing was that not a single servant was in sight. It was deathly silent all around. If she hadn’t detected breathing in the hidden corners, she would have thought there simply wasn’t a single living soul here.

Bam! From the room ahead came a loud sound. Mu Qianyue’s brows furrowed as she walked up and pushed open the door, only to see a white figure kneeling beside the table, and bits of a smashed teacup all over the floor.

Bright red blood seeped from the youth’s fair fingertips.

Mu Qianyue hurried towards him and helped him up. “Let me.”

After leading him to a chair, she crouched down and carefully picked up the broken pieces on the ground before throwing them into a flower pot. Only then did she look up at him. With her pretty brows tightly creased, she asked, “Are you the only person left in the manor? Are there no servants around?”

A trace of a glow flickered across Nalan Jing’s lilac pupils. With his gaze lowered, he answered in a pitiful manner. “No. All along it’s only been me. They all despise and have no respect towards me. That’s why eventually it’s always been me alone…”

Upon hearing this, Mu Qianyue walked up to him. “Don’t be afraid. You have me in the future. I’ll take care of you.”

After these words left her mouth, Mu Qianyue wanted to give herself a tight slap across the face. Mu Qianyue, Mu Qianyue… Why was she poking her nose into someone else’s business again? And she even promised to take care of him?

As she took in his heaven-defyingly good looks and pure innocent gaze, Mu Qianyue sighed. Indeed, she had no immunity towards gorgeous men!

“Really? That’s great! My dear, you promised me. Don’t go back on your word!” Nalan Jing said with a smile, his lilac eyes sparkling even more brightly.

“Mm.”

“Then you must come and visit me frequently.”

“Sure, no problem.” That was easy enough.

“My dear, did you come here especially to look for me?” The youth’s bright face was lit up with delight and anticipation.

Mu Qianyue nodded. “Didn’t I tell you I would heal your eyes and that scar on your body? I’m here to fulfill my promise.”

Seeing Nalan Jing’s slightly stunned expression, Mu Qianyue wanted to kill herself by banging her head against a piece of tofu… It seemed like she had expressed herself inappropriately again. Surely he wouldn’t think of her as a horny woman, would he?

Ah psccht!

She shook herself, mentally berating her own foolishness. Ever since she transmigrated here, her intellect seemed to have lowered by quite a bit.

She had nearly lost all of her moral integrity!

A trace of fury and killing intent flashed across the eyes of Cang Ming and Xuan Ye, who were hidden in a dark corner. But since their master didn’t give them orders, they didn’t dare to dash out recklessly.

When they saw Nalan Jing obediently remove his clothes as he was told, they were so stupefied that their eyes nearly popped out.

Didn’t Master always stay away from any form of womanizing all this time?

Why was it that they could sense their master deliberately acting cute and feigning blindness in front of Mu Qianyue?

When she saw the black tumor on Nalan Jing’s chest, her expression became serious.
