CH 11.4

The water was black. When he opened his eyes, Cha Myunghwan was lying naked at the bottom of him in the vast, deep sea. He stared at the black sea with a cold sneer. The tinnitus of the water, like the sound of a woman’s cry, ravaged his hair and skin. The space of death and annihilation was pitch-black darkness, and no life was felt. Cha Myunghwan exhaled desperately. His body, occupied by disease, gave off a rotten smell. A pile of sand around it was raised like a grave. The ghosts looking for a comrade screamed.

Cha Myunghwan screamed and struggled. Ice water filled his nose and mouth. Even though he kicked his feet in despair and fear, the pressure of the water that was crushing him couldn’t even move his fingers. The waters of despair ate the feeble feet. At that moment,

Ahhhh…

It was a reverberation richer than the great sea. It was colder than this darkness, and it was a muddy song. And it was heartrending and sorrowful. A thin wavelength resembling the sound of mammals in the deep sea formed a harmony with the sound of water. Soon the singing dominated light and darkness. The seal that bound Cha Myunghwan’s limbs unlocked. He swam as the voice led him. From afar, a red coil of light fluttered like a spirit dance. It floated leisurely like a demon of drift ice with its internal organs reflected.

Ahhh… Ah…

A fantastic song tempted him to come closer. He was afraid. It was kind of scary and creepy. Cha Myunghwan’s reason was rejected, but his instinct was following the voice. It was the moment when he was possessed by a voice thicker than blood, a beam of light rushed from the red mass. It dug into Cha Myunghwan’s skin and went deep inside. The light condensed inside spread out like a tentacle. In an instant, his skull was smashed, his eyeballs popped, his eardrums were dug out. Even Cha Myunghwan’s screams and the huge sea were swallowed up by the red vortex.

Uh, uh, keuaaah—!!

“Gasp! Urgh… !”

Cha Myunghwan stretched out his hand as if floundering in the water. Fresh air rushed into his nostrils and his eyes widened. In front of him was the interior of the room flooded in the red evening sun. It wasn’t the deep sea here. Cha Myunghwan got up and looked around the empty room. He didn’t even know how long he slept. It was such a vivid nightmare that he was sweating all over his body and his skin trembled. A feeling of silence without even the sound of the wind engulfed him with fear.

Cha Myunghwan nervously pressed the bell by his bedside. How could they leave a sick man alone! I will immediately fire them and make sure they don’t work in this industry again! Cha Myunghwan’s mouth was dry as if all the moisture in his body had dried up. His stomach was boiling as if he was about to vomit, and a chill crept into his bones. The strange state of his jittery body.

He suddenly remembered that raw voice that stimulated his hearing like crazy. No, it was more like he seemed to have a reverberation in his ear rather than remembering it in his mind. Starting with that, the sound waves gradually took over his brain. He wanted to hear it. He wanted to hear it again. The horrible stimulation that scraped the five senses and caused hallucinations.

‘That drug of a sound…’
