CH 26.3

Sull’aria…

On the breeze…

It was the sound of a cat stretching. The color of the voice, which does not harmonize anywhere, invaded the realm of Cocaine. Cocaine pulled his gaze away and gathered the notes firmly. He was filled with trepidation just before going to the battlefield.

Che soave zeffiretto…

What a gentle little Zephyr…

Zeffiretto…

A little Zephyr…

After that, Susanna’s soprano stretched out, snatching it from an angle.

Questa sera spirera…

This evening will sigh…

Questa sera spirera…

This evening will sigh…

Yaba’s tongue, which bounced off, spit out the words like needles. Pronunciation was also messed up, and if he pulled his neck and back like that, it’s hard to get a proper sound. Nor was it a standard breathing or vocalization method. However, Yaba’s transition between highs and lows was smooth and the vibrations were unique. Yaba made eye contact with Cocaine. The mocking eyes pulled the nerve cord. Cocaine flexibly caught up with his voice.

Sotto i pini del boschetto…

Under the pines in the little grove…

Sotto i pini.

Under the pines?

Yaba wiggled his lips and retorted the lyrics. Can you lure your husband with this? Aren’t there any more unusual phrases? A language that was so provocative that one’s husband would not be able to stand without running over to it. He was saying that. Yaba’s interpretation of the song was shocking and bizarre. But he couldn’t take his eyes off it.

Yaba was like a temptress who walked in the midst of all the men and served their gaze. Red lips and slightly raised eyes under the mask enriched the vision. Yaba’s dark and aggressive tone stretched out. It was the slime that covered the interior walls and decorations and the body of the Cha brothers inside, and even the dust was clinging to it.

He was nervous. He almost chewed on the lyrics. Cocaine had to work hard not to get caught up in Yaba’s pace. There were only a handful of people with Yaba alone like this. But something had changed. He couldn’t pinpoint it, but Yaba has definitely changed something. As if an abandoned instrument found a good resonance in someone’s hand…

Cocaine looked at Cha Yiseok without realizing it. As though his consciousness had already been sucked into another dimension, his eyes were as disorganized as they could be. Cha Yiseok took in his breath until his chest bulged. He stole his lips with his tongue the whole time, as if he inhaled a voice swimming in the air. The behavior seemed pathological. Like an addict whose head was addled with drugs.

Cha Myunghwan had a confused face with his lips open. At first glance, a red light appeared on his cheek. Cha Yiseok glanced at Cha Myunghwan from time to time with eyes like the tongue of a snake. Perhaps feeling the energy of an animal’s teeth, Cha Myunghwan glanced back at his half-brother.

There was no Cocaine anywhere in their gaze. He wanted to get his attention back. Cocaine raised his voice and pursued Yaba. But Yaba’s voice that followed up again lifted their five senses. It crashed into the reef and was swept away by the energy of the sea, causing foam.

Cocaine has become a Countess who had since stepped back into the back room. All that was left were jewels and clothes to cover up the poor years, and a malicious intent to trample the aristocratic woman who stayed up all night with a sigh and that lowly-born maid grew up. In the part where they sang together, the harmony of the two stood up and attacked each other.

Certo, certo il capira.

Certainly, certainly he’ll understand.

Canzonetta sull’aria…

On the breeze…

Che soave zeffiretto.

On the breeze.

Yaba’s treble was dazzlingly clean. As his song reached its climax, Cocaine’s mood became ragged. He was the one who selected the song and tried to provoke, but it was him who felt chased. He lost his original breath and curled up at the pace. What’s even more frustrating was that the song about friendship had turned into a duet that attacked each other, but it was perfect enough. It felt like falling off a cliff.

He couldn’t remember what song he sang after that. He just poured himself into the song, and Yaba encroached on Cocaine’s sound realm. By the time he finished all the songs he had prepared, his body was drenched in sweat. Cha Yiseok was an eye that floated from another dimension. Cha Myunghwan was dazed for a long time, unable to get out of the reverberation. Yaba left the room without looking back. Cha Myunghwan came to his senses and looked at the place where Yaba had disappeared.

“After interpreting and singing whatever he wanted… How much is he receiving from the lessons?”

Cha Myunghwan muttered something and chased after. Then he threw a word at Cocaine standing in the path.

“As expected, you’re dull. Being a healer is one thing, but aren’t you lacking practice?”

Yaba’s steps down the stairs became urgent. Cha Myunghwan pulled the IV drip and followed him with difficulty.

“Why are you leaving already? Don’t you have a song you prepared for yourself?”

Yaba stopped his steps and asked.

“Are you going to keep calling for him?”

“It’s only for today. If you want to go together, you can.”

“Then just call for him. Because I don’t want to go together.”

“Why? I heard you two live in the same house. Both of them were spectacular earlier.”

“Do we have to get along if we live together? Then why are you like that with your wife?”

“Why are you talking about that now?”

“Don’t waste your time dealing with this swindler, go and lick Cocaine’s feet. Now your life depends on him, isn’t that right?”

Cha Myunghwan wrinkled his brows.

“What are you so upset about? Fine. No need to beat around the bush, how much is it?”

Yaba looked at him.

“You’re a corpse without money, aren’t you? Then again, even if you have money, you’re still a corpse.”

“Be careful of what you say. There’s a limit to how much I can overlook you acting up! What the hell do you want me to do?”

“If you don’t have a clue, you should have a conscience. Do you think I don’t know that you called for Cocaine and me together today to humiliate me?”

“It’s my wife who called you two together. Then, is your expression so bad from earlier just because of that…”

Cha Myunghwan stopped his words and the corners of his mouth flickered.

“Are you jealous?”

“…”

“So you thought I was the one who called Cocaine…”

Yaba stared at him intently.

“You and I have one thing in common that’s that we can’t think of anything well. The difference is whether you were taken care of by your parents well or not.”

“Did you have parents too?”

“Then would I have been picked from the cabbage field?”

“I didn’t know because you were acting without a foundation. Anyway, what happened to your phone? Do you want me to buy you one?”

“I don’t need it. Just take good care of your wife at a time like this.”

He didn’t have the energy to fight anymore, so he hurried down the stairs. Cha Myunghwan grabbed Yaba’s arm.

“Fine. It’ll be okay if I call you separately right. Come back tomorrow.”

He didn’t like having them summoned at the same time, but he made a crack in the face of Cocaine…

“Mm.”

Yaba answered and turned around. He almost stumbled on his foot. For some reason, Cha Yiseok was standing at the end of the stairs. A dangerous light flickered in his gaze. Yaba threw away Cha Myunghwan’s hand and hurried down the stairs.

He busily walked across the garden. He heard neither a call nor a sound of footsteps. However, like the breath of a beast holding its breath in the swamp, the air scrawled behind his back. Yaba walked, looking only at the front door. It was particularly far from today. That was then. One of his hands smoothly wrapped around his arm.

“I think I told you not to come here.”

It was a voice that was sharp enough to tear the skin. Yaba reluctantly took a step back. This hand would twist his neck and snap it.

Yaba kicked Cha Yiseok’s shin as hard as he could with his free leg. The man let out a short moan and bent over. He threw the weight off and ran out the gate. He injured one of his legs and lost his speed. With all his might, he got into the van and locked the door.

“Hurry! Let’s go! Hurry!”

“What’s wrong? Where’s Cocaine?”

“I’ll explain why later! Hurry up and go! Hurry! Quickly!”

The thug was bewildered by the sound of his breathing. At that moment, Cha Yiseok came out of the gate and strode towards him. Tap, tap. He knocked the car glass gracefully, but his eyes were blazing to the extent of making one’s hair stand.

“Hurry up and go! He’ll kill me! He came to kill me!”

The thug started the engine hurriedly. It was because Cha Yiseok undoubtedly had that kind of momentum.

As the car accelerated, Cha Yiseok moved farther away. Yaba took a deep breath and looked back. As he turned the corner, he saw Cocaine coming out of the gate. He stood next to Cha Yiseok and looked at the van leaving with dismay. It felt like the top of Yaba’s head was smashed on a rock. He only thought he had to escape Cha Yiseok, but he didn’t even think about him being left alone with Cocaine. Yaba bit his nails and watched them move away. It felt like his heart was being ripped apart.

Cha Yiseok said as he watched the van disappear.

“Tell me why he is doing that.”

“He’s an unpredictable kid.”

Cocaine took off his mask and ran his hair down his forehead. And he stared at Cha Yiseok.

“I don’t have a car to go back with, what should I do?”
