Chapter 196 "Harry Potter"-2

As the cinema fell into dim darkness, the "Harry Potter" movie officially began, and the symbols of all three studios responsible for the production appeared at the film's beginning.

Samuel's production company was one of three; they had already established the company's core and, with a little more preparation, would soon begin to produce other movies and films under their banner.

The movie begins with the story of Lord Voldemort, an evil and powerful dark wizard who has just been defeated. When he tried to kill a one-year-old boy, Harry Potter, the killing curse rebounded upon him, destroying his body.

The audience wanted to see the full glimpse of the main villain, but the production crew didn't want to delve much deeper into it in the first movie.

Harry has left an orphan with a lightning-bolt scar on his forehead, and Voldemort has killed his parents, Lily and James Potter.

Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Gamekeeper Hagrid leave him on the doorstep of his ultra-conventional, insensitive, negligent Muggle relatives, the Dursley family, who take him in. Harry's relatives decide to conceal his magical heritage from him and make him live in a cupboard under the stairs for ten years.

It was a tragic beginning for the protagonist. But the atmosphere was vibrant due to the appearance of Samuel. The makeup artist did a good job of portraying his hardships through his wardrobes.

Anyone would have guessed those were secondhand clothes, a long oversized sweater with baggy pants. Also, the mistreatment of Harry hit differently when seeing him prepare the meals for the whole family.

"Poor child."

" How could they do this to such a cute kid."

" I can't believe they would go this far."

Some of the enthusiasts would occasionally voice their opinions loudly.

Shortly before Harry's eleventh birthday, he received a letter addressed specifically to him. However, his outraged uncle reads and burns it before Harry can look at the contents. The sender does not give up, and the Dursleys successively receive larger numbers of the same correspondence.

It was quite a funny scene that gave mixed emotions. Some laughed while few were glued to the screen, wanting to see what happen next.

They were hoping for a miracle, that somehow, Harry would finally read the letter, but no such thing happened.

The scene changed.

Soon, his Uncle Vernon becomes so paranoid that the Dursleys, with Harry in tow, hide in a hut on a small island to escape.

A storm was in full swing when they got an unexpected visitor.

That night which happens to be before Harry's birthday, he is visited by an enormous man named Hagrid, who bursts through the locked door of the hut. With Hagrid holding the Dursleys at bay, Harry finally reads his letter, in which he learns he has been invited to study magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Hate it or love it, the actors who played Harry's family did a spectacular job that automatically aroused anger in the audience's hearts. His aunt, who was always jealous of his sister, showed deep emotions when she talked about her.

The next day Harry and Hagrid head to Diagon Alley in London. Harry enters the wizarding world for the first time, learns to his surprise, that he is famous, and meets the new Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Quirrell. Hagrid takes Harry to Gringotts Bank, where Harry learns that he is quite wealthy.

Samuel, who played a helpless child clueless about how the world worked, was slowly adapting to his new reality. He was already a master of expressing emotions after learning it for countless hours under his teachers.

The surprised look when he first saw the market, the intense look when he confronted his cousin and the bewildered expression while witnessing the pile of gold were displayed perfectly on the big screen.

" It turned out much better than I expected." Laura, who was watching, said to her husband.

" Right, I always thought he was a genius in business, but now after seeing him act for the first time. I don't know anymore." Robert, a novice in these fields, still felt his son's talent.

" He is my little brother. Of course, he would have to be on this level." Mary said to Peter, who was sitting next to her.

" I don't agree. Samuel is much better in martial arts, I know he likes acting but I feel like his talents are wasted." Peter had a completely different view.

" Quite down, It is getting interesting." Kenneth was completely immersed in the movie. Unexpectedly, he liked it. It was a children's movie, but he liked it. How was that possible?

" Oh", Margaret, who witnessed everything, gained some vital information. Now, she got one new 'card' to tease her husband.

Following the movie, Hagrid stops at a different vault to retrieve a small, wrapped parcel for Dumbledore. Using his newfound money, Harry buys everything he requires for his first school year, including an owl and a wand. Interestingly, the wand that chooses him is the brother wand of the one used to kill Harry's parents and give him the scar.

The wind effect was a nice touch; it showed that Columbus cared about how he showed different scenes. It was his idea to avoid computer-generated videos as much as possible; thus, even if some scenes looked bad on the surface, the world became much more believable to the public.

In the next scene, Harry takes the train to Hogwarts from Platform Nine and three-quarters, befriending Ron Weasley and meeting Hermione Granger, a Muggle-born witch.

A few children cheered when they saw the three of them together; it was their first appearance as a team.

As usual, Emma shined in the scene showing her potential to be a bookworm. Rupert, the new airhead kid, liked to joke around to hide his weaknesses.

" I knew the black smudge was a nice touch." Samuel said.

" What? I never understood why they had to made me look so dirty. Wasn't Harry suppose to be like that?" Rupert hated this scene. He felt his expressions were weird, but the Director liked them so much that it went straight to the editorial section.

" It is not much different than your usual appearance, why are you making such a fuss about it?" Emma was direct about it.

" Look who's talking, who was making a fuss when they thought their character was too arrogant? Aren't both the same?"

" What are you trying to say?"

" That both you and her are the same, no, she is much better than you in term of personality."

"Wow, Rupert really is overzealous today. He is really digging his own grave." Samuel thought. He left those two to settle their differences while focusing on the screen.
