CH 29

In front of Mianmian, the Dean continued to explain the inspection results to the Duke: “The animal tail that appeared on the Duchess is just the beginning. More animal characteristics will appear in the future. Please don’t be surprised when you see it, and treat it with a normal heart. It’s a normal phenomenon.”

The Dean continued to warn: “If there are any problems or any other abnormal situations other than atavism, you must bring the Duchess over to check in time.”

Sivir nodded and wrote down everything the Dean said.

He asked to double-check, “Will Mianmian’s body be affected in the process of the appearance of animal-like characteristics?”

Tu Mianmian’s pale face was still vivid in his mind, and Sivir thought that it was a sign of physical discomfort when really, it was Tu Mianmian in a panic because he was afraid of being exposed as a rabbit demon.

“It depends on the situation.” The Dean wasn’t sure about this matter, and he shook his head: “It varies from person to person.”

“If the Madam is really uncomfortable, you can inject a soothing potion to ease the situation.” The Dean said this to explain that there wasn’t any need to come to the hospital for medication.

“In addition…” The Dean’s tone was slightly hesitant as he continued to talk.

He glanced at Sivir and Tu Mianmian, and then said apologetically, “The results of the examination show that there is a dark shadow in the Duchess’s abdomen, and it’s temporarily impossible to know what it is.”

Ga?

Tu Mianmian widened his eyes and looked at the Dean.

Could it be his demon pill?

""

Sivir frowned, “Isn’t there any way to know the specific situation based on the level of the Central Star Royal Hospital’s medical equipment?”

The Duke’s imposing manner was too fierce, so the Dean began to sweat, “Yes. However, the preliminary inspection results showed that there wasn’t anything harmful.”

“The latest medical equipment imported by the hospital from the empire next door is in transit, and it will be delivered to the Central Star in a few days.”

The Dean said with trepidation: “Why don’t we wait for the Duchess to check again after the new equipment arrives. We’ll check carefully and look at what that shadow in his abdomen is.”

“Oh, okay.” Tu Mianmian still thought it was just his demon pill.

He touched his belly and accepted everything well: “Then let’s take a look in a few days.”

Heartless, and carefree. jpg

Mianmian agreed readily, while the Duke hesitated for a moment, and then reluctantly agreed.

He instructed the Dean seriously: “Remember to send me a message on time after the equipment is delivered.”

“Of course.” The dean nodded.

Next, Sivir discussed a few other things with the Dean for a bit.

It was mainly because Sivir wanted to ask carefully about Tu Mianmian’s physical condition, and so the Dean answered honestly.

Tu Mianmian was a little bored waiting, so he watched the popular science video regarding atavism, accompanied by the nurse robot.

The video talks about the normality of atavism—the purpose is to reassure patients.

There was no need to be sensitive or insecure about it.

Tu Mianmian was not ashamed.

Especially since he saw that there was a policy that benefited atavistic citizens in the Imperial law, he became even more inflated.

So, when the Duke called his little husband to go home, Tu Mianmian had turned his head up and pretended to not hear very proudly.

Woo! Orcs were never slaves or humbled to anyone!

“Mianmian?” Sivir called him with a puzzled tone.

He thought Mianmian didn’t hear him, so he called out again: “Mianmian, let’s go home. Anderson has prepared supper and is waiting for us to go back to eat.”

Tu Mianmian: “…”

“Okay.” Tu Mianmian was delighted, and he hurriedly walked to the Duke’s side.

Orcs were never slaves or humbled.

Unless you pack food and send it over!

( ̄_ ̄ ) Humph!

——

It was already late at night when they returned to the Duke’s Mansion.

Supper was brought into the Duke and Duchess’ bedroom by a home service robot.

Tu Mianmian went to take a shower, and when he came out of the bathroom wrapped in a bathrobe, Sivir came over and glanced behind him.

Tu Mianmian: “?”

Tu Mianmian reacted immediately and snorted twice, “There is no tail!”

The Duke looked at him indifferently and said calmly, “Let me see again if you have anything.”

Tu Mianmian had taken a bite of the late-night snack, and his mouth was full.

So, after hearing Sivir’s words, he murmured, “Woo, talking too much.”

Although the Duke could not hear what his little husband said, but from the tone of voice and his eyes, he could tell Mianmian was probably scolding him.

Sivir separated the large bunch of Calm Flowers sent by Tu Mianmian and placed them in several corners of the bedroom.

The rich, cold fragrance faintly filled the room and the effect of the flowers was excellent.

Sivir leaned back against the head of the bed, relaxed slightly, while a faint trace of exhaustion could be seen between his brows.

Nonetheless, his eyes staring at Tu Mianmian were extremely soft.

Tu Mianmian was burying his head in supper.

“Hey.” He had just drank a glass of milk and thought it was yummy, “This milk is delicious.”

Tu Mianmian held up another glass and handed it to Sivir, “Drinking a glass of milk before going to bed is good for sleep.”

Looking at the milk handed to him, Sivir turned his eyes away to stare at Mianmian swallowing milk down with his bulging cheeks.

In the end, the Duke decided to be a bully and exchanged a kiss with Tu Mianmian.

After a while, the Duke wiped off milk stains from the corner of his mouth, “Yeah.”

Sivir continued to comment expressionlessly: “It’s delicious.”

Tu Mianmian: “…”

Sivir, you have changed!

Tu Mianmian wiped his mouth angrily, and sat back down in front of his supper on the table.

He was no longer clean!
