Chapter 92 - 92 Exclusive Signal

92 Exclusive Signal

A man stood at the door, silhouetted in the moonlight. The moment he saw the woman in disheveled clothes on the straw, the handsome man suddenly moved.

He rushed to the woman in a few steps, took off his shirt, and covered her body. He gripped her shoulders tightly, and tears suddenly fell on her wounds.

Lian Jing had just finished a meeting when he received Meng Heng’s call.

In fact, the business here had been developing smoothly and did not require a personal visit from the President. However, since he was here, his subordinates were naturally eager to please him.

The Manager did not know what had caused this very important person to suddenly arrive. After nervously reporting on recent developments, he looked up and saw that the man at the head of the table had not heard a word.

Zhong Xin kindly let him leave and poured a cup of tea for his President, who was clearly in a bad mood. “President Lian, I’m afraid the subordinates will be frightened by your sudden arrival.”

“If they haven’t done anything wrong, why would they be afraid of me?” Lian Jing looked up at him and was about to say something when his phone suddenly rang.

“It’s Meng Heng,” Zhong Xin reminded him softly.

Lian Jing’s eyelids twitched. He thought of the boy who had fought him for Shen Yin that night and sneered as he prepared to hang up.

However, Meng Heng seemed to have guessed that he would not answer his call. After hanging up, he sent a message right on the heels of that.

Zhong Xin was amused by the President’s childish behavior but after reading the contents of the message, he stopped smiling. “President Lian, bad news. Meng Heng says that Miss Shen has been kidnapped and her life might be in danger. She needs our help.”

“What are these useless officers doing!” After getting off the plane, Lian Jing hurriedly returned to the office on the top floor of the Lian Corporation.

Meng Heng anxiously reported on their progress. “We’ve already found the suspect, but he didn’t bring Shen Yin back to his residence. It’ll be difficult to find her now.”

“If everyone was as useless as you, the Lian Corporation would have collapsed long ago.” Lian Jing turned on his computer and connected to a tracking signal that only he knew about. “I’ve found it, but the location is not very clear. There are several factories nearby. If we search one by one, the enemy might be alerted.”

“You mean…” Meng Heng frowned as he quickly thought of a plan.

Lian Jing waved his hand impatiently. “Get a police dog. Get going immediately.”

Meng Heng almost blurted out, “Yes!”

Then, he realized that this man was not his captain. But Lian Jing’s swift and decisive style made him subconsciously obey his orders.

But this was his rival in love!

Meng Heng was frustrated, but he knew that this was not the time to make a fuss. He quickly called for the police dogs. They turned on the sirens of the police cars as they rushed the location of the signal.

Nothing must happen to you.

Lian Jing repeated it in his heart as he drove.

It was the evening rush hour, and the traffic at the intersection was heavy. His car had no sirens, but he still stepped on the accelerator and rushed ahead of all the police cars like a madman, hurrying to the location of the signal.

It was a signal that only he could track.

Zhong Xin sat in the passenger seat with his heart in his mouth. He stared at the red dot on the computer screen and reported the location to Lian Jing in real time.

As they drove, the area gradually grew quieter. To prevent alerting the murderer, Lian Jing called Meng Heng and forcefully ordered them to turn off the sirens.

All the cars stopped near the signal. Meng Heng led the police dog and let it sniff Shen Yin’s belongings.

The police dog sniffed the ground repeatedly and suddenly barked at an abandoned bungalow not far away.

Lian Jing’s eyes turned cold. He gestured to the police officer beside him, then walked softly as he slowly approached the house.

In the silence, he could only hear his heart beating. He closed his eyes and stood by the door, patiently waiting for the person inside to let down his guard.

When that person finally opened the door a little, he immediately kicked the door open. The moment he saw Shen Yin, his breathing stopped.

He did not dare to think about what Shen Yin had experienced, so he just rushed up recklessly and covered her before anyone else came in.

Hugging her frail and trembling body, he finally regained some warmth. He had been on edge for the entire day, but now he suddenly relaxed. For the first time, tears actually flowed out of his eyes.
