Chapter 48

As the conversation matured, I began to hear a muffled sound as if people were coming this way as well.

“Doctor, if you don’t mind, I’d like to invite you to Hardland.”

“Oh, it’s been a long time since I’ve had someone I can talk to so well. Of course I have to go!”

“Where can I send you an invitation?”

“I will be here in Lantia for a while.”

It was an unexpected combination, so my eyebrows twitched slightly.

“I am a distant relative of Lantia.”

Perhaps noticing my question, Weathering Blest mischievously winked an eye.

The scholar and I shook hands as if we were allies.

The scholar went away, saying he did not like crowds of people. So I left in a hurry, fearing that I would be surrounded and bombarded with questions.

Yes, coming to the party was a hassle, but it paid off a lot.

As I clenched my fists and made plans for the future in my head, I realized too late that Tess was approaching me.

“Did you enjoy talking to other guys besides me?”

He spoke very sharply, but I couldn’t afford to calm myself because I was excited.

“Yes, be quiet.”

“Euseniel.”

I had to turn my head to the growling voice and see a stern face in front of me.

His words were getting closer, but in reality, it was as if Tess’s face was already in front of me.

That meant that soon, our lips would overlap again.

Tess, who had apparently been trying to get his kiss, suddenly made me kiss him. Tess’s eyes curved as if this thought that had passed through my head went to the other person as well.

No!

Since I accompanied the Emperor and the Emperor sided with me, it’s natural to get into gossip. But this is a different matter. The kiss on the head earlier is a close-call, but this is more than a close-call!

When the faces of the two women, whose eyes had grown so large that their eyes popped out, came into view, the contents of Mother and Father, as well as Ber’s pleas, flew to the far end of my mind.

– Do not use all your strength.

Bang!

I rolled my left foot as hard as I could inside the dress, and in an instant,

“Kyaaak!”

“What’s this!”

Screams erupted from the people around. The ground shook for an instant.

At the moment when everyone was confused, I slightly kicked Tess’s leg sideways.

“What.”

“Oh my God, Your Majesty!”

Then I shouted loudly and grabbed his staggering body.

The vibration stopped right away because I had adjusted my strength, but people were still bewildered. Among them were some fallen ladies and some with their hands on the table.

“Your Majesty, are you okay?”

“Your Majesty!”

People rushed to my cry.

“What is that vibration just now?”

“Is it an earthquake?”

“Your Majesty, are you all right!”

In particular, the knights of the imperial palace approached with white faces. Tess, who had leaned on me, remained still for a moment.

“Your Majesty.”

Hearing the knight’s voice, he grabbed my arm and straightened his body.

Tess, confused as to whether or not he was aware of the situation, flinched when our eyes met. Of course that would be. Because I was smiling, but it was clear that it wasn’t a smile at all.

“Your Majesty, are you injured?”

“Fortunately, there is none.”

“That’s a relief.”

As I spoke with a broad smile, the people next to me all said in unison that it was fortunate that the Emperor was not injured.

Fortunately, no one seemed to realize that I was standing alone and unscathed in this vibration where even the Emperor stumbled. They seemed to have forgotten that the Emperor and I were going to kiss each other.

Instead, the face of the person who tried to do something insidious to me hardened a little.

“…… I’ll have to give orders to find out what’s causing this anomaly. Let’s go back.”

“Yes, I take orders.”

As the Emperor returned, as his partner, I also went with him.

“Gael, where are you?”

Fortunately, the aftermath of the earthquake, which was actually not an earthquake, did not seem to have reached the place where Gael was. The face of my younger sister running towards me seemed calm. She seemed surprised to see the disorganized people.

“Gasp, what is this?”

“There was a weak earthquake here. His Majesty will return to the palace to order an investigation into the cause.”

“I can’t stay here any longer…… ?”

Tess shook his head as I was slightly troubled by Gael’s tilting head.

“No. However, if you return this time, I will invite you to the next party at the imperial palace.”

“Really?”

“Of course, if you come with your sister.”

It was the first time I had heard of a party in the imperial palace. However, I couldn’t help but smile in front of Gael, who held my hand tightly and her blue eyes twinkled.

***

It was quiet in the carriage on the way.

I was going to go to the imperial palace first, then take my family’s carriage there and go home.

“Your Majesty, I shall go back.”

“No, just let Euseniel’s younger sister go first.”

“What?”

I hugged the bewildered Gael and stared at Tess with strange eyes. He grinned.

“Don’t we have something to talk about?”

“What?”

“Something that happened earlier in Lantia…….”

He was trying to figure it out. Whether or not I can reveal in front of people what caused the earthquake. In other words, he wanted to catch my weakness, right?

I wanted to keep my power a secret, so I had to follow Tess while grinding my teeth.

Gael headed to Hardland, escorted by an imperial knight. Tess and I headed to Hill Palace. To Tess’s bedroom, where I had been before.

A large bed, a table and a chair attached to it. And this place, where there was only one vase on the fireplace, looked bleak even after the second time looking at it again. The only adornment of this room was the red canopy.

“Wait, Euseniel. I’ll bring you a chair.”

“No, that’s fine.”

Tess hesitated for a moment, perhaps reading my intention to finish our talk soon. Sitting alone in the chair, he fixed his eyes on me as I leaned against the fireplace with my arms crossed. Then he parted his luscious lips.

“The vibration before, was it Euseniel?”

There was excitement on his face.

“Yes. Because of you, if you ask why.”

“Wow, how did you do that? It wasn’t magic, was it? I didn’t feel any magical movement at all.”

Tess tilted his head and clapped as if he had known it.
